"The True Definition Of Hard Work ..."

I'd be the first to say that succeeding at "IM" does take some work. Some of it can be difficult, and you have to be determined etc.

However, relatively speaking, I don't think it's "hard work" at all. See, I think hard work = Sitting at some boring desk doing menial work (for 5 decades) making someone else rich ... Then all you have to show for it at the end of the day is some crappy pay check which isn't even enough to live on.

Now that's hard work. : )

Go out there and make the most of this amazing opportunity to be "successful."

This is only my definition...Hard Work: diligent, focused energy directed toward a specific goal. When this is manual labor it may produce perspiration and tired muscles and satisfaction at a job well done. When the labor is more mental it may produce frustration, disappointment or excitement and elation with it's successful completion.

I've never heard the term, "soft work". But if there is such a term I suppose it would mean looking for an easier way, or something for nothing attitude.

Cool. I like that definition. I think finding the “quickest” route to success can actually be a good (and intelligent) thing. However, I don't agree with getting something for nothing.

Thanks for the contribution David. : )

It all depends on how you look at things. Is the glass half full or is it half empty?

I agree, Hard Work is when,
      we have inner conflict..

We have a goal we want, but
what we have learned in the past,
doesn't allow us to achieve our goal..

So we do a lot of work but,
      only see a little progress..

I too have spent many years building
      dreams for my bosses..

I cannot do it anymore, it is better,
for my self esteem that I have a go
at building my dream and fail, rather
than keep building the dreams of others..

You're right about it's boring to sit behind a desk all day.. But IM can also be very boring sometimes... But as you say you just need to find out some amazing to work with, and then the interest will come along. It's only a few percent who succeed online; Because they give up to early..

the hard work you should be doing .. is not so hard for you but look really hard to everyone else ..football players spend about 200 hours of preparing ..for every 1 hour of performance and it sure looks hard to everyone else ..

when the going gets tough the tough are right where they belong ..

there is hard work and there is hard work ..doing work on your self to make your self much better is the hardest work of all ..
