What motivates you to make more money?

My hubby and I love to travel and both love NYC. I just found out about a new play from one of his favorite actors, plus I'd like to go to adTech in Nov. (love to combine business with fun travel). So now I am very motivated to work on my big projects.

What motivates you?

That is such a good question to ask . It is probing and cuts right to the reason behind all the daily effort .
    There are 2 reasons :

1.Hope:I refuse to believe that living to survive in a job is all life is about . I refuse to believe that i would work so hard and very little to make sure i survive

    2. Legacy : What is my life about ? At the end of my life , it won't matter what i have amassed , what car i drive , how many houses i own .

    None of this count .

What would really matter to me is that I useful to other people besides myself . Did i matter in other people lives ? Did i help when i had the chance . Was i there for others . Did i make a difference?

Did i just eat , sleep and die like everybody else ? Did i make a contribution ?

Who have i become and what I have done for others

Money is a beautiful thing .We all need some I know most people are struggling in that area . By breaking my boundaries , I show people a way out of poverty . A way out of complaining . Bring hope to families that are losing . Bring joying to families . Bring hope to the next generation

To give donations to the helpless people and physically handicapped. I feel like they are really suffers a lot. Usually I will spend 50 percent of my income to the charitable trusts. Till now, I am earning only $ 1000 per month. I want to create a real world for the helpless people that motivates me to make money.

Well now, that is a deep subject which I'm sure every person has motive that drives them.
Some may want to make more money to acquire the items that they have never had. While others feel secure when they have money that is not completely depleted at the end of the month. Then of course making more money becomes a game for some, you reach a goal of xxx amount of dollars by a certain time and then strive to accomplish a new goal, exceeding your last goal. Don't put money on a pedestal, it's only a vehicle to move you from one point to another. Remember to drive carefully.

What ever reason motivates you keep it ethical, we all have a moral philosophy that we abide by. I know from experience that when "more money" comes your way it's followed by an old acquaintance that goes by the name "temptation". Doors open that you never knew existed and every one of those doors leads to another door....

Where am I going with this?

It's simple, there's two rules in making money, keep your thinking cap on, remember your moral philosophy, never get greedy, and make decisions as if your life counted on it. That, is rule number 1. Rule number 2. Always revert back to rule number 1. I did mention it was a deep subject.

On a lighter note, for me, making more money is about "kids". It cost money to bring them into the world, to raise them, then when they go out on their own because they can't stand living with you anymore, they seem to always call and ask "Do you have any money".

There you have it, my motivation to make "more money" plus have you seen the price of a loaf of bread $3.79(the good stuff) Every time I buy some I think, I should pop in at the Oroweat bakery and look at the oven I've paid for.

      All the best,
      Guy

What motivates me is the financial freedom and not having a boss. It would be so nice to have a job you enjoy where you set the hours and call the shots and basically determine how much you want to make. I'd also like to help out my family with their bills and pay my mother back for investing into me---That's a real hard core motivation since she supported me financially when I had nothing but a dream and a hard work ethic...

I wouldn't say that I am motivated about making "more" money.

I am content with what I currently have.

However, I feel in order to help more people, you need some reasoning for trade.

So in the same instance that I am not motivated about making money, I am.

My motivation for making more money is probably so that I can help others and some day help the world in some big part.

I couldn't care less about the money, it comes and goes. As long as I live, as long as I can put food on my family's table, buy the things I want, and have a normal lifestyle without somebody telling me to do is okay. That's all I need, it's done. I won't get motivated just because of money, it's not everything... I want to make a difference in people's life, even if money helps them it motivate me to keep on moving. Changing people's lives is more then you can ask for! Real talk.

Money itself motivates. But, it stops motivating after a while. I find that going on a vacation, being able to afford things I want, and helping other people are good motivators. If you can get involved in the community, you'll find tons of motivation to make more money in order to help people. It makes for a great life.

I have to say that for me this is simply to live life on my terms and being able to earn 100% of the effort I put in.

I left the rat race to literally 'design my life' in doing so I have:

    1. Removed the stress and time it took me to commute each day - that was a biggy
    2. the stress of other people incompetence, mis management
    3. Justifying my value to employers during pay reviews - a futile and pointless task in my opinion

Admittedly I have new challenges & stresses by being self employed but I find overcoming these challenges very empowering. Overall, I think that money = freedom and opportunity therefore there is the motivation.

They say money can't buy happiness, but they can buy things that make you happy. What motivates me is not only to have "more money" sleeping in my pocket, but to have "more money" to buy things that makes me happy. My wife and I love's to travel in different historical places, we enjoy eating in different restaurant, we enjoy doing things together like other newly couple do. Even if I have work, I need to have extra job to earn extra income. We are not a fun of buying luxury cars or expensive things just to displace in our garaged. But we spend money on things that we both get active at the same time very educative.
At this moment I'm contented in my current situation, earning and spending it wisely. But it doesn't mean that I am not looking forward to have better opportunity in IM to earn much.

    Being free.

I used to hate getting up in the morning and trudging off to a job I hated. Sleeping in every day is one of my biggest rewards. I think freedom (which is quite cheap and relatively easy to achieve) is more important than mega financial success. When I coach I always ask right up front..."how much money do you want to make?" I'm surprised at how few people have an answer to that.

Being able to use money as a tool to experience more happiness motivates me to try and earn more. Of course, I recognize that it will only help me to experience happiness to a certain point. I find a new goal is always useful for me. So for instance a new car, or stereo. One twist, I always set my achievement higher than is required for the goal. So if I want a new car, will set my goal to earn 3 x what the car costs. That way additional is created to use to grow the business.

I get motivated by looking at my family and seeing how happy they are when we are enjoying life on the money I produce. It is fun making others happy.
It just makes you want to get to work and make more happiness and smiles and laughter!

normally it's just so I can live a happy normal life and get married to my fiancé, buy a home and have children, explore the world together and truly enjoy life and it's fine cuisines.

unfortunately my fiancé and I just got kicked out and extra money right now would definitely come in handy as we have all of our money tied up in other things right now and weren't exactly expecting this around Christmas.

I hope soon that I can resume my normal goals and aspirations to live a happy normal life. Especially since IM is my main business I don't have a 9-5 job to either worry about nor rely on.

      Financial freedom

I've recently realized that even though I'm earning a pretty decent income with my current career, the moment I stop working I stop making money.

Being a freelancer this is especially true. No paid offs, no paid leaves. Yes I can make more money that most of my employed friends given the same length of time but it's too risky being a sole provider.

So my motivation comes from my desire to establish more passive income streams so I can make money while sleeping.

  • There are so many warriors who have such strongly supportive natures. They want to excel to help others to either excel or to alleviate their suffering. I have been very impressed with what motivates so many warriors to succeed.

I am motivated by a need to deliver value in some, any form that serves another. What a remarkable opportunity it is to be able to simply interact with others. It is such a blessing.

    What motivates you?

As an entrepreneur, the act of turning ideas into income producing businesses is a huge motivation and turn on. Money in many ways indicates the success of your idea...or at least proof of concept.

The same thing that motivates everyone. The one thing we all want more than anything else. Freedom.

Either freedom from something or freedom to do something. Either way, the greatest human desire is to be free to be who we want to be. The first freedom I (and most people who've I've consulted with) want is to be free from having to be rudely woken up to go to a job they hate (or at best would never do for free) to go and work with people who are idiots for not enough money while being patronised all day and then to look forward to that disgusting existence day after day for eternity.

Freedom, we all just want freedom.
