And here is my comment.

Well done, it's a very good target, but you'll NEVER can make it happen if you don't earn 3k/month first, or 50k/month first.
Be realistic, and proof it to yourself, it's a realistic target, Action Speaks Louder Than Words !

    Agreed.

$100,000 a month is a very big goal to make at such an early point for someone whom hasn't reached $3,000 a month.

I've had my days where I have made plenty of cash, but even right now I don't view myself as making $100,000 a month yet.

Last month I made more money than I made in an entire year of working labor, so I know it's definitely possible to get to that point, but I'm aiming for much lower goals.

Instead of aiming for $100,000 a month, how about proving to yourself that you can make $100,000 in a year? That might seem like much less (it's $1,100,000 less actually) but it's probably more realistic.

If you don't reach that goal, so what, you tried, so keep trying.

My goal for this year was $100,000, did I reach that goal? Not yet. But I've had months where I've pulled in more than $16,000. But I've also had months where I've only made around $2,000. It happens, markets fluctuate, niches become obsolete, and things simply change.

Aiming for $100,000 a month in my eyes, would be the same as aiming for $300,000 one month and $60,000 the next. Honestly, I'd be extremely proud of myself no matter what (I already am), but you never know how much money you are going to make on a monthly basis in this world of internet marketing.

Are there ways to make it easier? Absolutely.

Can you build recurring incomes? Sure.

But you never know what's around the corner. So always keep an eye out

Really enjoyed that post Justin. For me now its all a numbers game. I know what stats are gonna produce certain income numbers. Lets say for example I am at 15k/ month. I know there is no way for me to increase that income until my numbers increase. By numbers I am talking about the number potential prospects to my site(s)

It's really interesting to see how different people run their online businesses in their pursuits to earn their "$100,000 a month" and I wish you success in your goals, as you must have made that statement somewhere Raja!

If I was to make a statement like that, I'd have to have had a passionate relationship with stats and ratios for a bit! I love stats and ratios.

I'd have to know that if 100 people would visit a site, how many would opt-in and of that, how many would go on to purchase in the following months etc.

By that I mean, what is the scientific, proven, historical data for average copy on an average product site? There has to be an industry base standard.

Then I'd want to know how many contact times does it take to woo the opt-in people to like and trust me enough to buy, buy more... and buy more often at ever increasing price points?

Is it the same as off line...7 flyer drops, same flyer, 2 weeks apart, to the same people???
Do those 14 week campaigns work online?

What are the up-sell ratios? are they 30%?
    What are the OTO ratios?
    Back-end sales ratios?
Is there always someone who will buy your highest priced product if offered?

All this from a $7 sales funnel...

How many people would have to visit a site to achieve that?
How long does that type of traffic getting take?
How much time or money needs to be invested to achieve that result?

Online it is easier to gather some stats than in the offline world of hit'n'miss newspaper advertising and this makes an online business a very desirous venture, for sure.

So you see, I won't be making that statement...
    for a while yet, anyways!!!

As has been said by Justin, get the smaller amounts steadied up first and then go on to strengthen your efforts.
Awesome goal, I hope you keep us posted on your achievements Raja!

    Kindest...

    Here's something to think about...

WHY do you want 100K (or whatever number it is)?

Money is just money and of no value by itself. It is only good for what you can get and do with it. Once you identify what it is that is driving you, no goal will be unrealistic. In fact, the monetary goals will easily fall by the wayside one after another.

Great Point! "My target is to earn $100k/month so I can quit my job and stay home with my kids in our beachfront mansion in San Diego with a live-in maid and nanny" Now my only question is... did I make my target high enough? : )

Indeed . btw, IMHO, you should ask, "did I make my reason good enough to achieve that goal?"

So here are two more questions:

What feeling will it give you when you get the mansion, maid etc. I ask then because all of the things we want are really just to drive our internal feelings. That's where it really happens. Thinking about this can take some time and effort, but it is well worth it because you will find your secret to self-motivation.

And here's the second question: What would happen right before you get the mansion. And right before that... and right before that... etc. until you get to the present. This will allow you to build a series of goals starting from now that will take you to where you want to go.

And a bonus question: How else can you get the feeling that you identify in question one? This might lead you in an interesting direction.

Justin GREAT post and right on the dot.

The way to succeed here, like anything stable, is to start modest and slowly build up.

If you jump and make all this money in one month out of nowhere, it is a fluke and can go away just as easy. The key is just to build slowly and stably.

Good luck to everyone, hopefully we will all be bringing in the cash soon.
