Goals, Challenges and Skills for 2009

I got a call from one of the Interviewers of Rich Da, Poor Dad Coaching and he gave me some assignments which I will like to share some of them here.

The first one I will like to share is "Top three log-term goals for next year". Find below the edited version of what I put down:
1. To have a good relationship with God and at the end spend eternity with Him.
2. To have a wonderful family and spend enough quality time with them.
3. To develop business models that can generate cash even if I am not there, probably spending time with my family.

The next one was "Short-term goals for next year". Below are some of the things I put down.
1. Resign from my paid employment.
2. Open a Mastercard Account for my Internet Business transactions and Online Purchases.
3. Publish my first Information Product.
4. Acquire all the necessary skills needed for my business including any that I may invest in later.
5. To join one or more business association(s).

Now to you, what are your long-term and short-term goals for 2009?

I will share my challenges to overcome and skills to acquire with you next time. Prepare yours as well.

Today, I will be sharing the "Challenges to overcome"

    1. Financial Incapability: My business online has suffered a lot of setbacks or stagnation or should I refer to it as lack of grpwth because of financial incapability. There are many places I would have loved to advertise, but because I have no Online Payment Account in order to pay with my Card yet, it is difficult for me to do so. This is one of the challenges I need to overcome in the coming year and I will by God's Grace.

    2. Fear of the Unknown: Sometimes in our life, we seem to be afraid of what the future holds for us. I intend to resign from my paid employment and go into the world of business. That is leaving certainty to uncertainty. But, I believe I will overcome this challenge by His Grace.

    3. Family Obstacles: I kind of find it difficult to do some certain things sometimes because I have to attend to some family needs. Now, by family, I mean some of the things I provide for my sister's children and some of the needs of my sibling, because I am not yet married. This is another challenge I have to overcome. I have to somehow severe the ties with family. That does not mean cutting them off completely though.

    4. Forces of evil: Some of us may not believe or accept this, but, sometimes these forces can prevent one from moving forward. However, I know with God, I can overcome this as well. God is greater and more powerful.

Do you have challenges you have to overcome in the coming year? Let us share together and offer advice on how we can overcome them. I will appreciate it if I can get some advice on how to overcome my challenges as well.

      Hello Omari Taylor here,

Well I'm going to keep this short and to the point. In 2009 I want to help as many people as possible quit the jobs and I also have my first million dollar year.

      • My goals for 2009 are very different from those of 2008. Last year I went through breast cancer surgery and reconstruction and I am all better now. But what a difference a year makes! This year instead of just trying to feel "normal" again, my goals are:

        (1) Not to take any B.S. from family, friends or business associates. If someone is not treating me (or others) with respect, I will let them know it (also, everything honest and above board).

        (2) To find an easier way to get my work/mission out there, and I think a good place to start is with these forums and blogs.

        (3) To ALLOW more goodness/plentifulness to come my way in terms of opening up to new experiences and opportunities for growth in both my personal life and business.

After going through the posts I made sometime ago on the above subject-matter, I realised that I was only able to get a card account (not Mastercard, but Visa card) and also publish an abridged edition of an Information product.

Review your own and let's find out if you were able to achieve all you set out to do for the year or how far you went in the achievement of your goals for the year 2008.
