"The Super Wealth Secrets They don't Want You to Know About!"

Really? I am sure you have all seen this or some variant of it...

Frankly I am a little sick of this overused bit of copywriting drivel. I just heard an ad for another Kevin Trudeau book "Your Wish is your command" - with this bit as the subtitle...

Trudeau is a convicted felon, convicted of fraud and larceny - that's a fancy way of saying he is a con man who got caught. While I am sure that some of the principles in his new book is sound, I know from flipping through a few of them at the bookstore that he essentially rehashes stuff you can get for free online or in a library. I guess in a pure marketing sense he is a good marketer - but not a great one.

The problem is I see this kind of headline all over the place for all sorts of things, and that unfortunately includes this forum. I am frankly tired of this overused mantra which, in my opinion, is a major red "con" flag. The truth is there are no real secrets to wealth and success. Instead, there are simple principles that anyone can discover, and that have never been "hidden". The fact that people still get sucked in by this claptrap makes my blood boil on occasion, mainly because it shows a bit of a sucker mentality on the part of the person seeking success, and a poor moral standing of the person selling the so-called "secrets".

Well, I will let the "cat out of the bag"... Here are your secrets:

1.) Our rewards will always be in exact proportion to our service. -Earl Nightingale.
2.) The successful are those who are willing to do what everyone else is not willing to do.

That is it. Just two principles. Do these and you will succeed.

But let's look deeper.

Earl said it best, so I quoted him in the first principle. Our service to those who are our customers, or who could be our customers is what they want and expect from us. They reward us for what we give them, but it must our service to them first, before reward. It is all too easy to get the order mixed up in our immediate gratification world, and so what happens is, well... nothing! We do deliver, and we don't get a reward. Or, we deliver what we think is our best, and we don't get rewarded fast enough so we quit delivering.

But real lasting success is a by-product. When we get that ingrained in our work habits, then we will achieve success, the rules built into the universe will not allow us any other option!

The second point is just as important as the first. Be willing to do the things that others are not willing to do - by doing that, you solve people's problems. People love people who solve their problems! And they will reward them handsomely.

Have you ever heard of the company "Waste Management"? It is a multi-billion dollar waste processing company - but it started with one man and his horse dawn cart. His "Super Wealth Secret"? He, and his family were willing to pick up other peoples trash with his cart, and eventually trucks(second principle), do it with a smile and a clean, tidy service (first principle), and constantly improve his service to his customers with clean trucks, happy employees, and constantly new and improved techniques - all things that the other "trash haulers" were not willing to do.

You see most people will do the bare minimum required to get a paycheck... and no more. Successful people will try to do as much as possible, as efficiently as possible, and see promising new things that they could do. In fact, a truly successful person is plagued with the sheer awesome number of possible opportunities he or she sees, and usually has a massive list of things that could be done if only they had enough time.

Well - back to my original point. There is no secret that "They" (Whoever they are) don't want you to know about; In fact most real successful people wish that more people would put these principles into practice!

Saying this in your copy makes you sound like a huckster and a con-man. There is no underground cabal out there trying to extinguish the "secret knowledge" so that only a few attain greatness.
If you still believe in this secret knowledge non-sense I will be glad to sell you my "Secret Tin Hat that They don't want you to know about!" for only $19.99 order before midnight tonight!

- David T. McKee
"Sledgehammer" - my sig has no "secrets that I don't want you to know about" I promise!

I agree to only this part:
1.) Our rewards will always be in exact proportion to our service. -Earl Nightingale.
2.) The successful are those who are willing to do what everyone else is not willing to do.

I must say be careful, how you word your frustration. Right now, your comment is so negative! You should have probably kept your cat. Change your attitude and you will see your life change. Try smiling sometimes!
