You can become great by turning your dreams into reality through being more productive and creative. Most successful people will tell you this.
Attaining a great height in life should not remain a dream. If you put in your best, you will definitely succeed. Some are in a hurry to do this and so they look for shortcuts. In the process, they crash. Some others do not know that they have the potentials to make it and so, they employ about half of their capabilities.
Try and discover what you are good at. The next thing is to stay on course no matter the odds. History is replete with stories of people who made it after several attempts...Thomas Edison, Pablo Picasso, Albert Einstein and their likes readily come to mind. They followed their dreams with a passion. If Michael Faraday gave up at the face of failures, who knows what would have happened to electricity. One time president of IBM, Thomas J. Watson once said, "Success lies on the far side of failure".
If you see possibilities before they become obvious, the future belongs to you. Only dreamers with good vision operate in this realm. You must believe in yourself and you must believe in your dreams. Dreams driven by good vision turn ordinary folks into extraordinary people.
No one will be responsible for your failure but you. You must live life on your terms. Sometimes those closest to you may not believe in your dreams. Charles Darwin's father had this to say of him while reviewing his son's academic and career prospects..."You care for nothing but shooting dogs and rat-catching and you will be a disgrace to yourself and all the family". On 5th December 1904, Cesar Cui said, "Strauss can be characterized in four words: Little talent, much impudence". Posterity knows better!!!
Most people who contributed to world civilization were great dreamers. They imagined what their future could be and worked hard daily towards their distant vision. Break the barriers that have held you down and give expression to the endless possibilities bottled up in you.
My dream is to create a successful online/offline business that will enable me retire in comfort. What about you? What's your dream?
