My Favorite Thomas Edison Quotes
These are my favorite Thomas Edison quotes and the ones I truly believe in. See if you like any of them.

I love this one. I believe what he meant by this is that if something didn't sell, then it wasn't useful to anyone. Dictionary.com defines utility as the state or quality of being useful. Therefore, if something didn't sell, it was not useful, and it would not be successful. At least that's my opinion.
"Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward!"
I believe that Edison was very faithful towards God. Not necessarily towards religion, in my mind he didn't have one. But I believe he had faith in God.
"Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing."
Sometimes, we as marketers tend to fall into the trap that we are doing work, when actually we are just being busy. I include myself along with others that do this. I.E. - posting in twitter, Facebook, forums, doing blog comments, answering emails, etc., etc. We need to try to outsource these types of things in order to be more productive. As I said before, I am equally to blame for doing this. In fact I am doing it NOW!!!

Yeah that's true. It's not whistling while you wait, it's hustling that gets the job done. Which is why I am hustling to finish this post so I can get back to work.:p

To be inspired and then perspire is the answer to working hard. At least in my opinion.

I believe Edison was a MAJOR rule breaker.
