Introduction into Personal Achievement

Our family insurance agent introduced me to Earl Nightengale and "The Strangest Secret", in 1956. I was sixteen at the time and he thought it would be a good primer to get me acquainted with an important life lesson.

It was the beginning of a life long desire for continued learning in personal achievement. It was one of the most important messages I have ever heard. Since then I've listened to it countless times and am enriched anew with each exposure.

So I was wondering if you would share who was your first and most important person or book or recording that opened the world of personal achievement to you?

    Hi David

I listened to that recording not too long back and enjoyed it too.

There are a few programs that were game-changers for me. The first one that made an impression was something that I borrowed and listened to on tapes in the car. Sadly, I can't remember the name of the program or the fellow who produced it.

However the second program that impacted me was Jack Black's Mindstore and the third was The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
