Everyone has his or her calling in life. That one thing that keeps them going. Some people want to work for a better life while others want to give a good future to their children. some people love doing what they do because it gives a purpose to their life while some just love the pay check at the end of the month:p

So tell me, what keeps you going. What makes you get up every morning from your cozy bed and go to work. Do you like what you do or are their some other reasons behind you doing your job?

I do it because I enjoy it and for the money of course. Money gives me options but it certainly not the ingredient to 100% happiness.

I'm a freelance writer, and I do it because I love writing, always have. Some jobs are better than others and the money helps as well

For me, it is the sense of accomplishment that keeps me going. I love to make money and just love it. The best thing for me about making money is that I can give my loved ones the things they want. Just the look on their face makes it worth it.

and ya, of course the branded watch and I-pod I bought for myself is not bad either. And the food in my favourite luxury (read expensive) restaurant also keeps me wanting to earn more. :-)

For me it's my two great kids... and a spouse who keeps me on the straight and narrow road!

    Hi Jayden,

    What an excellent question.

There are two basic types of motivation, IMHO, so I will list one for each.

    External - Family
Internal - A thirst for learning, getting better and doing right.

    All the best,
    Michael

Freedom of time and location. Nothing worse than being a slave to corporate games. Being independant is hard work and risky but worth every ounce of effort to achieve freelance status to do the things that really inspire you.
