Retirement your view!

MY personal view is the concept of retirement is already dated. Also most people who think they are going to retire won't be able to.

In my case i am still three and a half decades away from the point . After a year of being unemployed and gouging my eyes out from the boredom . I am currently looking for where i can add value in this world. Then there is how to get what i want and live where i want.

The goal is to find a way to be productive and be able to live in a different country for 3-6 months at a time and be able to move when ever i have the itch. So the opportunities i evaluate need to make that possible.

but back to retirement. I personal do not ever want to get into work i would ever want to retire from. Adjust and change regularly and find a way to add value to the world . for the rest of my life . I know what i want in the next few years .

Wow, pretty deep. It's good that you want to give back to the world, imagine if everyone else had the same outlook on life

You are a long way off retirement, but when you get closer as I am although it's not for 10 years yet you will find that it's never really a thought that crosses your mind.
If your active, enjoy what you are doing and able to control your life then why retire anyway.
A commitment to give back is a great objective for someone of your age.
    Give and you will receive.

There are plenty of communes you can join and help local communities. That is really giving back to the world. I admire your spirit.

It confuses me though why you are dreaming of retirement, if you want to give back. Giving back means working.

Let me scratch my head a while longer.

I guess i wasn't clear with my post but i did get some response close to what i wanted.

I am confused as to why people confuse wanting to add value in this world to giving back or being charitable. I guess what i was trying to say was .. Instead of planning for retirement i am planning to add value to the world. I can build a business that does that and make me good money to live pretty good on . So I am looking to constantly do that through the rest of my life.

Adding Value has nothing to do with giving back or charity. maybe i am an idealist thinking i should find where i can add the most value.. rather than make the most money . I am also weird and believe those two things are not exclusive to each other.

When it comes to retirement .. why i mention it is the extent where people are taught that is the goal of doing work. to eventually hit the point where you don't have to work anymore.

My view is that instead i am looking for work i never want to stop doing.
