      Hello Noel,

I happen to exactly agree with what you have written here including the order. Let's keep the faith and continue to work for our family and friends so that we could have joy and fun and eventually extend help to fund some charities.

      Hi Noel 100k

Spot on! I believe that Family and friends are the people to get motivation from in order to drive yourself towards success.

And you're not alone in thinking so! Here's an excerpt from the transcript of my interview with Bob Yeager a leading online marketer:

"I mean, look at your life, Nick, how many friends do you have and family members you have? You just love them, right? They don't have to ask you to love them, you just love them, right? Well, if that's how you treat your friends and family offline, then I have to ask people why they don't treat their friends and family online like that." ~ Bob Yeager

Every now and then when I feel frustrated, I go to the people that drives me the most which are the friends I have both online and offline and most of all my family.

      Always here to help

      Nick

I believe the best driver for success is something that very few of us has been able to attain.

It is the focus of society, yet very few of us actually understands how to achieve this higher state of mind.

That driver is the lack of happiness. The need for success to fuel happiness

Let's face it - if we were happy with what we have now, will we still be giving so much effort just to gain new grounds in IM? Will we be going against social norms, and strike out in the IM scene on our own instead of simply finding a conventional day job and slaving the hours away in some derelict corner of a corporate building?

Although it isn't a good thing, it isn't necessarily a bad thing as well - unhappiness is, paradoxically, driving us towards success.

Sure, unhappiness is by most the driving factor to seeking success. For those with hollow wallets there's an assumption that attaining success will bring along money hence happiness. I don't agree 100 percent that success leads to happiness otherwise some of the already rich and successful wouldn't be relying on pills and injections to conquer depression and other issues.

I would say fear. When I think if I run out of money one day. HOw I am going to pay my bills.? Fear keeps me going, working, fear of not being able to do the things I want.
I refuse to hit the point where i cannot afford anything. In some ways fear helps me to strive for a better life.

Just the thought of running my own business doing this full time everyday is what keeps me inspired and for some people that just isn't enough for me it is. Finding what truly keeps you going and building on that is what separates the people who are in for the long run and the people who are gonna leave in a month or so.

First and foremost, on a personal level...my wife and kids are my driving force.

While the ingredients may change, the recipe for success remains, and the heroes I admire most are those who stay driven with the focus to provide solutions to advance another's knowledge or who can dedicate themselves specifically driven to resolve another's ignorance or more politely put; lack of knowledge. The keys to posterity and preservation!

At times, I find it both challenging and equally frustrating to remain focused (and driven) with that goal in mind. Otherwise, I be doing sneaky re-bills and just going for the quick loot!

In the end, it's a combination of hope and faith I believe that our efforts will not go unrecognized or be in vain.

So, there are equal measures and a "balancing act" of empathy (sacrifice), and a selfishness to succeed.

Lately I have been asking myself this question. What drives me? What is my why?

My motivation, my why is helping other people do the same thing, being able to give my kids the things that I always wanted as a kid (vacations, disney world, australia), become comfortable and debt free.

I think my biggest why is to prove to myself I can do it. I was never a 9 - 5 person. I could get any job within my field and I knew it wasn't for me, I always knew I could do so much more and I am my biggest why. It's just a matter of me finding time to become successful especially with having 2 under 2.

I think that the one of the driving factors for me would be to prove the doubters wrong.

In life people will doubt you but you can't feed into them. All you have to do is keep on going and keep them in your head as the fuel to your fire.

And when you make it to your goal, don't boast about it.

Just keep on going...till you hit your next goal.

"Man works for an object, if we take away that object, we will make man inactive." This line is one of my favourite lines, and if you read it between the lines, it will definitely say it to our face that you have to have a reason why you exist and why do you have to work? We don't have to work just to earn money; we work because we have a mission or objective to achieve.
For me, what drives me is my family, my plans and my dreams. To move closer to my dreams, I have to work for it, be persistent about and at the same time, enjoy while going for it.
And also, for people who are trying to question my decisions in life and would have the guts to say that what I do was wrong. It's not to prove a point, but to let them know that my decisions in life are not the so-called wrong decisions that I made.
Keep moving forward and be positive always.

    This is a good question.

For me I personally hate the world of "normal" work.

There seems to be this notion that we should all be grateful for our jobs ( which is being pushed by the media and newspapers during economic downturn), when the reality is most 9-5 type jobs involve selling the most precious commodity you have....your time.

Your time is something you can never get back.

It is worse during the current recession as on one hand they are firing people and then using the fear of job loss to make the remaining staff work twice as hard.

Bit of a ridiculous system really!

I also love being the idea of being able to work from anywhere!

    I have three kids.

There is a burning desire within me to steer them on the right path.

To teach them how to be massively successful, and use their success to be a channel of blessings unto others.

I refuse to be a dad that doesn't walk the walk!

Every dad wants their kids to succeed and offers advice on how to do so. But in most cases the kids at some point will stop following your advice and start following your example.

This motivates me more than anything else!

When I was 18 years old, I worked as an assistant at a nice, friendly office. The head of the department I worked for had been there for decades and it was clear he truly loved his job.

Toward the end of that job, the office became involved in some "budget updates." The higher-ups wouldn't even pay for the head of the department to use a company cell phone anymore. They told him to just use a pager.

After I left that job to pursue a different opportunity, I heard that the department had been downsized. I went to visit the head of the department at his new workstation. It was literally the size of a walk-in closet.

Eventually, his whole department was eliminated, and he was fired. They say he cried as he was packing his stuff up.

That mental image is what drives me.

What drives me is the idea that, if I work hard, I will succeed. What drives me is the thought that, as long as I stay willing to adapt, I can exercise control over my future.

When I cry, I want it to be because I f'd up, not because someone else f'd me over.

What drives me? My children especially my daughter. That may sound strange to say but it is true. I grew up very poor so I started working very young and I never wanted my daughter to have to go through some of the experiences that I went through. When I look at her, I remember that everything I do, I do it to provide a better life for her. Of course for my son as well but not in the same way. For him, I know he will go great things but for her there are different challenges that he won't experience. There are different things going on in the world that won't affect him in the same way.

She is my inspiration and my driving force, even behind my weight loss. Now I know everyone says you should do it for you but for me, my husband loves me the way I am and I have learned to accept that. For her, I want her to know that no matter what road you end up on you can always make a decision to change and you can always reach your goals no matter how unattainable they may seem to you at the time.

So in essence, she is my driving force and my inspiration.

  • I've read this book, Pitch Like A Girl (Ronna Lichtenberg), and picked from there an effective way to know what you want. The method is not novel but for me it works.

What Lichtenberg suggests is a simple visualization of imagining what would be your perfect workday. You meditate your ideal workday - from what time you want start your day (as compared to when you should be working) to what you are doing. Lichtenberg recommends a sensual meditation, that is, being contemplative of every little details of your workday, even the tiniest things like how your coffee tastes.

The success of this method depends on the success of the visualization, that is, if you have really visualized how your ideal workday would be like. Why? Simply because you must be motivated to achieve this ideal, if not almost perfect situation. And because you know how good that situation feels, you are inspired to work hard until your every working day is that ideal workday.

And personally the visualization suggested by Lichtenberg works. And what motivates me is to finally be sipping coffee after a stimulating brainstorming session with my creative team as I watch the sun set in one of our modern (think Facebook offices) collaboration areas.

I agree with you. Money gives freedom to all of us and our families.

As for me, as a young lady, I love to wear fashion dresses and beautiful jewelery. And it also drives me to keep going on! Maybe it's rather mercantile but what can I do with myself?)

    What drives you....

The exact moment where I achieve my dreams. It's an incomparable feeling. I don't want to sound cliche but it's like I feel weightless and complete. I accomplished something I thought in the beginning was out of reach. I challenged my imagination to make something tangible. It's no longer in my head, it's real. It happened only twice in my life and currently I've been fighting for the last couple of years to get to back to that moment of true bliss.

My name drives me. My passion for becoming something. Achieving my dreams. Knowing that I made it. The money yes that is great and one way to measure how well your doing. But more so its the emotional and metal knowing that I am free. I'm safe, financially secure.

I want to first know that I am taken care of and then my family is safe and along the way I will help as many people as I can. I want a nice life of course with luxury and extravagance but I want success so much more than showing off and blowing money. I want to be safe and free to experience everything I dream when I want with who I want.

So freedom and security mixed with pride.

I know people that have a passion for something, but they lack the drive to accomplish anything. I also know people that have drive, but no passion. I know people who are driven by family, money, success, greed, popularity, and excitement, but I've been around long enough to see that these things don't last.

How about just doing something because it's right, it's necessary, it's important for you and others, it's fulfilling and it allows you to remain content?

In most cases, I do because I must. But what I do allows me to feel comfortable with myself. My drive and passion is developed from that sense of being, which allows me to get what I need, and not what I think I must have.

What drives me are the ever looming clouds of perdition waiting in the horizon. I, alone, stand between that darkness that will soon overcome those who take no heed of it.

    Or in short, pizza.

For there was never a moment, when pizza has not crossed the thoughts of mortal men such as I.

Pizza, in all its glory, in all its failings and in all its power drives men to do what they dare not do. To seek out that which is unfindable. To grasp that which is ungraspable.

    That's it.
No better things than watching them happy because we can give them the best that they can get.
Almost all things need money today, but happiness of our family can't be bought with money, but money will give us chance and time to play and to do what we like to do with our family.

I'm not an online guru but I am very succrssful at my career.

What used to drive me was being the best at something. This led to perfect GPAs and being highly sought out in my career.

Then it was money. I would have goals set and then when I surpassed that one, set another one higher.

Then came burnout the first time. I quickly recovered from that and went forward and then burnout and trauma from something happening to one of my kids. no, he didn't die.

I took a couple months off and then jumped right back in to a new gig and was ok for 6 months and shortly after my contract was renewed, i fell apart again. Then another gig came along the first of the year where it was the highest I have ever been paid and turns out the assignment was very very basic. They just wanted the box ticked of having a consultant in there.

So there i was sitting in my office with a view of the river and I did not care about any of it anymore. I struggled to show up each day something that never happened to me. I barely finished the assignment.

I got the reputation for being genius but extremely quirky. Not good.

It has been a couple months since that gig ended and I have been looking for a new one but my heart isn't in this anymore.

I really don't think I have it in me to put on a suit and go to an office any more.

I have been working through tons of software tutorials keeping busy and working on an online business idea and I am excited about it but I still don't have that fire I used to have. I would love to get that back.

It's what I can do with money that drives me.

Growing up not being able to have the other things kids
had in my class was kind of tough.

I always wondered why my mother couldn't afford things
like power ranger action figure the morphed etc. (this was in preschool lol)

Being laid off for over a year and a half wondering how I was going
to get things paid really humbled me.

It's a blessing for me to be able to apart of a business like this and to
meet like minded people at the same time.

When I do get where I want to be financially I want to purchase my
mom a house and a newer car. I want to walk into my mother job and
be able to hand her a check and say,"Mom you do not have to work
    another day in your life!"

I want to take my 2 girls and my wife on a shopping spree to show them
how much I appreciate them for standing by me and believing in my dream
    to become an online entrepreneur.

For me it is what I can do with money. I do not chase the dollar out of greed
but for stability, security, to save up for my baby girls future, and to be able
    to surprise others with gifts.

    That is what drives me!

We're all here for one overarching reason: to earn more money and obtain financial freedom.

I'm here for such a reason, as all of us are, but I'm also here to PROVIDE something genuine for the other Warriors that I meet on the road to wealth. I love feeling motivated, positive, and so I've become something of an authority on the subject of life coaching and personal motivation with thousands of hours of listening, reading, and studying, so that I could GIVE what I've learned to others that they may become successful in their own endeavors as well.

So what drives me? The desire to help others maintain their drive, their enthusiasm, and their focus. In doing so, I'll make a handsome living, and in helping you all as much as I possibly can, I hope that I can help you achieve the same.

I'm 100% convinced that the way out of our global economic mess is by teaching millions of entrepreneurs to take control of their own lives and finances. As a result, they are able to help their own family, friends, and communities.

These are the people who will reshape our societies, and who will lead us over the next 50-100 years. It is my goal to help as many of them as I possibly can.

    That is what drives me.

My ultimate drive is to build a great future for my kids and family. But I think the passion and desite to do something that you love everyday is the biggest driver in life. Because if you love it, you will succeed, you will have the energy to keep doing it, the passion to keep it alive. Ultimately if you are happy everyone around you is happy because they got off on your buzz. The money comes with it all after trial, error and patience.

Success is not to be someone else,
but by making yourself a role model to everyone else.

Success is not just academic stability,
it's the mandate to succeed in every good ability.

Success is not just getting there first,
it's sometimes needed to carry the rest.

    Success isn't "i know and you don't",
neither is it "you know and i don't".
It always says ' what can we learn from each other ',
or ' lets strive to be the best together '.

Whether money buys happiness is still a matter of some debate. Some studies have shown higher incomes don't result in much more happiness once basic needs are met. Others have shown the rich are significantly happier than the poor.

What does contribute to happiness? Some researchers have found the biggest factors are freedom and autonomy -- the ability to control one's own life. World Bank economist Paolo Verme determined that a sense of freedom and control "is by far the most significant predictor of life satisfaction," while a review of data from 63 countries found that "freedom and personal autonomy are more important to people's well-being than money," according to a study published by the American Psychological Association.

Money can certainly buy many forms of freedom. The very rich can free themselves from a lot of annoyances and hazards, while maintaining a great deal of control over their lives.

      What do you think?

Basically what drives me is my why.

In the beginning, it was getting enough money to quit my day job. Now it's more building passive income streams so that i get freedom

    Cheers,

Freedom and controlling your own life.
    Not being dependent on anyone.
Being able to leave the live you want.
    Making your dreams a reality.

But all of this takes money, so that's basically what gives me the ability to do all of this. But it's not money that drives me, it's the sheer will to reach my dreams and goals that makes me get up in the morning!
