I feel so uninspired to work. I don't know why but I can't even begin to work. I often find myself so distracted and when I force myself to focus, I find myself mentally exhausted. Sometimes, I throw up when I try to concentrate. I don't know what's happening to me. I wasn't like this before. I've been to the doctor, but he can't find anything wrong with me, so I think this must be psychological.

Has anybody else experienced this? How do you increase mental stamina?

Hey I read what you had to say about not having the motivation to work. Well I can give you this bit of advice but also tell me what is it that you are working on.

One of the problems that you maybe having is that you are doing what you really like and it seems that it is a challenge to your brain.

You have to know what it is that is going to excite you and stimulate your creative mind then act on it.

You will still go trough things but if it is what you really want then the stress will be less.

      Hey CyberDenizen,

Sorry to hear about the way your feeling. As MarcATurner said, maybe the area that you specialise in is one that doesn't really interest you that much.

      Ask yourself:
      1. What kind of work would I do even if I didn't get paid for it?
      2. What kind of work do you enjoy so much that you would do for free?

Do a brainstorm. Think of all the skills you have and how you can use it something you really enjoy. Then spend some time researching into jobs that you can do using your skills. You might be surprised to find that you can work in a new area which will pay you more and bring more job satisfaction. Also look into creating passive income.

That would give you an idea as to what area of work to focus on which would bring you more happiness and motivate you to action.

Maybe take a Holiday or a break from working. See what you're like when you get back.

I have many clients like you and the #1 thing that can and will get you back on track is to create a list of things you want to accomplish for the day, write them down in a white board or on paper and do not do anything until they get accomplished.

By physically writing them down and then scratching them off you will become so motivated to keep going.

Many of my clients just sit at the computer and stare and have no idea what to do or where to go, you definitely need to write down what you want to accomplish and then focus just on that.

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don’t much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn’t matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"--so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you’re sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

Yeah, I feel you. I also experience it. But my solution to that is to find ways to help you motivate.

    1. Happy thoughts
    2. Erase Negative thoughts
    3. Talk to your mentor
    4. Be grateful

Suggest to find out your unique life work, vocation, passion or life mission.

Try reading and doing the exercises in the best-selling book by Richard Bolles "What Color is Your Parachute."

This book will help uncover your unique skills you do like using, which invariably leads to skills you do particularly well. He has a section on life mission.

Bolles is considered a guru for thsoe looking for meaningful work/vocation and determining your unique life mission.

Suggest also taking a vocational test, which is usually free in a state college where you live.

      Maybe, try Myers-Briggs test.
