Dear all warriors,

As you may see on my post count, i'm not a very active warrior, mostly caused that i'm busy with my offline business.
So who am i? Well i'm 21 years old, coming from Kosova. I started my online adventure when i was 16, never came close to make 6 figure incomes yearly, however i was more than happy with the extra money i generated beside my school, but enough about me, i want to share something that has made me tons of customers.

What i did to make the wheel spin:
First of all i did a little research with some of my friends (all business owners) and asked what they will think about if i hosted a seminar (free of charge) explaining how important a website can be and enganging your customer in your company and also the GREAT benefits of SEO. You might guess it, they all said: We'll be there for sure!

So i bought a little advertisement in the local paper (around $200 for approx. a6 size ad) and put up folders and flyers around the town telling about my seminar. I was shocked to see that HUGE amount of people instresting in hearing what oppotunities the internet could give them.
I took a big projector to the seminar and showed them what people want to see, what SEO and a great website can do for their business. I offered them all a trial for a crazy low price limited to 30 persons, but guess what, of the 30 persons who took the trial instantly, only 2 went and made a cancelation (very competetive keywords, i wasn't able to put them on first page after a month, so they quit, old people huh?).

Huge amout of people, cheap trial and only 30 people signed up? That was what i could take in with the team i had in the past, i didn't want to give my company a bad name from the begining, so i had to say no to alot of people. And deliver what was promised to the one i could

However a few months later, i was able to take more assignments and i contacted them to ask if they still were intrested and even better, i was able to show them the results we have generated for other customers.
- Some of them enjoys 80.000 visitors to their webshop, they don't just like us, they LOVE us, they have made me so many customers, that if i have known they will be this generous, i would have done the SEO on their site for free.

Since we delivered on EVERY customer what we promisted, i've never hold any seminar since, mianly because i don't have time to find the right persons to join my company, took me months of research and testing to set-up a team of 6 members. They refer me to they friends, business partners etc. You guys know what that means, that's the BEST and EASIET way to land a deal, being refered by a happy customer, they have already done most things for you, at the meeting you tell the customer what you can do for them and how much it will cost, nothing more. Atleast 80% of the time, that's how it is for me.

That's my 2 cent. If anybody wants to see the material i used, i can put it up, the material is on danish, however i will take a half an hour and translate it.

Have a great day

Ps. True, i didn't make money the first month i was "online" with my service on SEO, but believe me, that payed out pretty well
Pss. Don't expect that i can reply PM's that fast, some of them might take couple of days to be answered, however play with the idea and start doing it, you will not regret.

Nice post! It shows that you were proactive and took action, while following your passion. Glad it worked out for you. A lot of us focus on the online side of things, and we forget that offline is also a great potential goldmine. Thanks for the inspiration.

      Thank you too.
In my case it turned out to be a better "road" doing offline than online.
I think what might scare alot of people is, that there is plenty of competitors offline aswell. In they end it all comes down to customer care, because whether i convert a PSD to HTML or another company does it, the end product is 90% equal.
Customer care and delivering what you promised.
What i prefer working offline is that people can refer me to friends etc. I always give them a couple of business cards, so whenever the situation appers that somebody needs something done, they are MORE than happy to tell them what i did for them.

I wish you all a great weekend

    Fantastic! So, in a nutshell:

    1. Hold a seminar
    2. Capture their contact info
    3. Teach good info
    4. Take on clients
    5. Over-deliver to those clients
    6. Contact the seminar attendees when you are able to take on more clients. Show them what you accomplished with the first group of clients, and/or
    7. Ask your clients for referrals.

    Sounds like a plan.

      Hello sir,

Sorry i haven't been able to reply you before this, but yes, in a nutshell that would be the step-by-step guide. And it works, just takes dedication, like everything else in the world

Have a fantastic day. Shot me a PM if anybody needs anything.
