and with great memory,health and you have a talent for writing......so you can make money
in article writing also.....fiverr is a good place to start for small money...but u can do that twomorrow if u choose to. and lots of other things......keep reading the forum posts learn from here and have a great attitude about this and do it with perseverence and passion.read the newbie post.there was a good one there ....i do not remember which post........so my friend...never give up! I am a newbie so I cannot advise you on technical things.....

A lot of massive action will get you out of your funk. Nothing else. There is no other way.

If you made 5k a month online (in a respectable/legit manner) you'd feel great about what you did, and you'd have all the freedom in the world.

Since you DON'T have any money, the only way you are going to make this money is trading your time (writing content/making videos).

Seriously, your path is set. Right?

So get cracking making a butt-load of high quality content and put it on websites that you create! Help a bunch of people with every piece of content you put on the web.

DO this until you reach your goal, and you'll succeed. Period. Age has nothing to do with it.

This is the KEY right here. Age has nothing to do with success... You can be successful at 18 or 80. The key is to keep doing it and realize that failure is not failure until you quit. When you quit, you have failed.

I read this in a book, and I think its applicable to this situation and maybe many others.

1. Start where you are.
2. Use what you have.
3. Do what you can.

Abraham Lincoln is a great example of a man who overcame many failures and didn't have much success until later in life.

To me, this seems like more of a pity party than a serious question, but I'll answer with a feel good and a not-so-feel-good.

The feel good - I have had multiple personal interactions with a 82 year old "retired" but nearly broke farmer, that got started in IM just five months ago. He bought his first computer less than a year ago. He had never sent an email in his entire life before then.

He's a persistent old man, and because of that... he's made a small, but for him substantial, addition to his Social Security income. If he can do it, anyone can, case closed.

The not-so-feel-good - You say your prof. implied you were an irresponsible student. If you forget to turn in important assignments, she may be right. Not trying to slam you when you're down, but that "forgetfulness" probably extends all over your life, and of course into your past marketing efforts.

Forget about the "make $3000 a month guarantee", it's a lie. Yes, a lie, there are no guarantees. Can a guarantee that an oaf that won't get off of his backside will make money? Ridiculous. Making money takes work. Making lots of money takes work, or lottery style good timing.

Quit worrying about what everyone else is doing and get busy, if you aren't seeing results from what you've done the last three years, try something different. Just learn from what you've learned, and make it happen.

If you want this bad enough, you will get it.

Are you kidding me?! lol You're never too old to succeed at anything man. Don't stress about it. If you put you're mind to it then you can get anything you want achieved.

It could be worse. You could be a siamese twin and your brother could be totally unmotivated.

You know those little hobbies that you do? The stuff your dad probably hates?

Do those things for money. Put them on autopilot though, so yeah, create your own products. Heck, create a service. Make some big money, buy a beemer man! In fact, go down to the BMW dealer right now. Do it. Bring your dad with you and tell him you are going to buy him a 6 series convertible. Finance it, do the lease.

Then tomorrow, start calling businesses in the yellow pages and sell them a web design package, fulfill the service yourself in the beginning to pay for dad's new 6 series.

So tell us what happens when you get back from the dealer and then after your first 50 calls.

Life has still a lot to offer for a 25 years of age. For success doesn't based on age but on the determination and perseverance a mind has.

So if anybody wants to get successful, he or she must have the willingness to embrace whatever happens along the way during the time of his striving.

Are you taking some sport activities?

Sport is good remedy for depression.

I did this with 3 kids, a full time job, house and husband to take care of!

You CAN do this -- pick ONE method -- APPLY it. Work at it EVERYDAY - don't buy another product -- don't get side tracked -- FOCUS.

Just wanted to add in my .02 here....

I am by no means an "expert" in the field of IM, mainly because the bulk of my business is purely SEO (which is a part of IM). However, I can relate to your story and exactly how you feel.

I'm 26 years old, still live with my parents, am still single and I own a business now for the past 3 years. When I went to college, I majored in English because I liked to write. Much like you, I didn't want to necessarily become a teacher, which is almost the inevitable fate of most English majors. When I graduated college (I crammed 4 years into 5) I had a BA in Creative Writing/English and a minor in Communications. I moved back home after college and I thought I'd have no problem getting a job b/c of my fresh degree and willingness to work whenever. Well....FAIL. I ended up working in a Macy's for about 2 days before I quit, because I just couldn't deal with people who had a lower education than me, telling me what to do and speaking to me like I was a child. I'm a grown ass man and will not accept that.

So, I quit my job and the next 6 months were filled with unemployment, debt, and pissed off parents (my dad in particular). It wasn't until 6 months later that I decided to use my writing to become a copywriter and start a freelance copywriting business. So I did. Eventually, the copywriting turned into website content, which turned into website design, which turned into SEO. 3 years later, I still live at home and I'm still single. But I went from making $0.00 a month and working out of my bedroom, to making a few hundred a month and now I have my own office for free (trading services). I may not be making thousands of dollars right now, but you know what ? I will. But I still have to learn, experience and repeat. That's the key to success.

I have plenty of friends who were born into rich families and were given everything they wanted as a child. They've never known what it's like to be "poor" or "unwealthy" and the stresses it puts on you and your family. They have great jobs too making $40-$50K a year which is good money for a 26 year old. And just like you, they like to party and spend money like it's nothing and often I can't join in for lack of funds. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN A DAMN THING!!!! And you need to realize that! I look at it this way...I could be just like my friends and go get a "regular job" where I could make a guaranteed paycheck. OR I could continue to pursue my dream of building an SEO firm from the ground up, with nothing but my own sweat, blood and tears. And when I retire, I can look back and know that I accomplished something that most people never will or even try to - a SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS that MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLES LIVES. I may not be able to party my ass off, or go on great trips, or spend money on useless things...but, one day I will and I will have earned it in every sense of the word. And when my friends start to complain about their jobs, the hours, their bosses, their coworkers, the "bitch work" they have to do - that's when I can smile and say, "Yeah, I don't have any of those problems. I love my job and what I do and I built a company from the ground up with no idea of where to start or how to do it. But I did it."

Nobody can or cannot make you a successful person. I walk into corporations and sit down with multimillionaires that are 40 years older than me and look at me like I'm some young kid who couldn't possibly help their business grow on the net. But, when I walk into a room, my head is held high, my shoulders are back, I'm walking tall and I've got a aura if you will, that has "respect" just beaming from it. And 9 times out of 10, I get that respect. Don't ever let anyone tell you you can't do something. There will always be people that doubt you - that's fine. Let them. But, that doesn't mean you won't succeed.

You've got to decide what is right for you. If you like to write, then do it!!!! Maybe it will turn into something else, like it did for me, and eventually become profitable. And there are plenty of 26 year olds still living at home with their parents. The economy sucks and unemployment is sky high so relax. Don't sweat the small things. if your parents don't necessarily approve it, it doesn't matter. Your parents aren't the ones making your future, you are. And in time, when you are successful, they'll realize that.

Put yourself on a path that you WANT to be on. Work hard to pave that road the rest of the way and NEVER tell yourself that you cannot do something. You can do anything goddamn thing that you want to. Have faith in yourself, get active in your community and quit being jealous of your friends. I guarantee in 5 years, they'll hate their jobs and you'll be happy as a lark doing what you love. NOW GO BE SUCCESSFUL!!!!

Perfectly said markfreedom. Before you can believe in a financial free lifestyle you have to believe in yourself. Keep moving and don't let anything hinder you if it's your true passion.

One of my college friends went to Japan to teach English for awhile. If I remember correctly there are a number of similar programs for various countries. It's not stunning IM success - but it may be an option worth looking into for your immediate goal of travel.

I know what you mean here... I'm horrible for putting things off. I have to continually write down and give a deadline for things I want to do.

If I don't put it down with reminders to have something done by a certain date and time then I won't get it done.

Print off this quote and put it somewhere where you can see it... I find it a great way to guilt me into getting to work and not procastinating...

mate........you need to keep your chin up, i wish i was 25!IM works.....why don't you start off on Fiverr? If your good at writing you can offer a 400 word article to start off.......also get google sniper by george brown, thats a solid ebook on how to start making affiliate commission and don't do nothing until you've made it work.

I'm 25 and I've been in internet marketing for about 2 years now. I started off with affiliate marketing, created my first website, put content, put Clickbank products, did SEO, reached the first page of Google for a popular product and Voila! I was "making money online". It wasn't much - I did about $100/month for the whole year from that One product only. But you know what my problem was? I didn't rinse and repeat. I got lured in by all these other ways to make money online. I didn't stick to what worked for me initially. DON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE. If you've already had success with one thing, stick to it, grow it and grow with it(education is as important)

Yes, you can succeed, but it takes Patience, Persistence, Hard sometimes boring work, Belief in yourself and your business. If you're not making money online and don't have any other income streams, instead of letting that pull you down, use it as a reason why "you have to succeed". You obviously have more time on your hand, use that time to work on your business, not sulking and negative thinking... if others can do it, so can you!
