Does This Forum Distract You?

by That Guy 18 replies
To all you of warriors out there: does this forum distract you from your internet marketing endeavors? I mean, for all this forum has done to help me start out, it has also become a large time sink for me.

How about you guys?

  • This forum is one of the biggest distractions for internet marketers, yeah.

WHen I stopped browsing this site every day for a few months I finally started making money instead of reading about it.

To be honest, there is an assload of bad advice on this forum, with a few golden nuggets of goodness strewn about. Even though everyone says to newbies they should come here to learn, it's one of the biggest time wasters and EXPENSIVE pieces of advice one could give to a n00b.

When you first find the warrior forum it seems like its full of super smart helpful people, but then you realize that most of them want to sell something, and the rest of them don't know dick all about how to actually make money online, and very few of the warriors actually make money online AND share their methods here for free. Very, Very few.

I would say yes and no. No because i have made money on this forum and built my list on this forum and learnt great advice . Though you say people don't give away their money making advice for free , I have found this not to be true at all .Lots of warriors earning 5, 6 figures a month and you can learn a lot from them at the beginning

I also yes because there is a tendency to keep absorbing great advice and NOT DOING ANYTHING as a result of the advice . If that is the case then this forum is hurting more than helping . You think you know but you are not making any money

I appreciate your point. Probably it's true about most forums. In general people love to give advices, even those advices be bad. But i think, that in most cases you have to pay to receive good advice or lesson - it is very rare where you can find something good for free.
But as my first impression of this forum i see that people there at least trying to improve themselves, not just trash talking.

I have found some really good ideas here so far. I don't come here a lot though.

To me, it's easy to see when someone just wants to make money - - there will be an expensive product offered. I think trying some free things out first is a good idea. And there is some GREAT free advice here. I have found it myself and plan to study it, and learn from it.

I wouldn't say it's a distraction. I'd say it's more of a motivator. It's quite nice seeing there are others with problems here and there and then others whom are striving even without making anything. It reminds me of how I was a few months ago and really pushes me to do better. And it's exciting watching people grow

It's a great forum, but I would set aside a certain amount of time each day to be on it....it cannot be all day.

I guess you can sit here even all day, if your work/business allows it, i am not advocating to become forum addict though

If distraction is positive then yes, It can be a healthy distraction like snacking on pop corn instead of typing.

It doesn't really distract me. Every minute spent here I see as an investment. And even if you get addicted to it, it's better to get addicted to Warrior forum than to some gambling website, for example

I love this forum but the WSO section is kinda addicting.

I've learned tons of stuff I didn't know though. It's invaluable for me and my business. I've applied some WSO that I bought and made money from them.

Like any other thing in word, it depends on your use. This form is single point knowledge universe for IM's. You will find everything you might need in the world to succeed as IM. Again, its your choice to hang forever and reading n reading, and not transfering percious info and knowledge into action.

I made my money online only due to WF.

I use to read a ton of comments when I first started on here, then I started clamping down on time management. I read a few here and there, but no more 4+ hours a day in here.

Nope, I think the fact that I know the different between dreaming and taking action is that I actually learn from the forum, which helps a lot because I'm learning every day, and then construct a plan to take action. Some people just think reading a forum will make the money flow for them.
