Have you read any Law of Attraction, The Secret Movie or Abraham (I have a question)

(Note - I created this post originally in Sept. of 2011. Since that time I have not even been on this board. I just came back here now in March 2013 and I see that this post is still being commented on, so it's staying on top. That's quite a surprise!

Since the 1.5 years my ideas about this topic "Joyful Accomplihment" have vastly evolved and I have developed inner joy / high vibration methods that are extremely powerful! Go to my sig and do the experiment there. This will transform your life if you do it with an open mind! Thanks Robert)

-------------------------------
(this is what I wrote in Sept 2011)
Have you heard of or are you using any LOA (Secret or Abraham) type teachings? I have been developing something called Joyful Accomplishment and have some questions for you. I am very interested in your opinion (even if you haven't used LOA yet).

I started another thread "Can Deliberate Joyfulness Help You Achieve Goals Faster". Most respondents on the thread agree that one can achieve goals faster using deliberate joyfulness. I highly recommend you should read that thread first: http://www.warriorforum.com/mind-war...ls-faster.html

Now I have come to the realization that certain sites like my "Joyful Fitness" site can be developed to bring people far faster results than LOA alone. I am very interested in what people think about this. (The method can also be used for any of your own projects or goals, such as going full time with IM for example, even if we don't have a site for it. Read this all and follow the link in my sig and it will become clearer. It will be WELL worth it to you because you will have a very powerful method of getting whatever you want.)

I really think that LOA is great and always use it daily. I always notice my feelings and get guidance on whether I am going the right direction that leads to what I want or not. It has helped me tremendously and led me to create the work I am doing now.

However sites like Joyful Fitness bring people far closer to what they want far quicker and I will give you examples of that.

Read the following 2 quotes:

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”,
George Bernard Shaw

“The more I want to get something done, the less I call it work.”
Richard Bach

Now what if a site like Joyful Fitness existed that had all the fitness activities that were truly fun so you felt like doing them for their own sake? That means people forgot they were exercising and did it for fun instead (again, this can be applied to any human activity or goal, fitness is just an example)? What if the site had tons of videos of activities just like that? Do you think this type of site would be useful to people? What if we created lots of sites like that in all areas of human endeavor such as creating a business, or learning to play the piano? Once you actually see Joyful Fitness, this will all become clearer. Follow the link in my sig for that.

What is Joyful Accomplishment? Joyful Accomplishment means doing things for it's own sake because it is fun and joyful. It gets people doing it and doing it and doing it and they get good at it and the results is the next logical step (in LOA terminology). They don't have to think about the results. It just happens. It follows the path of least resistance. That is the way it happened for me too. (Don't worry if you don't understand it. You will once you see the whole thing by following the link in my sig. I will teach everyone the methods for free if they are interested and it will change their life.)

I find that many, many people who tried to implement LOA never got results because they are very results focused and results motivated. (How many of you did LOA to make money or something else that never happened as yet?) They forget the joy of it and are caught up in the resistance of it. Spirit guided me to work on this to put the joy back in so more people can get the breakthroughs they are looking for.

Ekhart Tolle says ”When you are present, when your attention is fully in the Now, Presence will flow into and transform what you do. There will be a quality and power in it. You are present when what you are doing is not primarily a means to an end (money, prestige, winning) but fulfilling in itself, when there is joy and aliveness in what you do.” That is exactly what Joyful Accomplishment is as I have been developing it.

I am a great lover of music of all types. I love Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton in rock. I know their histories and almost all of them wanted to play their own style of music. In the early days of rock they never thought they could make any money. They refused to play commercial music of that era. They wanted to play their own style of non-commercial music. That is what made them legendary, because they loved what they did and developed it into something big. They were passionate. Many people today are just running after money and they have tons of resistances. That is why I was guided to create Joyful Accomplishment. I am creating all types of sites around that using the Joyful Accomplishment methods. I also have an experiment you can do (on any project or goal you are currently working on).

I am interested in what you think about this. I have also set up a Social Media Network to allow people to implement Joyful Accomplishment in their own lives and interact with others. It is in the link in my sig. Thanks.

Hi Robert, that's an interesting marketing idea. As LAO states: positive thinking attracts positive things, but when your emotions are involved, it is then when you get to know the real power of LAO.

Thoughts which are mixed with any of the feelings of emotions, consitute a "magnetic" force which attracts, from the vibrations of the ether, other similar or related thoughts
    - Napoleon Hill (Think and grow rich)

Most people fail here when trying to apply LAO. It's a powerful method from which not only the marketer could get profited, but also the buyer in a significant way.

What if the site had tons of videos of activities just like that? Do you think this type of site would be useful to people?
The videos of activities is a good idea, and it could work. Here is another idea: you could create video games, in which there are levels (eg. level 1: do 20 sit-ups, level 2: do 5 push-ups, etc), it could be timed, and then the player could get a score (based on how well he did in the game (on the timing, and to which level he/she arrived)). It's fun, and rewarding, and the player will be more motivated to improve his last score. He could also set goals (eg. to reach level 6 in 1h). Just brainstorming :-)

Love the brainstorming and the idea of games! Would welcome anyone who feels motivated to add to or help take the projects forward. Critique my site Joyful Fitness for me please. Thanks.

BTW, thanks for calling me Robert. Everyone else calls me Amita who is my wife. How do I change this username? There is no function for changing that that I have found so far. Oh well. Can someone help?

They're some really nice ideas but I have to say I'm not convinced. The LOA orientates metaphysics and since metaphysics is a philosophical invention with no connection to real physics, either quantum or classical, you and everyone else in this thread can pretty much say whatever you want with no scientific way for skeptics like me to respond. I can see benefit in using the LOA ethos to exploit markets that believe it, but I would advise against becoming a market of it yourself (which your thread content suggests to me).

I know I'm new to these forums and probably sound like a "negative" asshole, but these are just my two cents.

I have no problem with skeptical viewpoints like yours. However I am not trying to convince you. It would be futile to try to convince you that Life Force Energy or God or a Higher Power exists. I wrote in the way I do because I know the existence of these things in my experience. And I know there are others who relate because they have the same knowing or experience as I do. I am not going to argue with people who don't have the same viewpoint or knowing or understanding, no offence. I am not trying to go after a market. I am very much part of that group and want to share my deeper understanding with them (many of who are on this forum).

On the other hand, much of what I wrote in my sites is about joyfulness. You can take the LOA or metaphysical part out and it will still work. See all my sites. Use them. They are very practical in nature. See if they work for you if you are motivated.

On top of that, I am really wanting to do an experiment. I want to see how many people's lives are improved using this information. How many people achieve the fitness or abundance objectives or achieve whatever goals they have or feel better where they feel the experience was worth it. I believe it is very practical and lends itself to any level of experimentation.
        Thanks.

I tend to favor, and seek truth, facts, and valid evidence. Since the miss-named law-of-attraction does not fit into any of those categories I dismiss it out of hand.

It is kinda sad to watch people waste a huge amount of time and money on this 21st century voodoo practice. But people sell what people buy.

What I think about this is that basically this thread is a big advertisement for your products which are aimed at loa'ers. That's based on the truth, facts, and evidence I see.

The reason I started this thread is not to sell products but to see what people who believe in loa or positive energy think and see if they would be willing to test out the ideas I have been receiving spiritually and maybe do some experiments (which I plan to make available all results in our forums -- everything will be out in the open for everyone to see). You are welcome to your opinions however I recommend you limit the bashing of other's beliefs. Why don't you start another thread on what people think about loa? There are many on this forum who subscribe to same views as I do.

I have learnt a great deal from the people on this forum which is going to shape my marketing of my group and sites. Isn't that what this forum is for, to interact and grow IM ideas? If the admins tell me what I am doing is wrong, I have no problem in changing it to fit the policies of this forum. Whatever I have done is with the best intentions, to serve people well and I have gotten many thanks from many, many people. Any products that I do promote is to provide TONS of VALUE because that is the ONLY philosophy I subscribe to and live by.

I am mostly promoting several Amazon products on my sites that fit in with the core philosophy of Joyful Living Group and that can take people further in the goals they want to achieve. For example, here are some good examples of Amazon products I have on my sites. See the videos below.

These products fit in with the central philosophy of doing things for purpose of enjoyment. I really want people to get results and am giving them tons of ways they haven't thought of and I provide tons of activities they can do for free without having to buy a thing. Is there anything wrong with what I am doing? If so, please point it out to me because I don't have a clue. Thanks.

Let's see how this works. You asked for our thoughts but when they don't agree with yours, oh well. Hmm... maybe you should run for political office here in the US. If the facts don't backup your claim, blame the problem on somebody else.

Do you have any idea how flaky that sounds?! Would you even dare to talk like that in a job interview? Or in a high-dollar presentation to a group of potential clients?

Ah yes, once we receive your go ahead and initial payment, we send our intention out to the universe. At the point we start receiving ideas spiritually, we begin work on your project...
The real world doesn't work that way!

Let's leave the flakes to biscuits, piecrust, and Tony the Tiger.

I don't care about your belief structure. I don't care about the loa or who believes in it.

What I do care about is the people who come to these forums looking to start or advance their 'net businesses. Some of them will get sucked in to this time consuming, money wasting belief system which has no facts or evidence to back it up. This will lead them and their resources away from their initial goal with their businesses.

That's my beef with loa. It distracts people from the successes they could be enjoying.

Here's the best video I've found that explains the Law of Attraction.

This is not my quote. Where did this quote come from? When you are mixing
the above quote with other quotes that I wrote that confuses people. And you did not state where you got the above quote from either or who said it. This is not the way I think so please don't do that to me. That is not right.

                ---------------------------

Joe, I read what you wrote and I understand your intentions are well meaning.
You don't want people to waste time with a belief system that in your mind doesn't work. In fact, Joe, in the end, you and I are trying to do the very same thing, trying to get people some good results.

But you should allow others to have different perspective and belief systems than you have. There are many, many people, large numbers on this forum with varying degrees of success in IM who believe in loa or positive energy and experience it daily in their lives. In fact what you are feeling about loa, you can apply to books such as Think and Grow Rich, Science of Getting Rich, or to Life Force Energy, or CHI, God, Prayer. There is no proof in your mind that any of these things exist so are you going to fight or argue with everyone who mentions these things or claim that they are being benefitted by them? Are you going to put your post in the middle of a thread stating they should stop the thread now because in your mind that thread shouldn't exist or should be banned because it is only for the purpose of money? Why don't you do the same thing on sites of Dr. Joe Vitale (who is an accomplished IMer and was in the Secret movie), Jonathan Budd, Katie Frieling, Tony Robbins, and ??? (there are some really big names in the IM world but I can't think of their names right now) who have different thinking than you do.

Joe have you read what I wrote? I know you haven't even gone to any of my sites. I can tell. So how do you know whether I am providing real value or not? How do you know my stuff can't be tested or experimented? (That is exactly what I plan to do to provide real evidence) Have you read the previous thread I started on deliberate joyfulness? Have you seen what others are saying and how almost 100% are agreeing that deliberate joyfulness is a great concept that can bring people wonderful fast results to people in whatever they want to achieve?

Do you have any idea how flaky that sounds?! Would you even dare to talk like that in a job interview? Or in a high-dollar presentation to a group of potential clients?
No I am not applying for a job. Regarding my stuff coming spiritually, I am in good company. A lot of things we take for granted today such as electricity AC/DC current, light bulb came that way from people such as Nikola Tesla. (people think Edison invented the light bulb, it was really Tesla who was working for Edison but Edison took credit for it) People don't realize where this stuff came from. (Plus in my understanding all the great, great works of humanity such as Picasso, Mozart came from a similar place in a similar way -- they were great chanellers of energy. I believe in and have experienced Higher consciousness, you don't. Let's just leave it at that.)

What I do care about is the people who come to these forums looking to start or advance their 'net businesses. Some of them will get sucked in to this time consuming, money wasting belief system which has no facts or evidence to back it up. That's my beef with loa. It distracts people from the successes they could be enjoying.
Again, you have seen nothing of what I wrote. You have no idea what I am writing about. Even the post above your initial post who was the skeptical guy from UK said that I was making some very good points that were making sense to him but he was still skeptical. He was wanting to understand better. But you came in wanting to ban my posts saying it's a big ad.

Again, there are tons and tons of people on this forum and outside who believe in loa, God and Life Force Energy or Higher Power. They are not all dumb Joe. They have a different experience, perspective and understanding than you do.

But still, people sell what people buy.

                Joe Mobley
The reason I am going to keep writing what I am writing is not to sell stuff but to give people real results they deserve. To provide incredible value. That is the best philosophy I believe in and live by Joe, to provide incredible value that people can put to use right away. Of course one must make money to keep on going on and providing value. I recommend you read Science of Getting Rich (free online) and I recommend you read some of my stuff. Read it and then junk it if you want if it is no use to you. I wish you the best Joe.

By-the-way Tony Robbins is NOT a fan of the Secret. But when the facts are of no concern, throwing names around is a pretty common practice.

I've just started getting into IM and I'm so excited that I can barely contain myself. I'm currently reading Think & Grow Rich which deals with a lot of what you're talking about. Also another personal thing that I think helps me a ton is music. In the morning I have a nice cup of coffee and put my headphones on and listen to good upbeat music. I feel that for me this kind of sets the tone for the rest of the day. It gets the ball rolling in a positive direction so to speak. Anyway, I just thought I'd chime in!

That is wonderful! Thanks for the post. Think and grow rich was one of the books that started the positive energy thinking along with Science of Getting Rich (which you can read free online). SOGR was written by an American named Wally Wattles over 100 years ago. Great book! Thanks for sharing your love of music as well. I hear music from all around the world now. Good luck with your IM career!

Try out our visualization experiment on your IM goal! Let me know how it goes.

Also, you could add a section where users can share their success stories, it might inspire others.

BTW, thanks for calling me Robert. Everyone else calls me Amita who is my wife. How do I change this username? There is no function for changing that that I have found so far. Oh well. Can someone help?
You can put a request into the Help Desk and they will change it for you:

It may take a couple of days after you request it.

All of that is coming in the future. I have been at this for a couple days. The thread you are reading right now has had around 700 views in 2 days. I haven't put this info anywhere else as yet even though I intend to. There are just a handful of people who know about this as yet. I know this stuff works. It has changed my life. It has been working in many different areas of my life for quite some time.

I have to allow Spirit or God or LOA to bring things in it's own time. I know that Esther Hicks shared her info with tons of people in her circle for about a year before it became big. I encourage people to try out the simple visualization experiment on the site and report results!

Usually I'm quite amazed by all those who make a statement about Law Of Attraction. If you understand its very core, it's not voodoo at all. It is both deep and simple. Deep for those who are not interested and simple for those who are eager to understand how life works.

But whether you believe it or not. It is all up to you.

I am a big believer in the law of attraction. I think the movie the Secret makes it out to be more about some magical thing bringing you success, but seriously if you think you can just think your way to success that can't happen. You have to take action to make your thoughts become things. For example, my wife and I visualized living near the beach in South Carolina for years. We made plans and took trips to make our goals more real. We did vision boards (see How to Create a Vision Board - YouTube ) and eventually got a truck and moved. We live ten minutes from the beach and are pursuing our lives and paying most of our bills through online efforts. But everything was the results of making thoughts become things through action.
Second example. I wanted to be an improv comedian. I searched for auditions, thought about what I wanted to do, applied to train at Second City, got a scholarship to go there and eventually started performing professionally. I can tell you LOA works if you put in the effort.

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.",
    George Bernard Shaw

"The more I want to get something done, the less I call it work."

Ekhart Tolle says "When you are present, when your attention is fully in the Now, Presence will flow into and transform what you do. There will be a quality and power in it. You are present when what you are doing is not primarily a means to an end (money, prestige, winning) but fulfilling in itself, when there is joy and aliveness in what you do." That is exactly what Joyful Accomplishment is as I have been developing it.

Thanks.
This is pure, unadulterated BS. If wishful thinking worked, we would all be rich tomorrow and all our yesterdays of failure and sorrow would disappear like the driven snow.

I have heard some of the LOA stuff, but I don't think that the universe has anything to do with success or anything like that. However, I do believe that having the right attitude, mindset and drive will take you closer to success especially if you are joyful in what you're doing.

Taking joy in what you do will drive you closer to success because you enjoy what you're doing and if you enjoy what you're doing, then you will want to do more of it which will bring you closer to your goal.

The universe can't make decisions, nor can it do anything to help you to reach your goals. It is a non-living object and nothing else.

One other thing that can bring you closer to your goal is to associate yourself with like-minded individuals who also have the same goals in mind, and who are also on their way of accomplishing them, or have already accomplished them.

The universe is whatever we decide to make it out to be. It's like a mirror. Frown at it and it frowns right back. Smile at it and it smiles back. The trick is to be consciously aware of the input that you are giving it.

Sometimes I think the 'Secret' isn't exactly Law of "Attraction", but what I would call Law of PASSION. Which simply means to go out and do what you love to do, with the utmost passion. When you are working from a place of passion and enthusiasm, the universe always supports and nourishes it. I can say for sure that this works wonders.
