Taped Affirmations - why?

Hi All

Ive read that we should tape our affirmation, or affirmations into a cassette (mp3 now a days) and listen to it so :

1) why?

2) is it as good as saying and using affirmations with feelings in a relaxed state?

3 The ideas is to listen to these with focus, such as sat down and just focus on it, or to have them playing via headphone as u go about your day without paying attention to them?

    When you listen to an affirmation you are sending a message to your subconscious mind. To be effective, you need to be relaxed and not thinking about what you will be doing later. Let your mind focus on what it is hearing.

    The subconscious mind does not know the difference between truth and fiction. Your affirmations need to be said in present tense...like for example "I am a successful internet marketer". Because your SC mind does not know this is true or not... it acts upon it as though it is. And starts coming up with ways for you to be that success.

    This does sound hokey, but it really does work. For the same reason when we tell ourselves we can't do something... guess what? We'll find out that we can't! Some call this self fulfilling prophesy. Stop telling yourself you can't and start saying I can and I have already done it...

    For this to truly successful, you need to listen to your affirmations daily. Speak them outloud... write them down.. and keep notes on your progress. One of the best time of days to do this exercise is just prior to sleep. By going to bed with a positive thought... your mind will work on that while you sleep and many times have new answers when you awake!

    I have been through hypnosis training and am certified as a hypno-therapist. If people believe in themselves, there is nothing that they can not do.

      Yep, take JamesBuk's advice. It does work, and for the reasons she gives, it works better if you listen to a tape as you're falling asleep, rather than just saying them out loud.

      Also listen when you're doing other things, walking, driving, vacuuming, what ever.

      You have to get past your conscious mind.

      In mean time in reference to your affirmation example, can i use the word NOW, such as : I am now a successful internet marketer? or i am a successful internet marketer? or i am so happy and grateful now that i am a successful internet marketer?

    The use of the word "now" is subliminal in that it makes the mind think action is needed immediately. Bottom line on what to say and how many different affirmations... is use words that you are comfortable with. Most importantly... words that you can accept as truth... because they will be... and in your subconscious mind... it already is!

    I just tape my affirmations on the wall in-front of my toilet. So every morning, when I take a piss, my eyes blurred as hell, I read out loud..

    "I'm successful"
    "Yesterday I made One Grand, Today is going to be the best day"
    ..

    Works great

    What works even better is to mix emotions with your affirmations, like I've done with the second affirmatione. Emotions get much easier access to our subconsciousness mind.
