What's your success ritual?

Do you have something you do every morning to start off your day on a productive note?

If so, what is it?

How do you ensure your day is going to be a success?

I keep a photo of my family and look at it. They inspire me to do better things with my life

That one I'm good at, looking for something more advanced ;-)

I usually just read affirmations, read a little OG MANDINO(also affirmations)
and I ALWAYS, ALWAYS shower in the morning. Got to be fresh.
Good ideas - had to Google neti pot - UGGHHHH! But the rest is good. I always feel more alert after a shower - they say your body spends the night getting rid of toxins, and that includes through the skin. Affirmations - always good.

I envy you. I've tried - always feel like I'm talking to myself. (I believe in God but he's got to be BUSY I figure ;-) I get better results with meditation. Maybe I should make it a habit to do some meditation each morning.

Thanks for the ideas thus far - what else?

I want to put together a set of morning rituals that gets me started in the right direction each day. Otherwise? I get too distracted with this and that, and before I know it, half the day is gone. I need help!

Right now my only ritual is waking up. I'm sure that one is not going to do the trick. Hopefully some good ideas will show up in this thread.

turn on inspirational music and start my day by checking the earnings and read up some post in the forum before starting my busy day schedule.

This was challenging for me in the beginning to find a great way to start my day so what I ended up doing was putting a note to myself in the bathroom and every morning I get up just a little bit before everyone else and I read my note.

After I read my note, I close my eyes for a minute and I just breathe. After, I go about my day; but those few moments when it is just me and my thoughts and the sound of my own breathe, those moments bring me a strength I never knew before.

Write out my goals for the following day every night before I go to bed on a giant white board. Than as my day goes along I cross things off for that feeling off accomplishment.

I usually do some meditation the night before for the next day. Sometimes when I am super tired and know that I will just doze off when I hit the pillow, I will play on my affirmations recordings playlist in my iPod so that the programmings work on my subconscious when I am asleep. And I have little power notes around my bathroom mirror which I take a look when I brush my teeth in the morning. Keeping motivated for me requires daily reminders cos it's just so easy to be distracted or disappointed.

I always start a day with nutritious breakfast. Then during the day I do some exercises, yoga. In healthy body healthy mind and spirit! And it's very important for me to meet people at the end of the day to be more productive on the next day. That's my secret!

I work 4 days a week and follow the same three step ritual each work day:

    1. BUILD FIRE INSIDE: I read a paragraph I wrote that summarizes my major goal I am working on for that day (e.g., developing a site to generate an additional $ 2k/month income stream from [business model] and more importantly I think about and visualize the feeling I will have when I meet that goal (e.g., half of the profits will go into a vacation pool to pay for taking a high end vacation at a luxury resort in Hawaii).

    2. PERSISTENT FAITH: Then I read my favorite quote (which is on my desk): If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams and endeavor to live the life imagined, you will meet unexpected success in common hours. Thoreau

    3. FOCUS. Most important, I have a daily money list which only contains between 3-5 things I must do that work day to move close toward my goal. I do these things first no matter what - the reward being once they are done, I update the Money List for the next work day I will have. Then, I do anything else guilt-free with the rest of the day (e.g., work on other things down the list, surf the Warrior Forum, read blogs, return emails, read a book, call friends, or just taking the rest of the day off to play tennis).

This three step ritual has made a huge difference for me.

Just get started and work on something productive. It might sound simply but I found the rest often takes care of itself.
    And avoid negative, unmotivated people.
Guess that wasn't a direct answer to your question, but that's my "ritual".

Something that always helps is a poem I came across titled " I do not choose to be a common man" by Dean Alfange. It always motivates me.

        Howdy all,

I make a TASK LIST before I go to bed.

My list is split into two parts.

Part One is all the things I have to get done away from home. Grocery store, bank, lunch with a friend, an appointment somewhere, etc. Errands.

Part Two is then split between advancing my education while applying things already learned. I'm manifesting my success all day long.

While at home, I normally listen to Thievery Corporation type music. It relaxes me.

Hope this helps explain my ritual, it works for me.

I always have to go for a good run in the morning. Makes me feel strong, but also gives me time to clear the mind and think about what I need to do today.

I've always believed if you're feeling good, and start the day off strong, you have more energy to do the things you need to do the rest of the day.
