Need to find something? Stop looking.

I was staring at my phone, looking for a customization option. It was one of those dead stares where I was looking but not so much seeing. I exited that screen, looked in another menu, then back in the first, knowing the option I was looking for there had to be there. Didn't see it.

A couple minutes later I had long since forgotten, and went looking for a DIFFERENT customization option. Then, in that very first menu I checked, the first thing I was looking for was staring me right in the center of the screen.

My rapid up and down searching helped me miss what was right in front of me.

This happens to me all the time. My watch fell of my wrist the other day, and the moment I gave up looking for it, it appeared. What's up with that?

Soon as I leverage knowing this information to actually stop searching sooner and save me some time. Then we'll be talking.

It's one of the common problem we face nowadays. It simply represent the lack of concentration. There is so much cooking in our mind which prevents us from focusing at one thing at a time.

Yeah, it's funny how that stuff happened. I lost my house key and keep searching it for hours but when i stopped looking, I found it right by my doorstep. I agree that sometimes you just need to lay low a little to have fresher and cleaner mind to focus better.

That happened to me last year. I had been struggling to find a full time job as a high school teacher, and finally one day I basically gave up looking. I posted all my teaching and history books on Amazon and I started focusing on starting a personal training business. A few days later, I got a call from a school that I don't remember applying to, and they did a phone interview with me and hired me on full time.
So, I guess sometimes you have to just let go and let the universe take care of things for you.

Specifically it's not the 'stop searching' that's the case ... it's letting go of the forced searching ... and releasing it to your subconscious mind to find.

Your Subconscious rules a hell of a lot more of your brain than your conscious ... so if it's that important for you to find, it'll find it!
