How to discover yourself

I read that the secret to early success is early discovery of self.Now,how do you discover yourself?You can discover yourself by figuring out what you love to do,that is;what comes naturally.What is that thing that you don't find it stressful to do?Even while you are on the sick bed,you still feel like doing it.Is it writing,sports,singing,dancing and so on.What you have to do is to now build on it by improving the gift.Package it and than find a way of marketing it.Micheal Jackson started singing at the age of 4,That is one of the reasons why he made it early.Discover yourself now and you are on your way to the top.

    I understand what you're saying, but I can't agree. I don't believe that we are the sum total of our talents and abilities. Yes, Michael Jackson may have started singing at 4 years old, but what was his quality of life? Did he ever get to be just a little boy running around playing little boy games or dreaming little boy dreams? He died a tragic death at an early age. I believe Michael Jackson was more than just a performer. He appeared as a lost little boy his whole life looking for someone to love Michael not just his incredible talent.

    The problem with Michael Jackson is that he wasn't the master of his own destiny. He was bound by contracts and obligations. But, his talent alone could've taken him anywhere he wanted if only he was free...

    I think everybody has a talent that can be marketed. For me, living off your passion is the only true way to live...

      I agree, Understand that inner happiness only comes about via Self esteem + Self respect + ... If you find your true passion and devote yourself to it!!

    I think it takes time, and you people never truly discover themeselves because we are always changing and growing. What we wanted with our lives today may not be what we wanted with our lives ten years ago. But knowing what you want, or why you want it, as far as what you believe it would truly bring you, is important.

    How can you explain late bloomers then? "Discovering yourself" is really just code for being successful. All success takes is practice so that you know what you are doing. Some people do it early so they rise up to the top early, and some take a while. The real key is just doing things you enjoy so that you become good at them
