Programming Your Mind!!!

A lof of studies have been made past few years to really clarify how the mind actually works....and what can we do to program it in the right way so that we always attract good things in life.

Now i suppose evryone reading this have a lot of ambitions in their life....for instance everyone wants to succeed in achieving their goals whether its a good job, making money online, buying a dream house,new car etc.However a lot of people find themselves frustrated when they realised that none of those goals are gettting materialised. So what is the problem....only one thing:They are not programming their mind the right way prior to achieving those goals.

Now let me explain you what i mean,you need to think of your mind as a magnet which will attract everything you believe in. Now this is the key part..what is it attracting in your life...good things or bad things? If it is attracting the good things then fair enough you are very much in line with your goals...however if its attracting the wrong things...then don't worry you can always change this. Now if you close your eyes and try to make a vision of the things you want..say you want to cruise in the latest Aston Martin feeling happy on a very nice sunny morning, well the only thing is your mind wouldnt really know if this what you believe or feel...but the thing is the more you visualise this moment...you will in turn send your mind to work in order to attract the things that will make this a reality...i hope this is making sense!!

Another example...lets say you do not want something to happen to you...Alot of people have the tendency to say the "this headache is killing me!!"....Now this is really contracdictory....what happens now is that you are affirming your current state but at the same time you want your headache to stop. But the unfortunate thing is that the mind picks on the negative words that you mention in this example "killing" and "headache"...What you need to focus instead is the ways to get rid of that headache and get healthy again...think about situation where you probably lying on the beach and enjoying yourself free from getting any sort of headache...well if you keep visualising it...then this will manifest back into your life and get rid of your headache.

Last thing is called the "Power of Spoken Words". This is really powerful if you want to attract the right things in your life.If you keep repeating to yourself that for e.g you are a success!!! Then guess what this will manisfest back into your life...in turn your mind take these positive words and goes to work to make it happen.

    Its actually very easy to understand all of this by theory, but the real problem it's actually manifesting and applying this knowledge in practical situations.
    You know, your subconcious mind can'n get anything you're focusing on if your concious mind its refusing it.

    That's why we must use visualizations to recall the feelings and bypass our concious mind.

      Yep...fully agree with what your saying...the difficult part is to get pass your concious mind...

      I agree but think that words are also key. The words you use ultimately determine the direction your life takes. I'm finding it harder to change those beliefs that lead to the patterns that lead to the daily routine so am starting with words.

      Is it silly to ask how to visualize if you find it challenging to do so without the the 'mind chatter'?

        Yeah...your right there kaysa...thts why ive always said "Power Of Spoken Words" is a great thing....the more you affirm your goals to your the more it will manifest in your life...thats how you make little changes in your routine as well..

    Ohh, its a really nice post! I'm recommending you to read "Unlimited Power" from Tony Robbins. He is a real genious! I have read lots of books about NLP and some mind programming things such as Mind Mapping but most of them are not effective like him.

        I personally dont take a shine to tony myself but in regards to all the above, i feel that to bypass the subconscious (on purpose) is as far as my research goes, is via the alpha meditative or relaxed state, the more we practise that the easier it will be to get to the subconscious.

        the greatest tool to use is the visualization with feelings and then to say an affirmation with feeling about 10-20times, time permitting however jose silva in the silva method, suggests saying the affirmation at the same time as the visualization too.

        I feel saying the affirmation with feeling while you are consciously awake and shouting it aloud does work too, but this is my findings so far so what would you all say?

        Also regarding the mind chatter we have and the power of words, ive also found so far that what thoughts we have is basically automatic and controlled by our subconsious minds, therefore changing the image and supporting it with a powerful affirmation deep below is what changes our thoughts then in the day.

        Genevieve behrend says that the exercise of visualization will order our thoughts and bob proctor says that the law of attraction works with our internal paradigms, conditioning or basically our beliefs.

        So whenever they say in the secret movie or others that we should stop what we say and change our thoughts confuses me since its our subconscious we need to alter and as far as i know that is done in a relaxed state, no?

        what do you all think?

            Yes, firstly most ive read say that when you're sat down and close your eyes you immediately start going into alpha. That alone should encourage you that no matter what you do as long as your eyes are closed its a great start, next the more relaxed you get the better, so you must relax every muscle in your body 1 at a time so that you are sure that you are relaxed.

            There are what are known as brainwave entrainment programs, using binaural beat or isochronic beat technology. These are just the terms for the technology used. They tend to have a beat accompanied sometimes with light sounds of a river or nature etc and you listen to these and close your eyes and relax and concentrate on the beats and it will lull you to the alpha states too.

            The key is to actually do this which i have yet to do but first get your visualization clear as to what you want, thats what im realising is key cos i have a vague idea but i need to make it specific cos when i bring it up its not clear enough for me. Other than that its a case of practising more and more and thats what ive learnt so far does that help?

          Hmmm..thanks a lot james for your comments...really very concise...well i believe the relax state method works very well but probably not with everyone...i mean we are all different hence we all adapt to different methods...the things that work perfectly with someone mite not work as perfectly with someone else...but you made a good point in a way to promote the relaxation method in order to as you say bypass the subconcious mind... a lot of people might take your advice on board and try that...as a matter of fact i mite do it myself...But as far as ive experieced myself...the power of affirming things works better for me...and backing that up with visualisation.

            Thank you SniperXwarrior. The secret and what i found with many of the self-development gurus is that they all tend to talk alot and sugar coat what the basic elements are and so far im learning that its the underlying beliefs we must simply change, and by changing that we will take action.

            Im realising that even a manager or successful person will meet a plateau or wall and thus turn to these gurus for help and sure when it comes to time management etc they do have great ideas but again it comes down to beliefs.

            I have tried the affirming in the mirror till im blue in the face technique to very little luck however affirming in the shower at times in my mind or in a whisper has helped, but overall from the thousands and thats what ive read thousands of healing reports of the emile coue in the 1900s to the teachings of troward and then jose silva and joseph murphy and shakti gawain that it all seems to be alot easier albeit essential to get into that relaxed state.

            If the awake state works great, you're true that some things work better than others for varying people but then i wonder since they all say that we access the subconsious better via the relaxed state genevieve behrend says thats its a skill that we all need to practice it. thats the message im getting from other members here too on other posts that its practise then its easy. I should start doing seminars lol

            Im new to all this myself in the point of actually walking the walk but im glad that via this post im surprising myself in my own knowledge and understanding and perhaps you have indirectly helped me to put it all together and to work at it thank you

    One thing I do is visualize as much as I can during the day. And also yell my affirmations in my house. LOUDLY.

    You'll actually change your brain's physiology, actual physical change in my brain. Now my brain will want to have that brain chemistry. Therefore my brain will try to make my affirmations come true.

    That's my theory and I'm doing it every day.

      Yep thats what we meant re programming your mind...but do bear one thing in mind that despite the fact that our brain has been programmed since our the day we were born...we get conditioned to things as time goes by...what i mean is that over time... we do pick up a lot of negativity when interacting with people hence that influences us in a negative way and before we know we are totally conditioned to this way of thinking...and the end result is a negative one as well!!!

        brilliantly said thank you, its reminded me that i heard or read somewhere that our minds are naturally more accustomed to take the negative route as for some reason its easier than to think positively and so it makes sense that as we move along we tend to absorb negative vibes, unless our root programming i guess is positive and we learn to brush away those negative influences, ok im waffling but yeah programming is the key...i better get started lol

          Yeah u defo rite bro...our minds are somehow accustomed to pick up o negative things quicker...thats why u need to train him up the right way so that it only focus on sumfink positive...think abt a soccer team...why do they train before a game...only to work on their positive aspect and in turn get in the habit of practising this positive aspect over and over again so that it becomes part of you...one fing that really works for me is the vision board....try it if you havent and that would be the best advice i can ever give someone...put all your dreams on a vision board and back it up with positive affirmations...and read that aloud every single day first thing in the morning...actually i can post the one ive got pinned on my vision board if that would help...??!

              Hey James..thanks again bro..basically u need o fill your vision board with your goals and inspirational stuffs....but remember your goals shud be a realistic one taking into account you present circumstance...so your the only one who can assess your present condition and make a realistic plan for the future...for instant if someone is penniless at the moment..it wouldnt make real sense for him to post a private jet pic on his vision board rite now...u get my point...?coz its too farfecth....plan short term goals which will bring about quicker outcome...as soon as your first goal is achieved...take it down replace it with bigger goal...this will in turn condition your mind into dreaming BIG all the time....btw have a look at my Power of Spoken Words thread i jst posted...its a cript posted on my vision board which i rad evry morning to boost me up...if that appeals to you..feel free to copy it!!!

    This is so true and thank you for posting this thread. I actually purchased a program called mindmaster which basically flashes images and affirmations at you constantly which helps alter your mind. You install it on your computer and little by little, day by day, your behavior starts to alter. It's great for warriors since we stay in front of the computer all day lol so yeah anything about reprogramming the mind for success, I'm all for it and would love to hear more about it.       hey man you got mindmaster too? has it worked for you?

      what affirmations have you got and images, and how many? hope you dont mind sharing or atleast making something up that is close to the truth simply to get an idea as to how to use it well please

      and also what settings you have it running on and colour etc

        Man let me tell you it does wonders. I've got pictures of clickbank accounts that are loaded, paypal accounts that are loaded, stacks of cash, and people like Brian Tracy, Arnold Schwartzenegger (he's very focused) and some other motivational speakers as well as billionaires that aren't very well known. Just a quick tip: let it run on one program only like Millionaire Mindset or something, don't have like 2 or 3 programs running at the same time otherwise it might not be as effective on your behavior. The mind can only think of one thing at a time, so you want to just FOCUS on becoming 1 thing first and then you can move onto other programs it has like Productivity and whatnot. But yeah the affirmations I use are like: I focus on one thing only, I complete tasks ahead of time, everything action I take brings me closer to my goals, my subconscious mind is now bringing my goals into existence-- stuff like that. Its a lot of stuff lol but yeah it works if you let it run all day for a long while, like a couple of months and you only stay on one program. I don't use any different type of background, I just let the images and affirmations flash randomly on my screen about every 1.8 seconds. And then for the screensaver, I just chose the background with the ocean and the affirmation that appears on that one a lot is Future Consequences From Current Activities. Lol sry this was such a long post, I just wanted to answer your question thoroughly, I hope it helped you out some...

      Thanks for ur comment...i do respect your opinion...but scientific research have confirmed the theory i've described in the article..and the magnet thing is quite right but the focus element that you mention is right too..that makes the mind to fully absorb the things your focussing on...if that makes sense..i hope...
