Awesome SELF HELP books

Please feel free to contribute and add to the list of the best self help books that is a MUST read for anyone trying to succeed in this industry.

I'll start out with the common ones like RICH DAD POOR DAD and THINK AND GROW RICH. If you have heard about them or read them, they are almost REQUIRED to really have huge success.

One of my top favorites is a book called PERSUASION. It has a great deal to do with how to talk to people and how to get them to see things your way. Its a really awesome book, I think it would be in my top 3.

Along with FAILING FORWARD, which is a wonderful book that will change your perspective of failure. Failure is actually a great thing if you use it to its full potential. With every failure is a hidden opportunity to use it to succeed better than ever before. People like to quit IM after failing to earn any money after only a few weeks or months. Let me tell you, I started in the IM field 3 years ago. The first YEAR AND A HALF, I didnt make ONE RED CENT. It was very frustrating but i never ONCE thought about quitting, thanks mostly to this book. So this book pretty much saved my life, If I would have quit I would be working at a job I hate. Thanks to not quitting even after nearly two years, I am now able to enjoy full time income in my own home and spend LOADS of time with my daughter. I would say this is my number 1 favorite book.

ANY ADDITIONS?

I really like Stephen R. Coveys "7 habits of highly effective people", but what have made the most difference to me are some of Anthony Robbins's audio courses.

I find that making money draws on a lot of different skills and so I've got a diverse list:

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion - Robert C.
    Unlimited Power - Anthony Robbins
User's Manual for the Brain - Michael Hall
    The Other 8 Hours
I Will Teach You To Be Rich - Ramit Sethi

Nice sampling of books that I found really made a difference. I don't so much focus on making lots of money, I focus on perseverance and finding ways to gain instant motivation. Money will come

I love Suze Orman... and her book "The Courage to Be Rich" is such a modern and refreshing look at how to become emotionally, spiritually and financially wealthy. The book really looks into the psychological blocks that most people have regarding wealth and enables you to break down those walls. Not only that, but it goes even deeper into repairing problems that most American's have.. such as credit card debt, mortgages, etc. Also, it shows you how to successfully invest in IRA, bonds and much more.

This is one is a must - To Be Or Not To Be Intimidated - By Robert Ringer

It was originally called "Winning Through Intimidation" but as you can imagine the publishers changed the title and he rewrote bits of it.

Nevertheless, this will open your eyes to reality - your life will change forever!

The Monk who sold his Ferrari. A book that will tell you how to lead life rather then only running after money. I also love to have money but leading a satisfactory life with a bit of charity is a must for everyone, and that is what the book taught me.

I never liked Rich Dad,Poor Dad . Kiyosaki's wealth seems to have come only as a result of selling books and audio presentations about topics he has not personally succeeded in.

He gives several types of bad advice in the book:
    • Dangerous advice
    • "If you're gonna go broke, go broke big"

    • Law-breaking advice
    • Advocates committing a felony: have rich friends for trading stock based on non-public inside information, he says "That's what friends are for."
    • Recommends tax fraud by deducting vacations and health club dues
    • Brags about using a partner weasel clause in which his cat is his partner

    • I'm not the only critic
    • Google this:"Rich Men, Poor Advice"
    • Google this: "Karma Chameleon"
    A book I prefer is

Just Listen: Discover the Secret to Getting Through to Absolutely Anyone by Mark Goulston M.D.
