What drives you to go back to your PC when you don't feel like to?

Do you experience some days when you don't feel like going back to your PC to work? May I know how you deal with it?

Thanks for sharing.

    Jose,

The only time I don't want to go anywhere near my computer is when I've just sat there continuously for hours and hours and haven't really had a break. I'll sometime go out for drive to the local mall or go for a walk or jog. Or I might phone a friend and meet them for lunch. That usually works for me. Then back to it !

        No worries Jose.

What about you ? What do you do to lure yourself back ? Are you finding it difficult at the moment ?

        Cheers,
        Stephen

          Thanks Stephen for asking.

I used to have some difficulty going back to my PC because I felt facing a blank wall. I was clueless on my short-term to long-term business plan. But when I finally found an internet entrepreneur whom I could trust and took his free intern program, that's the time I started to see the BIG picture.

Now, it's no longer as difficult as before. But it's nice to know how others (more successful marketers like you) are dealing with occasional down moments (whenever they occur).

And am also discovering that it's best to have a balance between physical and mental activities. So, lately am also doing some household chores...

            Good for you Jose!

That's what I also do: I balance myself, and since I have a family I always have plenty to do around here.

In my case it's the other way around... I would like to have more time available to be at my computer

When you're not feeling motivated, jump in the car and go sit in traffic along with everyone else who's stuck in the 9-5 routine. That will motivate you to get working -

When that happens to me, I take it as a signal that I need a break.

Sometimes I'll go jump on our trampoline, play with our dogs, snuggle with my husband, eat or soak in our hot tub for a while. That always helps me to refocus and get back to what I was doing before.

I often write stuff in big notepads, in fact I can think much more clearly that way..otherwise just have a break - do something completely different - balance is vital, get some fresh air - you'll soon be ready to go again :-)

Thanks so much Dagmar and Jerry

Meeting you guys here in this particular section of the Warrior Forum is a breath of fresh air to me. Am now discovering that there are many more great places here in WF other than the Main Discussion section.

I started to participate few days ago here in Warrior Forum, mainly in the Main Discussion section. I had some missteps, probably not surprising for a beginner. I rubbed some of the people the wrong way. But nothing is intentional.

Now I know why Will Edwards say that what drives him back to his PC is "The Warrior Forum". It's quite reinvigorating in here!

Thanks so much for your kind help.

I take frequent breaks to play with Honey, my Jack Russell Terrier, and I go for a long walk every day.

Walking helps me to think. So if I get stuck at the computer, I go for a walk.

I firmly intend that by the time I get back to the computer, I'll have the solution to the problem. :-)

    It always works.

Near the end of the day, if I'm feeling exhausted, I turn the computer off and read for an hour. That refreshes me, and while reading my book I usually get ideas floating into my mind, which I write down.

Take regular breaks, and you'll have a reason to turn on the computer -- I'm usually eager to get back to it. :-)

    Cheers

I can get demotivated when Im not getting the results that I expect. So if I want to get some 'work' done but cant face the computer I'll read a self development book, do some affirmations or things like that.

If I really want time out from everything I chuck on my favourite music, indulge in a massage or head to the beach. I try and get my perspective back by focusing on whats important to me in life.

Then I can head back to the computer and enjoy the learning journey without all the pressure of 'will this work?'.

Exercising is good. It gives your eyes a break and keeps your body healthy living this sedentary lifestyle.

If I ever feel like I don't want to work I watch a motivational video, look at a place in the world I want to go, read a newspaper article about retiring at the age of 70!

There are many things around to motivate you, you just have to decide what you want, and not stop till your have it! (as long as you don't tread on anyone else to get there)

Working on your own from home can be a solitary experience and I often find myself finding anything else to do rather than sit in front of my PC - even the ironing! However, you just have to keep on reminding yourself why you are doing this and to keep on motivating yourself. What I do now is to work in the mornings solidly as this is my best time and do other things in the afternoon. If you feel like some company then go to your local coffee shop that has wi fi and do your work - that also helps.

I step back and don't go to work. Breaking the rut, is important to me. I use to be obsessed with work. Now I plan my day so that I can't get burnt out. I am a believer that forcing yourself to work, makes you get less done. Good question Jose.

I just go round my house looking out the windows at wonderful views I have (I live way on top of a hill in the most beautiful county in England- Somerset) and I say to myself "If you want to keep looking at those views you have got to work"!

    Prosperity to us all

I strictly keep me away from computer for some time say 2 to 3 hours. After spending some time away, I always feel like I need to go online...

    And it works
