How true do you think this statement is in regards to IM?

Here Zig Ziglar is more talking about success in general,
and not just specifically on IM, but I think this quote from
Ziggie is especially applicable to IM.

You don't even have to look far for the proof. If you just
look around the Warrior Forum, the most successful warriors
are those who have a genuine desire to help others and
regularly provide generous advice and tips

Here's the quote:

"You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get
what they want." - Zig Ziglar

And in terms of the "secret" to success, this is definitely one of them.

    Lets just take a step back before we start the topic.

    This is why its important to have a Passion for what you're doing in life.

    Donald Trump said it. "Love what you do" Others have said similiar quotes.

    The theroy is, when you have a passion for something so much, and you love to do it (and its not work to you) then you can excel at the one thing better than most people in that market as they don't always share the same type of passion as you do.

    So if you have a passion for you're particular market, niche, and love what you do, i believe it can translate into wanting to help people.

    Now, of course you need to be in a market that will make money and know how to make it and if thats true and you're truly helping people and have a passion for what you do, people will see it in you, hear it in your voice, see it in your work, ect.

    And business is about adding value and helping people in some way. Its basically about matching a need/problem to a solution. So the more people you help, the more money you make, and the more successful you can become.

      You're right, without genuine passion and desire, your motivation
      in helping others won't be very strong.

    It sounds great, but uses the weasel word "enough."

    Didn't get what you wanted? Apparently you didn't help "enough" people. You might have helped 100,000 people, but that wasn't "enough."

    Plenty of people with passion are poor, and many get rich doing things they have no passion for (other than the money).

    A better saying for business would be: "You will make as much as you want if you sell people enough of what they want to buy."

    I think it's the essence of IM. Being at the top of SERP and offering exactly what visitors want is what makes Zig's quote come alive for me.
