Build a team ? I can't afford to hire anybody ...

I can't afford to hire anyone .That has been my biggest excuse why i couldn't big a team . Where is the money to pay staff . I make but making enough from internet to get by .I can't pay any staff right now . But little did i know that is why I never moved to 6 figures or 7 figures like some of my friends did

You see everyone has strengths and weakness . Nobody is good at every thing all round.You would be really good at something and really crap at other things . For instance , I am crap when it comes to technical stuff or programming , If i try to learn it myself not only will i waste so much time , i would never be as good as someone who has sincere self-interest in programming or handling technical things.

If you are like most marketers including myself , you are trying to do everything yourself .

You are the guy doing the sales letter , doing the marketing research ,dealing with consumer service , product fulfilment, creating products , driving traffic, building a list ,handling the legal stuff , business building ,creating profit systems , doing finance , doing affilate marketing , writing copy ,doing graphics, handling technical problems , programming ,book keeping, recruiting affiliates and doing programming and on and on

If you are doing your business this way . You would quickily burn out . No matter how good you are at handling stuff ,

the fact is that it is just too much for one person alone to handle. You need help . What good is creating wealth if you kill yourself in the process

Be the person putting the teams together . For instance , if you are building a house , you want to be the guy who create the plans for the house and gets the best team to build your house fast . You want to hire the expertise of plumbers , construction workers , electrician e.tc.c

You do not want to do the carpentry yourself , you don't want to do the plumbing especially when you do not have a clue about it . You do this so that the house gets built without you . If you do this , you can build many houses you can sell faster than you can create on your own

In the same way , if you are buidling a business , you want to set the plans up and hire the best people . Don't try to learn copyrighting yourself,
programming yourself e.t.c you want to hire their expertise so that they provide a quick professional service and help you build many more businesses than you can yourself the experts you hire make up your organisation or institution . Do you have an organisation structure or are you your entire organisation ??

Every organisation has a CEO whose job is to maintain the vision of the company , discover business development opprtunities ,

organise every part of the business , look for ways to increase profits

You are the CEO of your company . If you don't maintain the vison of your company , who is going to do that ?

If you don't co-ordinate every part of the business to work , how can you reach company targets ?

Your job is to work ON the business NOT in the business . once you set up the system and you have a business model that works then it is

time to step out of your business and start working on the business not in the business .Once you your systems are set up , you can train people to run the day to day opeartions of your system so that you focus on business growth . your business should run without you .

You need to build an institution or an organisation that helps you get the work done and create results faster than you could do yourself.

Leverage other experts time , expertise and energy

It is much smarter to just work on your strength alone while you outsource the rest to the bettter skilled people than yourself.

Let other people do the work for you . This is just smarter . Give up the idea that you have to do it all yourself and keep all of the profits .

Share the profits and make way more with a strong team .

Which is better : 100 % of $12,000 a year or 35% of $1.6 million in a year ($560,000). You are right . $560,000 beats $12,000 any day .

They would do the work much faster and much better than you can ever do alone .They would save you time and help you achieve results faster


Learn to leverage other people strengths . Let others do the work you hate while you focus on what you do best You need a team .

You need a team that have serious strengths at the skillset you require . A team multiplies your effectiveness .

    That is something I learned fast. I love to write. I write content for tons of people and then I turn around and use that money to pay my VA who does backlinking and data entry. I buy my graphics, I pay for help designing my websites... if I have a lot of clients to write for I even outsource content for my own websites so I can focus on my clients.

    If I wasn't outsourcing, my only income would be my writing. While I do make a nice bit from that, I pay all of my workers with money to spare from my other ventures, which means I can spend that extra money to hire more people and expand. You can only do so much in a day!

    The way I saw it... I could spend 2 weeks working on getting my site up and running, or I could hire people and get it done in a matter of days and use all of my time to write. I'm glad I made the decision I did.

    The key is to start small to start if you can't afford to hire. Come up with a list of things that need to get done and outsource things that you know will take forever or you are no good at. Once you have more money coming in, look at the next thing you can outsource.

    But what do you guys do when the work is overloaded and you have submit work in given time frame.. Like for example you have 20 items to submit by tommorrow for one client and another have 10, you need 10hours to submit 20 items and another 5hours to submit 10items(example), how would you manage??

      Honestly, I don't have that issue anymore. It happened a few times when I first started but I've learned a lot more about what I can do and how long it will take.

      What I did for my articles was apologize for overbooking and offer them a free article for the trouble. I still do this if something comes up like the power going out or I end up having to do unexpected traveling and it makes my orders late.

      If you do need to outsource quickly you can post an ad up on on oDesk and explain how quickly the work needs to get done.

  • When done with capable people, outsourcing is one of the most effective ways of growing a business.

    I agree with previous comments that we need to play to our strengths. However, it becomes costly (time and money) when the persons to whom you are outsourcing require very detailed information in order to get the job done and work has to be revised. When you find capable people for your team, you need to treasure them.

      Making more money is about working 24 hours and killing yourself , you make more money when you apply leverage in your business . Leverage is borrowing internet marketing celebrity to endorse your product , leverage is using automation in your business , leverage is using the power of the media to get to millions of people , leverage is using other people strengths to reach your goals ,leverage is getting people in your industry to work for you for almost nothing ...     I agree that at a certain point a team is needed, but that comes when your business is really starting to take off. At the beginning, learning as much as you can is key so later on you can tell what is high quality and what is crap. Also, there are people around that can actually do it all. These people thrive when there is a ton of crap to do, and not a lot of time to do it. I myself can be that person from time to time, and I know a group of friends who are the same way. Never underestimate what a person is capable of.
