Need help getting organized...

I have multiple ways to make money right now, but my issue is I'll start something and when it's time to pull the trigger (like making a website and moving to spending marketing dollars) I end up moving on to something else.

I have several avenues to bring in some cash, but for some reason I can't stop myself from moving on to the next project without finishing the last. It's like I'll lose interest and tell myself to get back to it later.

What I would like to do is focus on 5 or 6 of these methods to make money.

Affiliate Marketing
Adsense Blogs
Hyperlocal Blog and video website (make money with adsense and local ads)
Offline AM with flyers
Web Design

If I could find a way to do all at the same time I would be able to quick my current job. I just can't figure it out. I thought of outsourcing, but I don't even know where to start with some of the things I listed above.

Thanks in advance

Please help.

I recommend the book "The Dip" by Seth Godin. You'll understand why after reading it.

But aside from that. I'd recommend taking a look at one of those at a time. And only one project within it at a time. And don't move onto another one until it's done. Then, if you automate it before moving on, you can keep building those assets as you go.

Here's the perspective I think will help you. Focus on More. Dollars. Earned. Not more sales. Not more customers. Not more strategies, tactics, or projects. Just dollars earned. And the fastest way to do that is to finish one thing and forget all the others for now. They MIGHT come later. But only if it means earning more dollars.

Just a slight shift of perspective goes a long way.

    Hello,

I feel your pain, I have been there and at times still slip back in to that mode, when I get a new idea on how I can make money comes to my mind.

From just reading your short post I can immediately see that you are going to face issues as you say you want to get organised and not move from idea to idea and then you mention wanting to focus on 5-6 things! Trying to focus on 5-6 things will be a sure-fire way to make you procrastinate.

If you are starting out on then you need to focus on just 1 of the 5-6 ideas, spend your time on that knowing all there is to know about it until you can see it working and making money. With each of the ideas you have listed, when you look into them more they can be further broken down e.g. Adsense blogs: you would need to create the blogs, get relevant content, get backlinks, drive traffic - all this you would need to learn how to do effectively, now imagine breaking down all the ideas, that would amount to 25+ things you would need to do - that will certainly fry your brain, burn you out and make you do none of them!

So I suggest looking into just 1 of them and work on that solely, then you can move onto the next idea. If you make a note of what tasks you have done to make the idea succeed and bring you money then you will know what work you will be able to outsource and what you can do yourself. You can look to outsource on this forum, Fiverr, ODesk, VWorker etc. there's so many places - just do a search on here!

Once you have got 1 idea working and know it won't take up all your time then you can start on another income stream. Believe me once you decide to concentrate on one thing your mind will declutter. Tip: if you have a great idea when you're working on something else, write it down to come back to later, it'll still be there and perhaps when you have a break look into it for just half an hour or so before going back to your current project.

I don't have any books/audios to suggest but the method I have detailed is one that I'm working on now, it's simple but it really does work.

I hope that I could help you and I wish you all the best with your projects.

I fully sympathize with your problem, but unfortunately I don't think that there is a simple solution.

Most of us suffer from the same disease (I know I do) but apart from eliminating some of the activities, or outsourcing the repetitive time consuming ones, there is nothing else that you can do.

What I do is I prioritize and concentrate on the most important and most pressing ones. I keep wondering if outsourcing the least important ones would move things a lot faster, but I guess just like you, I am very skeptical about outsourcing.

I am afraid that, outsourcing would add to my workload as I would have to constantly monitor their work because I am a bit of a control freak.

Sounds like you need a virtual organiser

      • I agree with a previous posted. You need to focus on one of those items and get it up and running. Keep a journal / log book of all your other great money making ideas so you can get back to them as you complete your other projects.
I routinely work on multiple projects at the same time. However I have trained myself how to do that. I started by just working on one project at a time until I completed it, or got it to the stage the required minimal input from me. Then once I had proved I could accomplish one project at a time I moved up to working on two at time. I budgeted time for each project and stayed with in those time budgets.
I continually improve my organizational methods and productivity. I find it is all related, the more organized I am, the more productive I am, and the more creative I am. However you have to start by training yourself to complete your projects.
I hope this helps and good luck to you.

Let me ask, do you feel you deserve money?
Your belief about money, maybe "money is the root of all evil" is blocking your sub-conscience from succeeding. Maybe you need to stop what you are currently doing and take a few days to clear your sub conscience mind.
