Don't Let The Storms Stop You

Like the weather, life brings storms. No matter how positive, determined or self motivated you are. How have you gotten past some of life's storms? Can you share any experiences you've had?

For example, here's one of the methods of getting through many of my storms. For example, parental loss, job downsizing, physical injuries, etc. was reading, listening and watching others who was able to get through similar or even worse storms than I faced.

Reading the "comeback from setback stories" of others can do wonders when you're trying to make a comeback, I know I've made several of them in my young life.

What's your experience in this area?

My major storm (a family suicide) actually laid the foundation of a new career because of the life lessons learned from that tragedy to where I am now. Since then, I've come across a lot of people who had experienced major storms too and they all serve to help inspire us to move on.

It's funny how storms can work as an element of "cleansing life lessons" to those who allow it. Much like a rain storm can clear the air after its over.

I've had my fair share of storms but I've been able to weather them by just knowing that tomorrow will bring a better day. You just have to hang on and give things time to get better.

That's a good point, with all the books, seminars and life coaches in the world, "time still is and always be the best healer" as the saying goes.

Life storms do have a strange way of clearing new paths we may never have thought of before. The trick seems to finding ways to keep your head clear so you can recognize the right paths to take as they present themselves.

I'm going through some storms right now myself. Since the beginning of this year, a few of my friends and family members have died, serious I am having serious financial issues, and I may lose my family as a result. It' been a constant barrage of "bad luck."

I've been getting through this because I know that all this will pass. If I look at my whole life up until now, I have had a very good one and I am very grateful for it. I also think that if it's going to get worse, let it get worse. I look at it as a challenge and not something I have no control over.
