Hello - I'm new here!

Hello there,
I can't find an introductions section, so excuse me if I've put this in the wrong place.

My name is Nick, I'm 18 and just finished high school. I love business and making money, it's been my passion since posting flyers for my car washing service when I was nine and selling 100 refurbished ipod's for profit on ebay in the space of two months when I was thirteen years old. Now that I've finished school I want to become the richest, illest, mofocker on the planet and do the philanthropy thing on the side

Anyway, what I am aiming for now is to make enough to live on my own and eventually earn enough before I'm 21 to take 6 of my friends on an all-expenses first class holiday in summertime around the world.

The way I see achieving these dreams is through running a ultra successful money making machine. The bad thing is, over the last five years I've created about a dozen projects and could not produce a consistent income on any of those ventures. I don't think it's because of bad products, but because I am a 'bad marketer'. From adwords to facebook ads, nothing ever seems to work!

I will stop at nothing to achieve my dreams, but I really need some help. How do I become this thing I invision? How did you guys become newbies to pro's? tips?

I just bought an kindle and I want to read and learn as much as I can so I can become a millionaire and beyond. I have read a few already like jay conrads books, guerrilla marketing, e-myth, etc What do you recommend?

Would love to hear from you guys and I aim to be a super-active member on this forum until I reach my goals.

    Hi Nick,

    Welcome to the WF.

    For me, what made the difference was FOCUS.

    When I first started on IM, I spend almost 2 years researching, testing, and learning, but making almost no money.

    When I decided to stay focus on one business model and started working only on it, things started to change and soon I was making an steady income online.

    My suggestion:
    • stay focus
    • take it as a real business
    • set goals and strategies
    • work hard
    • be persistence and patience
    • learn form your errors

    You are in the right place. This forum has a lot of great information that you can use to build your knowledgebase. You started doing the right thing by reading books on subjects that will help you to be successful in business.

    One good book I recommend you read is "The Millionaire Mind" by Thomas Stanley. It will give you the right perspective on how millionaires live their lives. I am pulling for you bro.

    You should worry more about taking consistent well thought out actions in your online ventures rather than reading and over reading material that you probably do not need.

    In my opinion, being successful online is more about taking action than it is about learning everything you can in order to make it online. You should look for a successful online business and model your own business after it. Start building it and every time you hit a speed bump that requires more knowledge to proceed, take the time to learn it (or outsource it) and then continue building your business.

    You can either choose to spend the next 3 years trying to find a way to make money and trying many different things left and right or you can dedicate to one business plan and see it through to the end. It takes a lot of hard work and patience to get to where you want to be. But it is worth every second.

    3 years is a long time and you can make a lot of big things happen in that time if you are persistent.

      But how do I find this one business model to replicate?

      I did copy a business model for a web design business, but the market is so bloody overcrowded

      How or where can I find how to replicate a successful business model of a service product in a growing trend which in a few years will get me that million dollars + I want?

    when I joined I did exactly the same as you,The big boys in this industry help one another so I suggest you join the war room which is where the big boys are or put your products on sites that already have traffic such as e junkie or tradebit or even create a wso if the product would appeal to the warrior forum.Failing all that it comes down to traffic creation,First page on google etc.If you need any help please contact me.     Abraham Lincoln once said "If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend the first seven sharpening the axe."

    On the other hand, Luke Skywalker went to fight Vader before he finished sharpening his and got his arm chopped off.

    My point is this: IM is not a make money quick gig.

    Set a very clear specific goal for yourself then go at it with consistent laser focus, and consume every piece of information that can help take you there and block everything else completely out of your vision.

    Realize the importance of learning, and that failing is the best way to learn.

    Don't succumb to the common newbie syndrome of hopping from one shiny new product to the next.

        I think it's also relevant to ask the question, "What am I interested in?"

        I would focus on an area that interests you, whether it be travel, hobbies, marketing, self improvement etc.

        And as a previous poster said, focus and persistence. "Get Rich Quick" rarely happens for most of us.

        By the way, we are living in a time when most people are just struggling to make ends meet. So while wanting to become a millionaire is a noble goal, perhaps you should have a shorter term goal of just being able to make a decent living online that would allow you the type of freedom that those in a day job don't have.

    You have no idea how many times I've heard a story similar to yours and not just about IM but about offline businesses and inventors, too.

    It seems there are many more creative ideas in people's heads then there are the consistency, persistence, focus and dedication to get ONE product to market and making a profit.

    You CAN do it.

    You need to find one method and stick to it and build a business. This may take a month or a year.

    Don't be taken in by the headlines to buy this ebook or software that says you will make a million in a week. It doesn't work that way.

    If it did, no one would be in this forum.

    Join the War Room to get all the free info in there.

    Read, read and read until you have a method and a plan that you can stick to no matter what it takes without getting distracting to another way.

    Whatever method you use, also, build a list so that you can create an asset.

    Welcome to the WF Nick! I'm 18 too, you may want to explore the forum if you haven't and learn about the different sections of it where you can make money, from CPA to article writing. But you'll find this piece of advice all over the forum: Build a list of e-mails that you can market to in the long term.

    I suppose you're reading books about business and investing (as your goal is to become a millionaire, which is mine as well lol). But do you know how to reach that point? I mean, you have to choose your vehicles and stick to them until they bring you there.

    The fact that you're in this forum, you might heard about Internet marketing and make money online. It definitely is a good starting point. As online businesses don't cost you an arm and a leg to start. Yet the potential income is high.

    But it will takes time, effort, consistency and vision from you in exchange. There are many ways to make money online. But I suggest you go and do some research until you find yourself a favorite.

    I'm 5 years older than you, but I think we have the same desire for success. I began my online venture almost a year ago. And after 10 months of reading, practicing, then reading and keep practicing, I made my first $75 last September lol. It wasn't a million dollars, but it was a big milestone for me. Because I know it works and I can do it.

    My formula is (affiliate marketing + SEO) = $$$

    Nothing fancy, very structured in its core. But to make it work, you have to learn a lot However, I believe that you have the desire and the motivation to overcome those obstacles. Like you, I want to do big things that are worth doing in my life. This is just the first step. Ways to go buddy!

    Marlon Sanders, The king of step-by-step-internet-marketing, says the money is in the list and he's right. very important to start building your email list. How?

    1. Find a starving market.
    2. Give away something for free for their name and email address
    3. Provide good information they want
    4. Create your own product
    5. promote your product
    6. rinse and repeat

    Really though, you need to find a good mentor that you can follow. Someone who is successful and follow what they do.

    Try starting with one niche with one high-level strategy and then focus. Once you have mastered it, you can start expanding both. Otherwise it's easy to try and chase everything that is being thrown your way (opportunities and strategies) and you will end up being spread too thin and probably not accomplishing your goals

    No buddy, I'm doing it all myself. And another thing is, all of my tools are free. I'm gonna add a paid tool soon. It's kind of a self-employed business But I will automate it as much as possible when the money comes in. Because that's the way to run a real business.
