Struggling and Ready To Quit?- Here is my story!!!

I cannot walk people through what they need to do to succeed, however, I can tell you this, if you do quit, you will NEVER succeed.

So having said this, let me give you a bit of a background on me and my start with IM. I hope this motivates you to stick it out.

I am not a native English speaker, my grammer most of the time sucks , I did not graduate from some high tech university, and my technical skills were total ZERO when I started in 2007 (Nov. to be more exact). Actually all I knew about Internet at the time was some basic Google search for some stuff, and how to open my e-mail.

I did use eBay to sell some stuff prior to getting into Internet Marketing and Affiliate marketing at the time. I did run successful business prior to this, but in totally different industry - so again, no experience what so ever. add to it my age (at the time just 27)

Now I am writing this to you, exactly how it is. Because I know that at least 50-60% of people who get started in this do not have technical skills at all.

You should also know that at the time I had 3 year old and 1 year old at home. So trying to manage kids, home, and totally new business was not easy.

As many I've invested some money and it was wasted, but one training did help a lot and it was the best $60 I ever spent. I will not say who they are so it does not seem as advertisement, but that training was so good, for one reason only...it showed me basics.

I am a strong believer that you have to build strong foundation in order for your business to stand strong for a long time.

So the basics are:

• Learn how to build decent sales page or money page.
• Learn how to drive traffic from multiple sources
• Build your mailing list along the way

There is no magic formula to this business in reality. You just need those basics. Technical stuff you can learn along the way. Trust me on this, I've wasted so many hours on technical stuff, but fact is, you need just one website, and that one website can earn you a lot of money. You do not need many sites, one is enough.

Take a look at Squidoo. There are Squidoo lenses that make $1000 per day. Gush...I am not saying you need to build squidoo type of site :-) I am just saying that one page on squidoo can make $1000 per day, for most IM-ers that is just enough :-)

Now the problem is, for most newbies, they want to learn a lot right away. I will tell you, get the basics taken care of, and take action. Do the work and make mistakes, because you will learn from them. Follow the simple plan, and not complicated one. Get the traffic to money pages, and use multiple sources of traffic. That will bring you cash, once you know you can earn, do some more of it.

NEVER stop TRYING, because if you do stop, you cannot succeed.

You see...I can say it was "easy" - one of the most popular sales page words. It was NOT easy. But it was doable. The hard work has paid off. Between me and my partner we do earn 5 figure income per month.

Side note: One of the best decisions of my business was to get a partner, someone who is as hard working as I am. This way I would share the workload, and have time to spend time with my kids. If you don't want to work with a partner, get part time assistant at some point and move even to full time when you can.

We are not the best Internet Marketers, our sales page is not the best, and our website is not the fanciest, but we make it work because we do the work every day. We follow that simple plan: we have decent sales page, and we drive traffic to it, we build the list along the way.

One thing we added to the mix is that we personalized our service, so most of our customers we know by name. Also, each month we would set aside "investment" for our business, something we would be comfortable with. Plus we realized that building membership type of site is the best way to go. (listen to that advice ) because recurring income is guaranteed paycheck.

While you can start this business without investment, know also that you will make faster profits if you do invest into basics: Domain, email auto responder, and of course hosting. But besides that outsourcing the work and investing in traffic is very sane business decision.

Now, in the last 4 years, besides having 2 small kids, I've moved from one continent to another, I've worked around the clock building this business, and run into some unexpected personal problems. But even with my life interfering, we (my partner and I) managed to build xx,xxx/mo income. This business now feeds many families because we have employees as well.

I now have time to spend weekends with my kids, go to all their activities, and even spend time with my friends and family. I even have time to work on me, and I am already living the life I dreamed of.

But again, I would not be here if I quit. I thought about it many times, but today, I really am glad I did not.

I truly hope this post will help you. Today, one person asked a question, why are some Internet Marketers so successful and others are not. I guess, the only difference is that they found one way that worked for them, and stuck to it. Bottom line, they never gave up, they improved along the way, but the strong foundation of basics still stands. And it always will :-)
