Internet Marketing as a full time job

I come from a society where we are encouraged to work hard, get good grades so that we can get good jobs. The focus is employment and desk jobs.
As a result, many people do not enjoy what they do because its just a job, not their passion.
Starting a business is considered hard and not very 'wise!' 'Why don't you just get a job like everyone one else??'That is what everyone will ask you.
Working online is now even more strange! Everyone thinks its totally crazy and you will only get scammed.
I now work online on a full time basis and I'm totally loving it. I offer services while at the same time building my own online property.

My question to all you wonderful warrior, what would you give as tips for one to succeed online? How long did it take you to become successful online so that you did not need to get a 'regular' job?

    Hello Shania,

Though Im not full time yet I can relate to what you said about growing up in an atmosphere where the Rat Race is the way of life...In 2006 my uncle introduce me to the marketing world and Ive been exploring all types of marketing...But about 6 months ago Internet marketing found me...I have experience success as a newbie and what I've learned is patients is one of the keys...Do not reinvent the wheel...If your strategy works do not change it because of what the next man is doing...and most of all we are helping others whether its offering a product of conducting a training.

Thanks Marc7. I'm glad to know I'm not on this journey alone and it does work. Away with the rat race mentality!

Focus on what you are doing. Don't try to get into the information overload. Sellect a business/niche that can make you rich not just make money at any time. Networking and partnership with other IM.

Yeah I have to agree with the previous post. Focus on one thing because it is very easy to get distracted with too many ventures at once and not give any one your full attention. Once you are focused on one thing all you have to do is be patient and stick with it even if its not going as planned. The main game changer is people give up right before they are about to become successful and they dont even know it!

I agree. We are global right now. If someone from America can make it online, so can someone from Kenia, Nepal or Amsterdam. Keep your focus on what you are doing, because there are many ways. Send your energy in the right direction. It'll work for sure.
Don't let others tell you what to do. You are strong enough to make up your own mind. Good luck!

Congratulations on earning full time income . That is great . More grease to your elbow. Tips for one success ?

1.I would say don't work alone . If you do , you end up burnt out . It is always wise to outsource what is working

    2. Get some to critic your performance and improve your standard

    3. Feed your mind with positive stuff everyday

Thanks for sharing those 3 things. I totally agree on the part of burning out when you work alone. I'm glad I work with a team of great Internet Marketers. If it was not them, I would have given up a long time ago.

First decide on what it is you do well, then plan out a strategy to deliver that in a way that's solving other peoples problems.
Stay focused, be consistent and leverage all you can.

It's not a matter of time, Shania. It's a matter of accomplishments. And that's going to vary wildly by how much knowledge, experience, skills you bring with you, your mindset, habits, and drive, and how clearly you've identified and described EXACTLY what it is you're going to do, how you're going to do it, etc.

As with anything worthwhile, there is a learning curve. You need to learn the fundamentals, the basic terms and concepts, and particularly the options that are available to you. You can attack this directly, systematically, in a single afternoon or evening; or you can play around with it, trying to avoid doing any reading or thinking, for years. In my experience, the latter pretty much typifies the overwhelming majority of workers - online or B&M.

Do a little brainstorming and a little research before you jump off the deep end into a drained pool.

Then, it's simply a matter of testing and analyzing and adjusting until you're consistently getting the traffic, getting the click-throughs, getting the conversions.

After that, it's entirely up to you to scale it up - or not - to whatever level you want!

Last Christmas, I got a copy of Dr. Mani's Think, Write, and RETIRE! and that planted the seed. Since then, I've gone from zero to 4 grand a month, on 3-4 hours a day, 6 days a week. (That is - in less time than the average couch potato wastes parked in front of the boob-tube!) The best part is that I have my own products in nice sale funnel, so from here on I can get by on 2 hours a week blogging - unless/until I feel an irresistible urge to add another product.

Now, I'm in the process of going back to square one to venture into other areas and methods.

"It's that 'multiple streams of income' thing again! Not Roswell!"

Wow! That is very encouraging! Especially now that you are putting in less time and making more money.

I do hope to get there but for sure I cannot complain. I know its just a matter of time.
      Thanks for sharing!

I'm just telling you how I adapted what I have learned, and how it's working out for me. Your actual mileage WILL vary.

'Time' is unique. You can spend it productively or foolishly squander it, but you do NOT get a refund or a make up.

I took pains to get the research right, and it has paid off; I made a minor sacrifice on occasion to get as much done as quickly as possible, and I expect I'll be getting passive income for years even decades to come because of it.

There's a bit of a time lag involved here, so I'm expecting my income to increase another 50-100% over the next few months with no additional time or effort.

There's also something of a snowball effect converting prospects into repeat customers and loyal fans.

Also, once the product is completed, it's a cakewalk to convert to alternate formats - PDF, audio, video, e-courses, etc., even packaging them into a physical product.

To grow faster we need to have the right mindset about money and how to manage it to be financially freedom. You develop this mindset by constant reading, constant asking how to do it better, constantly looking to get better results is the key.

    My advice to you is:

Pick one niche that you believe in and stick with it. Be determined and follow through and don't give up. You can choose from a wide variety of niches but the most important thing is to stick with your idea and follow through. The most common mistake that people do is jumping from niche/program to niche/program and, sadly never gets anything done...

    1. Keep learning and build your skills.
    2. Get help and ask questions.
    3. Take action and apply your training.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!

With so much information available (both free and paid) for the new internet marketer... it can be very overwhelming. Being a member of this forum is a great start. Having the support of all the warriors here is very comforting. Have a question? Somebody will have an answer!

Other than that... read through the posts and choose someone you feel a connection with... then check out their own site. Chances are... he or she will have a product that exactly meets your needs.

But most importantly... I say go with one mentor at a time... too many suggestions coming from too many different directions can only make you stop in your tracks. Bottom line... keep moving forward.

First off you need to treat working online like you would a real job.. I've been online full time for the past couple of years and things started clicking for me once I set goals and focused on finding ways to achieve those goals. If your goals are too big then break them down into smaller more actionable goals. I'm sure everyone has their process but that's when I noticed things started taking off for me.
