Patience Is A Virtue!

Everyone,

I would like this thread to be true stories on patience in your businesses or even lives. These types of stories motivate and help people and that is what it is all about.

In my business when I started it I was very impatient. I wanted to make the money NOW and it was not happening. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong and then after attending a special event and hearing stories from all over the world on the same issue I was having is that I was trying to hard. I slowed down and really took time to add quality to all of my work. Things started to pick up.

Anyone in that situation, just slow down and take it one step at a time. Make sure what you do is 100% and be consistent and everything else will fall into place.

Thanks for reading and I hope you contribute!

I agree that some people try too hard. In addition, some people don't realize this process takes times....at least for most people.

Covering your bases and using white hat marketing techniques is undoubtedly important when it comes to online marketing success.

James 1:4 tells us that we must let patience do its perfect work so that we can become mature and complete, not lacking anything. Patience is not passive, but active. In some translations patience is described as persistence.

I agree that many get into online marketing business because that have the impression that one can immediately start making money. Unfortunately this misconception ends up in frustration and such entrepreneurs quit prematurely.

Patience together with determination leads to success. Online marketing is always works in progress and it takes some time until one sees results. I always encourage people to join this industry with realistic vision and objectives and to never give up.

One may try methods that will not work but that does not mean that one failed. It is only a lesson learned and one moves on to another method that suits the respective market.

Never give up and the results will eventually come.

    Thanks

This isn't really a story but more of a mindset that I have.

When I enter into a new environment, like IM, I anticipate a big learning curve. I know there will be failures, I know there will be victories and most of all, I know there will be lessons. For that reason, I detach from the outcomes. I'm not attached to making $1000 a month at this time. I'm not even attached to making $100 a month. I simply want to be active in this environment. Whatever comes my way is fine.

I've been active in internet marketing for a little over a week. I've dispelled a lot of myths, done a tiny bit of networking, made a couple mistakes, sold a couple articles and that's about it. I've made $8 so far. I'm planning on letting that money pile up until I don't feel challenged anymore. Then I'll know it's time for the next lesson, whatever that might be.

        Patience + Motivation = Success

        The best example Warren Buffet

Forbes.com: What's the most important lesson you've learned from Warren Buffett?

Mary Buffett: Patience and discipline. And doing something you love. So many people--and Warren has said this--are doing it for the money. That's really not the right reason. If you're doing something you love, you're more likely to put your all into it, and that generally equates to making money. He always says when he gets up in the morning he goes to his pleasure dome, which is his office.

i agree that patience is great virtue as it is not always possible that every effort will give you an instant result or gain and sometimes it gives nothing. so it utmost necessary that we should have patience as well as we must have courage to face failure.

The title says it all...There is nothing like waiting...I've waited for everything I wanted whether it was a camera or internet marketing....Waiting is the key to success...BTW i got that camera for a nice price for waiting...you'd be surprised what a little bit of patience could get you...Think of it it this way...while you're waiting you know that's what you want. but when the next big thing comes out you can get that thing you wanted for a cheaper price or you would pay less...All in all waiting always works for me.

Patience is key but some people tend to give up waay to soon. The reason is they need to find the best information quickly and stop getting side tracked. If you're trying to move forward don't look sideways. Being side tracked will kill some of that patience and have you quitting before you even begin. Stop putting a time limit on success in the IM business. If you want to be successful fast only read what you think will benefit and skim through the rest. Knowledge is power but you don't need to know everything to be successful.

Patience is a virtue every man and woman should strive to have. Without it things can go terribly wrong, where with a little patience it could very well have went your way. Those who are impatient waste there lives thinking of tomorrow. Furthermore many times bad experiences often help build a better character.

Agreed. I finally started to make some real progress after I started thinking of my online business as if it was a physical business. I try to remind myself of this analogy every time I get disappointed when my efforts don't produce immediate results. I have to slow myself down and focus on long-term gradual growth instead of hoping for bursts of cash and getting frustrated when they don't materialize.

    -Thanks for sharing.

Patience is a virtue. This is actually a virtue that people should develop in themselves. Attaining dreams really takes time, since we are undergoing some process of development and experiences that will make us who we are at present. Let's not make things hastily since most work which are done hurriedly doesn't have the same result as the work that was given ample time to be finished. Remember, Michaelangelo didn't paint the design of the Sistine Chapel in just a day, it took him years to finish his masterpiece. And what he gave us is a masterpiece created in years, a beautifully painted design in the Sistine Chapel.
In addition, success is attainable if one has the patient for it. A professional engineer didn't attain his profession in a week or months, it took him years to in that position. Time develops a person into what they would become, through the lesson that they learned, and experience teaches them to improve.
Just be patient, if at first you failed in your objective, learn from that failure and use that as a challenge to do better and improve yourself. Nothing is impossible if we are patient enough for it.

“Learn the art of patience. Apply discipline to your thoughts when they become anxious over the outcome of a goal. Impatience breeds anxiety, fear, discouragement, and failure. Patience creates confidence, decisiveness, and a rational outlook, which eventually leads to success.” –Brian Adams

I use to have the exact same problem and then one of my coaches told me that I need to slow down and breath. He said that if I rush success then I'll create a resistance against having it. All my life, with everything I've done, I've always exhibited extremist behavior whether it was in school or my online business or exercising. Perhaps it's because I come from the microwave generation which wants things done now but IM has really opened my eyes now and I think I have become a better person for adopting patience into my business routine.
