Bill Gates makes a great statement on a video regarding the 10,000 hours required to become an expert in your field.

My daily dose for to-day when I had to "force" myself to complete something that was dragging on far too long, was to go out into the garden and do 30 minutes work out there and then try and have another go at this obstinate task, I just couldn't seem to obtain the next step forwards on.

I completed the 30 minutes and whilst out there watering the plants and enjoying the late afternoon sun in Spring here, the answers came as clearly as!

So, here I am back at the computer, roadblock gone in ten minutes of typing and now there's heaps of spare time to come visit in here!

Motivation implies an outward force applied and one that needs constant kick starting.

Wouldn't it be better to be Inspired and driven from within?

True inspiration means that you have hooked up with your "true north", your "true self/soul" or whatever people like to call this "inner knower" and you just can't wait to leap out of bed in the morning to serve in the area that you love.

Sometimes you are just reading away and...BOOM!

Something hits you like a bomb and you are impelled/driven from within to take massive action, you can't wait to get into it, you are excited, filled with enthusiasm, which is contagious...

In some circles, that's called a "Rhema Word".
It means a word of truth for you, that breathes life into your inner being to accomplish the task you have been given whilst here.

How cool is that?
Our own inbuilt "Law of Attraction" at work...so easy; only if we search for our own true path.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for ...hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

I always wanted to be in a show, and at age 37 I auditioned for the first time and was cast. in the ensuing 12 years I've been in over 15 shows, two movies, a commercial and now am working part time on set in a tv series. It is never too late to pursue dreams.

Thanks Mary, I'm no film star, by any stretch of the imagination (not even my imagination) but they do think it's cool that I am working on my dreams, and not crying in my cup. too many people have the "I could never do that" attitude and never even try. People are amazing at accomplishing exactly what they think they can. If they think they can never do something, they won't. If they think they can, odds are very strong they will do it. It's all about having a plan and taking action. (and mostly about taking action.)

Obviously, that is a statement for marketers!
