How to put money in your future

Listen to anyone talk about making money without a traditional job and you'll undoubtedly hear and see lots of skeptics.

When you talk to these people you probably hear things like "I've tried everything and nothing works".

...I hear comments like that I always think to myself "Why don't you stick with just one thing and go with it till you get an outcome?".

The issue isn't that everything's a scam, nothing works, or that there is no money to be made. The issue is, what I call, S.O.S. - Shiny Object Syndrome

That changes the situation.

People need to stop thinking "Nothing works. Everything's a scam." and start asking "Why do I jump from one idea to another before getting results?"

The answer to that is simple.

You're not making your future look enticing in your own mind.... And if you don't think your future looks good, why would you move towards it?

Here's a simple solution that will make you want to reach your destiny...

Imagine what you want to be doing 5 years from now.

Work backwards year by year from where you want to be to where you are now. (Once you have the years figured out, add a little drop down box in your mind with the months of each year. I don't know about your year, but mine moves in an orderly fashion... so I don't want abstract goals that I'm going to accomplish some time in the year - I'm going to have this laid out month by month so I can see I'm really making progress.)

You've now got a yellow brick road to follow to the Emerald City. This map alone could change your life...

But that's just the beginning!

Take a mental snap shot of your world right now. Where you're sitting, what's around you, any smells you smell or sounds you hear.

That picture is life size, right? It's what's going on right now.

Where is the mental picture of your future you want? What does it look like?

Is it small and off in the distance? Off to the side somewhere?

... It doesn't matter exactly where it is, just that you know where it is.

Bring it up to the front of your mind so it's life size.

Really look at your picture. Are you in it?

If you're not, or you see yourself standing in your picture, but not through your own eyes, adjust your mental camera so you are looking through your own eyes.

See your future as if you're living it!

Look around you. Who's in your picture? What are you doing?

Turn that picture into a movie and enjoy yourself living the life you've wanted...

Stay there for a while. Really enjoy it.

When you've had enough fun and really feel great about what's in store for you, come back to now and (if you haven't done this already) write down your plan of action.

Start where where you want to end up and work backwards just like we did before.

Now you've got it on paper. Now you have an objective.

You no longer have a need to jump from shiny object to shiny object, because you know where you want to go and how to get there.

Enjoy that thought for as long as you'd like.

Then, when you're done. Start doing what it'll take to move towards your perfect future.
