Mine is Rolf Potts Vagabonding - An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel.

This book got me started with travel, and the unexplainable joy it brings.

Share a book that's made an impact on you life and share a bit about it if you'd be so kind! (I do need some more reading material!)

"The 4-Hour Workweek" by Timothy Ferriss. I highly recommend it. The book is a great tool for reframing your mindset and shifting how you think about things. It's useful whether you want to be more successful in the corporate world or striking out on your own. Also it has great advice for just living a better life. I hope you check it out.

Absolutely agree with this. The 4-Hour Workweek is great for inspiration and changing the way you think about work. I also like Think and Grow Rich, Art of the Start and, honestly, anything Mark Twain ever wrote! Mark Twain had some awesome thoughts on independent thinking.

Side note: I wouldn't take all of the business advice in 4-Hour all by itself. It's a great motivator but when you know what you want to do I would suggest zeroing in on your subject of interest with some more detailed information. That's just me, though.

The book that has changed my views, attitudes that also changed my personality is the book called "Feeling Good" by Dr. David Burns. It explains how your thoughts can affect your emotions and to help yourself to feel good when you feel bad is just to change the way you think which makes it really effective.

I've had a lot of books which have changed my life.

The first was probably Atlas Shrugged (though, Ms Rand would probably greatly disapprove of me now), and more recently I've found lots of value in both David Allen's Getting Things Done and Napoleon Hill's Law of Success in 16 lessons.

I find I learn something worth knowing from every book I read. One of my inspirations is Ben Franklin and later tonight I'm planning on starting his autobiography. Kind of pumped about that.

the two books i put into practice into my life and home business that ended in multiple 7 figure results in more than one venture were these two, one already mentioned: Og Mandino, the greatest salesman in the world, and Dr. David Schwartz, the magic of thinking big. one of my ventures went on to 8 figures in 6 years. i did not think big enough as i stopped, took 5 years off, travelled the world with my family, adn basically hung out with my wife and kids, ate great, and am now challenging myself to go for 9 figures from zero in a relatively short time. Hi!

I believe that books can change your life because it entails a lot of learning's and realization that you tend to ignore in your past life. The fact that there are a lot of books that you can read it doesn't mean that all books can change your life in a positive aspects, there are some books that can keep your mind change to the other side of your life. So, if you want to change your life in a peaceful living you have to look for books that are helpful and accurate that can efficiently help you or improve your lifestyle.

Besides the Bible, I'm right now at the stage where I like to read about personal development/transformation stuff from a scientific and practical view. I just read the first part of "The Answer" by John Assaraf and he incorporates the Science of transformation and also the practical 6 steps to neural reconditioning. As a Christian, someone who does pretty much the same as Assaraf (though from a Christian perspective incorporating behavioural science) and speaks a lot of the Science and the practical steps to transform one's life is Dr. James B. Richards of Impact Ministries.

James Richards has transformed my life or at least gotten me on the road to doing so - transformation doesn't happen overnight. And The Answer (at least the first part) does a very good job of organizing a lot of James' insights into an organized whole.

            Yep, that's me. Thanks.

I don't think Lulu is doing kindle... but it's on the iTunes Store for just about every other device, from iPhone to Nook.

And you can find it on Lulu as a PDF too.

Honestly, my own book had the biggest impact on my life.... because the solid year of brain bending work that went into deriving the model (with my own insanely high standard that it has to be true for all people all the time) forced me to really dig in and work hard to understand all the WHY's of psychology and self help. This in turn makes every other self help book more tangible and useful because it gives a solid framework of "why" for everyone else's "what".

A Unified Model of the Human Psyche by John-Paul Miller

After I worked out my model, 3 books really stand out as excellent teachings of "how to implement" everything my model identifies but can't really teach on its own.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
Are You Ready To Succeed by Srikumar Rao
Good to Great by Jim Collins

The Long Tail and Cult Of the Amateur offer excellent point-counterpoint presentations of the internet revolution.

4 Hour Work Week really brought focus to "the product and the process" of selling a product and somehow made the whole IM thing a lot more tangible by taking it past the selling of make money online products and into the world of "selling real stuff".

Finally everything by Seth Godin brings home the importance of selling big without selling out.

    Mother Teresa's Crisis of Faith
    By DAVID VAN BIEMA

Jesus has a very special love for you. As for me, the silence and the emptiness is so great that I look and do not see, listen and do not hear.
    — Mother Teresa

Come Be My Light is that rare thing, a posthumous autobiography that could cause a wholesale reconsideration of a major public figure — one way or another. It raises questions about God and faith, the engine behind great achievement, and the persistence of love, divine and human.
