PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

I'm gonna start this by saying sorry. Sorry because I have read many of these posts here before, and I always found myself thinking that when the time came I wouldn't bother with it...

But, after telling friends and family and them not REALLY getting it, I decided I had to post it here...Just because...

I've known for a long time that I wanted to do something myself, something entrepreneurial maybe. And I tried many things online that I had high hopes for, but which ended in disappoint for one reason or another.
Then a few months ago I came across this forum, a forum which put forward in huge quantities discussion on everything I was interested in doing for a living. I can't say it simpler than this, I don't have much experience, but I love it.

I made an Amazon WP affiliation site about 2 months ago and but some effort into content. Then it was nearing study time for my still upcoming exams, so I had to leave it be for a time with the intention of returning to it once my exams were complete. Even before my break, I was so enthusiastic about all this, it took me a while to drag myself away from it all.

I had been checking my amazon affiliation account every few days at first, waiting to see if there was anything. Then I stopped, because it became obvious that nothing would appear there until more effort was put in...And I was fine with that.

However, I decided to check my account the other day and I was SHOCKED to see $21! And not only 1 sale...3! I can't believe it even still. Something is finally working.

I can't wait to get my exams done and get going on my website(s) again! I'm not in it for a quick buck, I would have been happy to put in 2 or 3 months of work for only small returns. But I feel the first sale is a bit of a milestone now, and I'm so happy.

hesitating internet marketers should certainly stick to internet marketing and not listen to other people they know. People that are unfamiliar with IM will always be negative to it, it's simply beyond their level of comprehension. Many people believe that the internet is full of scammers, viruses and other unpleasent things. They exaggerate everything and become suspicious when they hear someone talk about the possiblities of earning money on the internet, some might even say that it's ridiculous. To become successful, one must not listen to these uninformed pessimists. Think about this qoute:

"Don't give up. There are too many nay-sayers out there who will try to discourage you. Don't listen to them. The only one who can make you give up is yourself."
