I am enjoying it a lot! Lately the tinyiest small bit of success can happen and it gives me a nudge to press on

I personally know that my truth is to follow my bliss and all else will come...keep my feet on the ground & my head in the clouds, meaning to dream big and act in alignment with my dreams...I subscribe to the simple formula of Wallace Wattles, who basically sums up his teachings by saying your riches (and health & greatness) always come in exact proportion to how clear your vision of what you want is, how definite your commitment is to bring it about, how strong your faith is that life is good to you and what you want wants YOU just as much and thus IS coming to you and how genuinely you feel deep gratitude for this fact, as if what you ask for was already your physical possession...

I also firmly believe that there are truly multiple universes, many of which we can see, always looking at a different one as we change our thoughts, meaning whether you think you're a conscious creator, or a separate self trying to make things happen, you are RIGHT. We have many dimensions to us and can choose at any point which one we identify with and thus ARE...

Its good to develop an attitude of seeing work as something to be loved and enjoyed rather some kind of punishment or duty to be endured.I relive you can only be truly successful by loving and enjoying what you do no matter how great or small it is . you have to love your work and then you will see success.

Yeah! enjoying your work gives you guaranteed success. However, as human beings we just need to stay focus and be reassured of staying focus. This is where inspirational books become your companion. Sometimes, a sports star needs to be cheered up. He needs to be told that he is doing great and even should be rewarded. When you reward a sports star this way he then gets to enjoy job even more. This is where inspirational or motivational books come to play a big role. You soon find out that inspirational books alert you to people who have had tremendous success in any endeavour you undertake. Suppose you wanted to go to the moon, and fine you know you enjoy doing so; but you are not so sure what happens when you eventually get there. Inspirational books will become your good guide here as they will let you know that people have been to the moon before you, and that you too can do so.

I believe , if we work on our interest , we dont feel like even working for a minute , i say from my own experience.

in a sense what gauravthegeek says is true, but the self-improvement industry is a lot like the weight loss industry: people spending hundreds of dollars to find a solution that they already know but are reluctant to implement because they can't believe that life is really THAT simple (or maybe because learning a new good habit is hard).

If you enjoy work, then it really isn't work is it? At that point its a hobby lol. I get the point that you are making though, I'd just rephrase it as this:

"Success will come as soon as you can monetize your favorite hobby."

I hope that persistence hasn't been forgotten. I feel its a necessary pillar for success. I have been maintaining as much discipline as possible on myself to keep trying. There is alot stacked against me, but I will not give up on my dream of living the true IM lifestyle.

I started out with thinking, work is burden! Then I came across some similar saying and trust me, the moment I started enjoying my work, I even started performing better and earning more!

Enjoying the work is very important....once you enjoy what you do you would never get bored with that and would never feel tired.......that will take you ahead of others, will give you an edge to succeed. Setting small targets and achieving them can be a good strategy to succeed.

I agree with you, man. When you enjoy something, you'd naturally want to do it again and again. Especially if it puts food on your table.

Although enjoying your work is a really great thing it certainly does not guarantee success at it. In fact if part of your success is measured in dollar amounts - which it should be seeing as we are trying to run a business- doing what you love to do because you love it can actually backfire badly.

If you are loving what you are doing so much that you forsake the business end of the deal then it won't take long before one of three things happens.

You either get bailed out financially by someone, you have to quit your business that you love and get a 'real' job, or you have to work your arse off so hard that the job that you 'loved' to do is no longer a choice, but a chore.

Sorry, but people get caught up in the airy fairy stuff - 'do what you love to do and the world will bow before you, the heavens will smile and the road will be paved with bliss'

Loving the work that you do is just a massive bonus that helps make life a whole lot easier.

Now believing in yourself and the work that you do .... that is a whole different story

I agree with you . You dont wake up one day and find yourself succeeding just from nowhere. It take some steps for you to succeed in life. Dont give up have patience.

Tis an interesting thread indeed! Doing the things that keeps you motivated can help you have great outputs.

Even when things seem dire at work .. there is always a positive point to be found ...

...even if it's just showing gratitude for the flowers outside the window ...

...or the smile that a colleague gives you in the corridor .. or even that you are one of the lucky people that is walking around with your health, and not lying in a hospital bed somewhere wishing for the freedom to be able to walk freely to the shops..

...Gratitude is the key and there is always something to be grateful for.. no matter how bad work feels sometimes

it is impossible to succeed without work and very difficult to work without enjoyment. so working and enjoying it makes is easier to accomplish whatever tasks are necessary for success

I would just go with and iron will and a silver lining . The rest are details .

Do work from which you get satisfaction. Because in it get enjoyment and you love to do it. You do that work by heart and with passion. That work done perfectly with out any mistakes. If you do not like any work to do and you have to do by compulsory then you have pressure and stressed. You lost your mind and do work with full of mistakes and unwillingly.

Go the extra mile every time and always over deliver. You posts will be shared virally on the social networks and your sites will do well in Google because people will stay on the page longer.

Change your focus from "how can I sell this" to "how can I make my site visitorstrue fans" . . .

As a matter of a fact, this is what everybody should do and want to do. But in reality this is impossible, even if a person loves drawing, when they start doing it as work, it will become one of those boring "things" you have to do.
Everyone should Strive to enjoy their work, and success will be guaranteed.

I think that when you accept the unknown journey you have in front of you and accept the fear of the unknown, then half of the problem disappears as thin air.

Maybe I should try this. I always try to find work that makes the most money even though I don't enjoy much of it. Probably the reason why I fail most of the time.

success is instant, and inherent. just being YOU, i success and purpose for/in being. you cannot mess up "doing you", you are doing you perfectly. thus, we all do what we love already. money is not success, it is money-period. please know too i have made more than most imagine from being a broke bartender too. when you love what you do, if you monetize that activity, you can do more and aquire more if you are good with your finances. it truly is not what you make, but what you do with what you make. there are some great youtube videos by dr. john demartini showing how to own your wealth you have now to attract more. he has a step by step guide to self-mastery and money.

This is extremely true. You just have to enjoy your work because as you go along you will be able to experience the enjoyment when you reach success in your life. It means you have to face every single piece of problems and shortcomings that you have because this may possibly be a stepping stone to your own success!

When you enjoy what you're doing then everything flows effortlessly. You can work 12h a day and feel totally freaking amazing and have this feeling of great accomplishment. That's what moving me every day to do the tasks I need to do to get the results I want to get. Enjoying your work is one of my main priorities.

Everyone has expressed this so very well, it is hard to add a thing, other than perhaps this - follow your heart and your mind will follow. When you do what you enjoy you have endless energy and motivation galore. When you can follow your dream and the hopes of building a better life, what more motiviation does it take, other than staying focused and on track?

I agree that you must enjoy your work before you can become successful. One way that I like to think about things is breaking big goals into smaller ones, and even breaking those down to even smaller goals. That way you are always accomplishing a goal...it helps to keep me motivated. It really helps to think about the income you want to earn in this way. If you want to earn 1 million dollars a year it is not going to happen over night. You can't go from 40 grand a year to 1 million (usually) in 1 year. But if you think to yourself "I want to double my income this year," that is more realistic. Then you double the next year, then the next...and before you know it your a millionaire. You have to earn 100 grand before you can earn a million, so focus on the first thing you need to do to reach that end goal. Hope this way of thinking helps somebody, I know it really helped me when I learned it.

I think books are sometimes vital to your success. I've seen plenty of successful marketers refer to books they've read in videos which helped them with their online business. I've even done so myself. However, I definitely agree with your first statement. It reminds me of a quote by Earl Nightingale that goes like this: "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal."-- Profound words by a profound man...

However, most people need the extra kick up the butt so that they understand how to convert that DESIRE into practical ACTION and take full advantage of it. That extra advantage can make all the difference.

I didn't ever imagine that my thread will become a host to the great opinions of you all! I love IM, and never do I get tired with it. That's the reason I am getting fast success at it. Luck has also been a factor in my success, but that has always come after my efforts. I always keep thinking about how to get better. I never compete with others but with myself. A keen desire to become better and better really does wonders and head you onto a unique path of extraordinary success.

All work with no play will knock you out. Managing ones work by having an active social life can give you positive results.

Just stay focused on your goals and take at least one action per day and you are very much likely to succeed. Success is a journey that can be mastered if you develop the right set of success traits.

I totally agree. If you're enjoying your work, you won't even feel like you're really working 'coz it's just like a hobby that you are fond of. And success indeed is guaranteed if you really like what you're doing.

First of all what is the definition of your success? It can mean many things.

From your 1st answer, you can discover if success is guaranteed.

If success is something you have to go after, it's not guaranteed. Like a World Tennis player. To him, winning the championship is success. But he is not guaranteed to have it even after years of practice.

If success to you is just being you, like what drmfitz had mentioned, then you are guarantee success.

I agree with you gaurav although others aren't. I believe that if you don't like and enjoy your work, you wouldn't get and succeed on what you aim.

Yes I do enjoy my work here, every single day. Without working everyday to become successful, I could have left money on the table. We should be happy working not only for money or profits, but also to build good client relationships as well.

My dad always told me to do what you love. If you don't love your job, your gonna wake up every day and not be happy to get out of bed

I completely agree. There is no better way of succeeding than enjoying what you're doing. Enjoyment causes you to care about what you do and when you care you try harder and trying harder results in progress, then later success.

This is a vital concept! We EARN value in our lives and when we are giving a service or contributing positively our rewards will be guaranteed! Focus on the service with enthusiasm, belief and positive expectation and they will come through in abundance!

Reading books is one of the best thing that you can give to your brain... mate!

We have so many successful people who describe their path in the books and they share with us. If you start from the ancient time, Socrates and finish with the modern - Albert Einstein and Nikola Tesla, you will see that because of these people the world is changed forever!

Hmm I wouldn't say that those books are not needed, because books are like mentors. I would highly encourage reading books to avoid falling down unnecessary pitfalls. Our time must be managed correctly.

Of course, you don't need inspirational books if you have enough grit and inspiration inside you. However, there are some hardships and obstacles that seem extremely difficult to overcome. There are moments that are far from being enjoyable. I love what I do, have a deep desire to learn, I enjoy most, but not every moment of my work. I enjoy the outcomes, the results but that costs hard work that isn't always enjoyable.

Well, I do agree with the OP however it is not a given that this translates into making money.
