Sometimes having it easy, makes it harder for us to succeed.

And sometimes you need those cockroaches under the mattress to give you that extra push to do something productive.

Sylvester Stallone (anyone remember him?) Tells the story of what his life was like before he made it by writing and starring in Rocky (I - Best picture of 1976 - Not bad for a first timer) -

He talks about how he lived in Hell's Kitchen in New York, and lived in a one bedroom room that was so small he could open the front door and the window opposite the door at the same time- He was pretty motivated to change his circumstances, that's for sure-

Wonder if Rocky would've ever come about if he were living in the lap of luxury at the time-

Poverty is NOT a good thing in my opinion, but it CAN be a GREAT thing if it serves as a catalyst- The problem is of course, I believe that poverty in too many cases leads more to DESPERATION than INSPIRATION - But thanks for the video- Great stuff-

Obviously an 8-year old CAN be taken seriously. His comment about fearing rejection and failure is a major part of why most people do not succeed. I believe his comment was "Success is on the other side of fear". If an 8-year old kid from the projects can overcome his fears (and I am sure that he had a few), then it is sometimes difficult to understand why a person who is not so disadvantaged just can't seem to get on top of things. We know that lazy does not work. A proper mindset does.

I've seen his videos on YT a couple of times. Only now have I seen him being addressed as 'Dr.'. So I went to find out how he got that title and under the external links in his wiki page: 21-Year-Old Farrah Gray, The Youngest Person Conferred An Honorary Doctorate In HBCU History

    Cool stuff.
