How to Make 1 Million Dollars...

Disclaimer: I have not made 1 million dollars myself, but I plan to. I am 17 years old and have a lot ahead of me.

Some of the stuff I have been doing in no way consitutes a real business. Just been "money-chasing" which may result in 100 bucks here, 400 there and so on.. but never gaining any real momentum.

If you impact millions of people you will make millions.

Sorry but you aren't going to do that writing articles, or posting little adsense blogs in hopes you might get a couple affiliate sales or ad clicks.

Do you think you are benefiting society by simply asking "how can I make $5k a month if I have $50 to start" ?

That is a selfish statement that does not lead to any real wealth.

Wealth is created when you add values to others and therefore are rewarded for it.

You must ask what do people need/want?

How can I solve a problem for others and charge them for the solution I provide?

What is a need/desire that is not currently being met in the marketplace?

...

"If you aren't offering something unique and of value to the market, then what's the point?"

Think about what the true value is of what you are doing...and you'll realize the truth behind the current amount of money in your bank account...

Start focusing on what attracts the money instead of chasing the money around...

This is what I have started to do and will be doing in the future..

Focusing on real business. real wealth. stop messing around with worthless "tactics" and "techniques"

You will then be a millionaire.

I know I will be.

You got it, Mike. Wealth is attained by seeing what people want/need. And then being there or having a product that provides that.

"Focus on what attracts the money" - I like that!

I'll race you to a million

Hell, if this was the year 2000, you could get 10-20 writers to start churning articles out on every commercial topic with an affiliate link in it

That would have brought you quite close to the million dollar mark.

Do you think you are benefiting society by simply asking "how can I make $5k a month if I have $50 to start" ? (in life, everything serves-if all you have is $50, it is a start)

That is a selfish statement that does not lead to any real wealth. (real wealth is not measured in dollars and cents-your view of selfishness that you do not like, is actually a reflection of yourself-may be wise to be kind to yourself?)

Wealth is created when you add values to others and therefore are rewarded for it. (wealth is inherent, we all have it from birth. bill gates has zero more wealth than you do-he has more money, not more wealth)

You must ask what do people need/want? (must is your "charge" again, i believe this is a wise question to start your business-even wiser to honor yourself-find what is highly valuable to YOU, and share that with the world, you will be sharing what you love, which means you can do it all day long and be rewarded financially with prosperity)

How can I solve a problem for others and charge them for the solution I provide? (another great question-we all deal in "fair exchange" all day long. have you ever heard the expression, people will do more for recognition than for money? if people HAD to choose between rich and famous, many will pass up the dough-that is ones values they have-medonalds figured this out decades ago and gave employees buttons/pins instead of a raise)

What is a need/desire that is not currently being met in the marketplace? (great question-if anyone wants more money, find a way to serve more people, you definitely got that one right! nice job!)

    ...

"If you aren't offering something unique and of value to the market, then what's the point?" (charge again, mcdonalds does not provide a high quality food item for its massive following-my last meal there was in the mid 90's, 15 years ago. they serve billions, nor is their food unique. in our lives, everything truly does/can serve-the trick is to find what form, the service is in-if energy and matter cannot be created, NOR destroyed, they can only change form, thus, all there is, IS transformation. 1st law of thermodynamics in quantum physics)

i love your wisdom at such a young age. btw, i have a son 11 years older than you who chased his entrepreneurial dreams from the states over to europe and he is succeeeding well at his niche and goals. you gave me a chuckle at your small rant, and then i looked at your title about making a million, then 1st thing disclaimed it-not high honesty. i think it is safe to say, your intentions are completely honorable, perhaps putting a question mark might be best at the end of that sentance over a period? it took me a LONG time, but in 3 different home businesses cracked 7 figures from zero 3 times, one went on to 8 figures in 6 years from nothing. i think that qualifies me to speak on this subject.

you certainly have the basis of the formula by finding ways to serve-want more money? serve more people-simple and true formula. back to mr. gates, he serves billions of people, and thus makes billions of dollars. of the 7 areas of life, in no particular order, family, physical, financial, social, spiritual, mental, voactional, we all have a "hierarchy" of values, (what is most important, to what is least important) money is at the bottom of my value list. i learned one "secret", how to "anchor" making money to what IS important to me-my family. if your family is your highest value, you may not trade them for bill gates's money, you are a billionaire in the family area of life then-maybe your friends? your church? your health? your work? your mind? we are all wealthy in some area of life and thus, quite successful. i love the topic of making money for sure-one of my favorites when it is specifically designated to small business. i believe/know that we must grow presonally, before we grow financially. you defintely have what it takes to be a financial millionaire, and i congratulate you on that! keep up your vision and heart no matter what, never quit on your dream. it only took me 17 years to become an "overnight success". I'd say that McDonald's food is unique and valuable because it provides a cheap and quick way for people to eat.

That is their value. Sure the food isn't high quality or healthy but it's value is in its convenience.

They have branded themselves as that and expanded to serve billions of burgers over the years and that is why they are a billion dollar company!

      Regarding scale,

If they were just one store in one small town, they wouldn't be a billion dollar company.

I dont believe "$50 to make $5000" is selfish at all. 5000/month really isnt that much for families now. Maybe if both parents are making 5 a month thats pretty good, but sometimes people just want more in case of an emergency. You dont know whats in the road a head, a kidney transplant could be a tiny bump for you and a pothole for others down the road of life.

Mike is just echoing someone else's idea, maybe his parents, or he read it somewhere. He's only 17. Btw Mike, I hope you don't spend too much time trying to achieve your 1 million dollar goal that you lose your teenage life. If I were you, I will put that idea for later. For now, you should just enjoy being a teenager....go out, join a band...score lots of chicks. Really don't waste your teenage life thinking about this stuff already...

Mike has learned/understood some "amazing" concepts for creating great wealth. And, there's no reason he can't be a successful "Internet Marketer" (or whatever) as well as enjoying his teenage years.

The most important concept for me is being a "servant" to your market and providing massive amounts of value.

I don't think Playboy provides value in terms of improving a person's life.

I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but Playboy and other soft/hard porn sites should be avoided. They make you view a woman as a object to be dominated rather than loved. I wish they would put all that stuff in a 'red light district' on the web instead of forcing us to buy blockers for our kids' computers. (exit soapbox..)

Well, it's all cool to look for the perfect idea that you can sell to millions - the question is whether you will be able to find it. Meanwhile, there are affiliate marketers selling high priced items and making $1K+ in commissions per sale. I would like to get there. The "little" earnings through blogs add up.

I think that statement is overrated. Of course in any honest business we must always give value, in fact we can't escape that. We need to give something of value in exchange for money, no other choice. Unless your business is a scam, all businesses naturally give something of value in exchange for money. How else would people pay you? Hence, I don't understand why people like to repeat that statement, maybe to look good or look wise, I'm not sure. It's like saying 'in life, always eat good food'.....duh.....

Having said that, while 'giving value' is obvious, the 'perception of value' is another matter. McDonald's can be seen as giving value in terms of convenience, but no value in the eyes of the health conscious.

        Hi Mesmerist.

The way I think about it is giving lots of “value” before asking for a sale. This can be done by publishing articles, newsletters, special reports, etc. Many people do the opposite. They’re all about trying to get without giving first. (Scarcity mindset.)

These concepts may be “simple” (and many people have heard them before) however I think they work wonders when building a solid business.
