    Honestly I fail to understand your thinking. The back-link mania is a form of Spam, and people who participate are busy following trends, instead of leading in new directions.
    • What do you ever expect to achieve by building back-links and polluting the internet w/ more Spam?
    • I do *not* mean to offend you, if producing quality content is your true passion, then why isn't that on your graphic. :p
    Disclaimers: Some legitimate back-links are earned with quality content. Anyone who claims mass back-linking is not harming the Web is, IMHO, turning a blind eye to an obvious problem.

            There is most definitely such a thing as link-spam. Just step up a forum and don't require CAPCTHA's on sign ups and you'll change your tune real quick...

            Back on topic though. Like the picture and the car! If that's what motivates you then more power to you! I personally have a picture of my future beach house that motivates me. Whether its on its own island or not has yet to be determined.

              You do know what spam is don't you?

              The OP has every right to build backlinks and if backlinks are spam I suggest you look at the likes of Amazon, Ebay and Youtube and take a look at how their monstrous amount of backlinks have hindered them :rolleyes:

      Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately.

      Not exchanging backlinks. Otherwise, Google is guilty because on every ad they run it says - ADS BY GOOGLE, OMG! notify the backlink police!

    I have a beach with palm trees for my background. I don't care for the things, it's the lack of things and freedom from them, but also being able to get them if I want, that energizes me. So whatever works. And far as the greater good, I have to agree with you. This is about income.
