Microwave Mindset ???

Our culture has trained most of us to expect instant results

If your browser doesn't open in 60 seconds you leave . If you go drive way and food doesn't come quick enough , you go somewhere else

Similarly most people abandon their dreams and live in regret just because they didn't see quick enough results

Do you kick off if things don't go your way if things do not work out way immediately ?

No wrong if you have done it before and expect better . But if you never done it before and you expect quick microwave results , then there is a problem ...

we don't live in a microwave universe . things take time . The universe happens in season

There is a season for plant and a season to harvest . rarely do you ever planting and harvest season happen in the same season .

It is on its way. keep working your success is on its way

Don't give up .

You put it all together beautifully! Love the title Microwave Mindset! I will think of that often. Here is one thing I often wonder after reading many different posts. Is it that people give up too early, or is it they do not want to invest the work and effort it takes to make the ending come out the way they want? It does go back to Microwave Mindset - instant gratification. If I can't have this, then I will try something else.

I think this is also because of the quickening pace of our world. Remember when you wanted to know something and you had to go to the library? Now you can just whip out your Blackberry and find the answer immediately. Everything we want or need to know is right at our fingertips now. It still doesn't change the fact that when you plant seeds you must let nature take its time-- and you must create the proper environment or your harvest will never happen!

I think a lot of people are probably in very tight situations right now and this is causing them to get desperate. This makes people not only want money right away but need it because bills are behind and mouths need to be fed. So when they don't see results right away they feel they have to move on to something that will promise faster results.

It's human nature to look for instant gratifications. To break from this you need a little will power and pushing yourself to change it. The more you go to long term gratification, the less you can interested in instant results addiction

We definintely live in a microwave mindset - entitlement - society.. Especially in America. If an old lady takes to long to walk across the street, in some places, people believe they're ENTITLED to damn near run her over.

We all have the power, love, and self-control to fight off the visceral imagery of popular media and what not, but since it's so entertaining, most people choose not to.

Fortunate for us, we have places like the WF where we can come to get our questions answered, as well as answer others questions. This allows us to constantly keep out mindset muscles working, which is developing us into ALL STAR entrepreneurs.

I recently published an interview with Aaron Darko that talks about what we can do to develop and maintain an entrepreneurs mindset. Check it out here:

Glad you like it ... I think we are hard wired to want things right now . There is deception in business that the grass would be greener in the other side but the grass is greener WHERE YOU WATER IT .

Hi Cheree, I feel you on this . The first thing you want to take care of is survival . the bills have to be paid . The kids have to eat . They care whether you having a bad time or not they have to eat . There are ways to get in come faster but like any thing else it can take awhile.

When things don't happen as quickly as you would like them to happen it is probably because you are not ready to recieve, meaning you are not completely in alignment with those things you are seeking. Think about what in your mind is holding you back before you give up and start on something else.

I loved this post, thanks for sharing it - I really mean that.

It's a great reminder that what work you do today may not give you results today. That's definitely true with regards to SEO.

I'm naturally an impatient person at the best of times so this is going to help my kick back into reality on the days when my mind is acting like a Microwave.

    ~Russ

P.S - Adding to the SEO note above, I thought I'd add that in my business when I start a new site I don't decide whether or not it's working until I've reached WEEK 6! Yes, at least 6 weeks to test an SEO campaign on a new site.
