PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

I read an article where it said over 80% of professional athletes listen to music before games as a form of motivation.

I wonder why getting millions of dollars to play a game isn't motivation enough, but that's just me.

What's your favorite motivation, get you going music?

  For me personally, Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" is the greatest motivational song for me. Of course I grew up on Bob.
  
  But to your question Niche Man, million of dollars to play isn't motivation enough for these athletes, they need to be motivated to win, or else those millions of dollars will be gone in the next team cut. They are of course playing against other guys making millions of dollars.

For some reason (I'm not sure why, because it wouldn't even be the type of music I listen to the most) I find dubstep the most motivational. There just seems to be meaning behind a lot of the music.

That being said, if it were a question of inspirational music, my answer would probably be different.

  It just makes me type faster, feel better, work faster and I just like it.

It's always a mood thing for me. Work-tunes have to be more instrumental focused, less distracting, and calm. Gym-tunes have to be a bit more rocking, my iPod random selections have been favoring Scandinavian metal lately...followed by some classic Bob Dylan.

  This is not my favorite motivational music...but it does work wonders if you're having a hard time getting up and motivated any time of day or night! Keep in mind this is a remix...most NIN doesn't sound like this at all.

One of the main reasons for wanting to make money online is to be able to travel the world and see places. (Places that would've made a nice desktop background for my days spent in cubicle city.) As such, I'm inspired by world music a lot. There's nothing like working from your home with exotic sounds and foreign languages floating around, a constant reminder of what I'm working for.
