Welcome Every Morning With A Smile

Welcome every morning with a smile.
Look on the new day as another special gift
from your creator, another golden opportunity
to complete what you were unable to finish
yesterday.

Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme
of success and positive action that is certain to echo
through your entire day.

Today will never happen again.
Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all.
You were not born to fail."

  • I've heard this before. All good stuff. Even smiling alone is good for you. It's common wisdom that people smile as a reaction to being happy, this is true of course, but I've always found that smiling actually works backwards too. If you smile, it makes you feel happy. I see so many people looking downright miserable in the street, and sometimes I just want to run up to them and say "SMILE!", but I guess we can't all go around grinning like maniacs all the time -- would be fun if we did though wouldn't it?

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. We only have today...a 24 hour gift of time to use as we choose. If you waste a single day, you will never be able to get it back again so start each day with a smile and a positive attitude. List your goals for the day, even if they are to do nothing but relax, and smile contentedly at the end of the day because you have achieved your goals for that day.

Easier said than done. How could you smile when you have so much going on your mind. There is plenty of negativity around you. But it is worth giving a try. Let's see what happens.

    Yes very true indeed.

Most people live in either regret of the "Past" or "Fear" of the future.

"Smiling" regularly can certainly assist with "Gratitude" of the moment.

yea great post & I like the sentiment in it. My grandmother always used to say smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone - its right as well

I really try to keep that optimism even if sometimes life gives me lemons... well most of the time actually. It's great to draw inspirations from handicapped who try to live a normal life despite their conditions.

I will remember to smile every morning when I first wake up. I have been kind of sad and upset lately about my online business being so slow to make any money for my family and that is not helpful. Everyday is a gift and this journey of learning and growing in this make money online venture is also a gift. I will welcome every morning with a smile and a thankful heart. Thank you for this reminder.

Life is like a mirror, we get the best results when we smile at it. :-)

Smiling changes the underlying mood of any situation and is always an ice breaker lifting your mood and that of the person you're interacting with. Slight gestures like this can have a great impact in your positivity throughout the day. Thank you so much for this post!

So true and one that happens to me every day. The first thing I do online is check in with my weekly to-do list to see where I need to concentrate today. Works well for me and I can add or delete during the week as needed.

I agree the first hour of my day sets the tone for the rest of the day - unless someone/something gets me off track. Usually, I'm able to stay on track.

Thanks for sharing this passage. I've read it before, but it is a great reminder.
