Morning Rituals, movitaviton?

Howdy, just wondering do any of you guys have a personal morning ritual or something motivating that you do in the morning which impacts the rest of your day positively (i.e. you end up taking massive action) For instance, something like Tony Robbins Hour of Power. Which he recommends to do each day.

Thanks,
Chini

When I decided to try IM I sat down and wrote down a list of reasons I want to succeed. This includes things like:

-I want to get a house with more room for my kitties to run around.
-I want to show my mom I can be successful even though I can't work a traditional job.
-I want to be able to buy my husband the things he wants after his years of sacrifices to make sure I have everything I ask for.
-I want to be a stay at home mom.

It goes on... about 15 different things. I have them up by my computer and I also have them up in my bathroom. I read through the list every morning while I brush my teeth.

If I ever feel down and negative, I have my last bank statement from before I started IM where I was $-200 and then look at my bank account and Paypal now. Sure I don't have tens of thousands of dollars, but there is actually money there.

I try to fill my work area with positive messages. I leave myself little notes and I have pictures up to remind me of why I do all of this.

Though, it has been a while since I've felt too negative... I keep getting the happy surprise of seeing my name mentioned in a random WF post... about my writing service or advice I gave and it reminds me that I'm helping myself while helping others and it is very rewarding.

I always check the night before to see what my next day will be and usually there is at least one thing I'm really looking forward to doing. Then I might schedule in a tough task first thing in the morning while I'm still relatively fresh. This combo works for me to get me excited about each and every day.

My morning ritual is just to wake up and walk the dog. Walk down stairs, grab her leash, and I've got a dog dragging me (half asleep) towards the front door. By the time I'm finished doing that I'm wide awake and ready to get to work online.

yes! I used to struggle with motivation and staying power. But I heard about several people not starting their day with work, but rather focusing on themselves for a set period of time every day.

I thought about what I missed in my life since getting started. well, I tend to get kinda obsessed about work, but I noticed the harder I tried without ever having 'me' time, the less I managed to accomplish. I would get burnt out which de-motivated me.

When I made the change to take time for myself first thing in the morning, everything started working better. Balance is the key to everything.

My morning routine: wash face with really cold water (I shower at night), then come downstairs, grab 1-2 bottles of water, and have something fruity in the morning. usually it is a fresh fruit smoothie cause it is cold, refreshing, and gives me good energy and keeps me focused for the rest of the day. I take everything outside. I just sit there drinking my smoothie, and water. I focus not on the work I have to do, but fresh air, the colors I see, the sounds and smells of outdoors. Usually this is about 30-40 minutes.

Then, I come inside, and work. I have found this is more motivating than just getting right in front of the computer first thing. my head is super clear, I work more intelligently and use my time better because I feel better. This allows me to accomplish more in 6-8 hours than I used to in 10-14 hour days when I did not have any mental time off. I also take about 1/2 hour somewhere in the middle and go watch something or put on music (for me it is jazz or soundscapes) and just veg.

It is one of the best decisions I have ever made. take 'me' time to clear myself mentally and fill up with some goodness !

hope this helps you find something that motivates you. =)

I usually starts my day with an exercise to keep the circulation of my blood and develops cardio-vascular and stamina. A 15 - 20 minutes of jogging and 10 - 15 minutes of stretching will do every morning. After a time to keep myself sweaty, a nice hot breakfast will do the trick. I usually gets hungry after almost an hour of exercise, and that I usually looks for something to eat.
And also, even a 5 - 10 minutes of meditation will also helps starts my day great since my exercise is not only for my physical being, but also my inner being.

For me is doing Tony Robbins Morning / Evening Question,

    Basically you ask yourself

    1. What Am I Happy about in my life right now?

1a. What about that makes me happy?

1b. How does that make me feel?

    2. What Am I Excited about in my life right now?

2a. What about that makes me excited?

2b. How does that make me feel?

    3. What AM I Proud about in my life right now?

3a. What about that makes me Proud?

3b. How does that make me feel?

    4. What AM I Grateful about in my life right now?

4a. What about that makes me grateful?

4b. How does that make me feel?

    5. What AM I Enjoying most in my life right now?

5a. What about that makes me enjoying?

5b. How does that make me feel?

    6. What AM I Committed to in my life right now?

6a. What about that makes me committed?

6b. How does that make me feel?

    7. Who Do I Love? Who Loves me?

7a. What about that makes me loving?

7b. How does that makes me feel?

You have to answer them after you wake up or before you go to sleep. This method helps me put my life into perspective and helps me focus on the great things about me and everything around me. Try it, it works.

And i try to put in a 30 min work out as well to keep myself motivated.

    Hope this helps you guys.

I actually tried anthony robbins for a while and discovered that it's not really my cup of tea.

I think the key is to really experiment to discover what works best for you.

I try to meditate every morning or read something inspiring.

Sometimes I start with cleaning up my office then a short meditation and then I start.
I really feel that it helps me re-connect with myself and I am more in tune and less scattered.

What pushed me to do morning success rituals was Wake Up Productive Eben Pagan's training. Truly amazing!

Over the year of refining my morning ritual I must say I doubled or even tripled my productivity. PRetty insane.

But what lately like quadrupled my productivity & motivation was drinking 1 liter of green vegetable juice every day. Omg, you have so much energy you don't know what to do with it. You don't need motivation at this point. You NEED to do something constructive. No more pushing yourself, it just flows through you.

Dead astronaut thats cool I'm a wake up productive guy also

And ysckyler thanks for the tony Robbins recommendations Gratitude is an incredibly powerful energy for attracting and focussing

1.I get up in the morning and drink water to replenish my dehydrated body
2.Then I go to the bathroom and clean my mouth with food grade hydrogen peroxide and a tooth brush,
      3. Get cleaned up as I feel of all the things I'm grateful for
      4. Juice a fresh glass of fruit juice and spirulina, Krill oil and probiotics
      5. Then I exercise or stretch or both
      6. Then I head to the office and meditate for 20 minutes or so and reconnect with the God (power center) within me. I give appreciation that I have incredible power to create with courage, direction and action. "Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aide" "The universe likes speed" so act promptly as I can.
      7. Now that I have my power enabled I read stories of successful people for 30 minutes. or success related material. This helps me to realize how to live with a purpose for my personal fulfillment (success).
      8. My mojo is in place so I read my list of things to do today and create a 3x5 index card of the 6 or 7 best things I could do to day that would get me closer to attaining my dreams.
      9. Get going on accomplishing them for myself, my family, and anyone noticing

"There are no rules. You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn
      by doing." SIr Richard Branson

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are created by God to live fruitfully, achieve, expand and grow. Knowledge without taking action leads to DISPAIR AND APATHY (absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement. lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting).

The Action is where the payoff is. We have to challenge ourselves, grow and expand to release our inner burning desires. Success is not a doing process; Success is a becoming process. Success is something you attract by the person you become."

As we let our own light shine by not subordinating to others but proceeding from the inner God power, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

"If you want to have more... you have to BECOME more. Success is not a doing process; it is a becoming process. What you do, what you pursue, will elude you--it can be like chasing butterflies. Success is something you attract by the person you become."

I also thought Eben Pagans wake up productive had some really interesting insights and was what introduced me to the idea of morning rituals.

The one thing that I always do first thing is go for a run around the harbour. If I don't go running I really notice it for the rest of the day and feel kind of antsy.

I think its one of the best things about developing a positive habit is that once it is engrained its actually harder to not do it than do it.

Don’t hit snooze/Drink a pint of water first thing in the morning/Make yourself a blend of fruits that excite you/Go out and take in the sunlight/Spend time in silence/Be grateful for what you have/Brush your tongue/Go for a walk. Or hop on the treadmill for 30 minutes/Drink green tea. Instead of coffee, have a cup of green tea. Boosts your energy, provides antioxidants and has been promoted as a great natural healthy option/Journal. A list of rituals without journaling in the morning isn’t complete.

I like to spice it up and keep it different.

I will always at least check my e-mails and accounts from the overnight.

That's what is great about IM, works around the clock for you. =)

But I'll go to the gym 2 days a week in the mornings and feel fantastic the rest of the day.

Or I'll hit the brew button on my Keurig and get right to it! Then an hour or two after getting some tasks done, I'll take a breather and read the paper for 10-15 minutes.

If I am having a bad day, there are a few go to videos that put me back in the zone and help me focus....well that and reading this section of the Warrior Forum. It's been a great help for sure.

    Thanks for sharing everyone.

    Hey Chini!

Every morning I roll out of bed and do 19 push-ups and 19 reps of any ab exercise. Then fix my bed, pray, and get ready for the day.

This has resulted in me hitting more daily goals and staying on task. Not sure why this is the case but when I didn't fix my bed or start like this, I was a lazy bum!

    Hope this helps!

To brighten up my day and start working...

I usually think of how many people out there who still needs knowledge, testimonies to push them to "get up" and survive -- THEN I see my day as God's gift to me saying..."Mary, You have a lot of things to do....Let's start workin' now.."

Meditation is best practice to do in the morning time. That makes your full day happy and enjoy-full even more free from tension.

    Hi there,
Starting my day feeling empowered & in control, first it is important that I prepare my mind, soul & spirit for battle & to be victorious. So, for me being a child of God, a daughter of the King & a heir to all that the King has, I know starting my day with Him & in His word builds me up, undergerds & fills me up with His power & authority. My tank is then "full" & I become SUPERWOOOMAN!

    Fill your tank too!

I don't think it's necessary to do something like that. You can even do anything what you like to do. It totally depends on you.

I listen to 30 minutes of inspirational audio, visualize my day and have the most nutritionally-dense meal possible. A little music makes a big difference too!

Morning Rituals, not necessary.. The moment i wake up and look at my kids keeps me motivated to do everything for them. Morning rituals will not help you get motivated with your daily life, motivation comes from within.

When I wake up and still lying on my bed, I'd think of stuff I'm grateful for.

Then I do the Zero Limit mantra I learned from Joe Vitale.

    I'm sorry
    Please forgive me
    Thank you
    I love you

Lastly a meditation technique I learned from Deepak Chopra on how to use the law of attraction to get what we want.

I've explained this on my blog, check out, "How to Clear Your Mind So You Can Be More Focus and Attract What You Want" post on my blog if you're interested to know more.

Wake Up, let out my 3 furkids, for morning pee, make cuppa, dogs back in, all back to bed for 15 minutes whilst I focus on my to do list. NEVER listen to the news!

Think about my day and give thanks for everything I am, everything I am going to be and everything in my life, and ask the Universe and Angels to help me with everything I do in the day to make it worthwhile.

First thing I do is a take a shower and brush my teeth the same time. Just to wake up...

On the way to my work I'm reflecting over the things I achieved/not achieved yesterday and what I need to do when I come home. I have a time schedule already, with some small tasks, but all the good ideas comes to me when I'm driving or in the night, when I have to sleep
