Hello windows users !

Assuming, it takes half of seconds to move your mouse to go to Desktop on your PC.

An, assuming, you are going to your Desktop 1000 times per month.

Also, assuming you are using computer for 30 years of your life time.

That's mean, it took 3000 minutes for you to go to Desktop.

Now, what will you say, if I can tell you how to go to Desktop, in less that 0.1 second?

Will you listen to me?
And, this trick don't involve any money at all !

What it is?

It's a shortcut for you to go to desktop by hitting.

Windows logo + D

ps : I don't know you. But, most of my recent important files are located at Desktop, so I've to go there every time I want to finish up my work.

Hope this help a little

Regards;
Raja Kamil

That's cute. I'm going to use AutoHotKey to assign it to an icon since I can't remember which program Win+D actually runs hehe.

I never used to use keyboard shortcuts, but I am starting to. I'll be adding this to the list. usually to get to the desktop I am minimizing four to six programs, so this one will definitely save some time. Thanks!

as a writer I am using CTRL C (copy) and CTRL V (paste) all the time.

Hope it help you a lot. Once I started knowing about this, most of the time, I'll use the shortcut to go to Desktop.

Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V is a great shortcut for windows.

Another shortcut that might help for writer also is

      Ctrl + Y = undo
      Ctrl + Z = redo

You can also pin it to the bottom of your screen. Then it's a single click away.

    • not sure if relevant, but hope everybody is well.

do you think that your physiological state affects your perception?
do you think the slower your metabolism, the faster time appears to go?

have you experienced as you got older time flys.

for example, when you were in grade school summer vacation was a long time and now 3 months is nothing?

research : as we age, metabolism slows, and we then perceive time as increasing.

      experience every minute you can.

I'm in my 50's and when I look at 10 years now, I see it as 3,650 days!

that is nothing! let us all count are minutes and our blessings!

Ctrl + Left Click (mouse) = Open new tab/windows (in the background)

Better solution... Buy a macbook pro... 4 finger swipe up right to the desktop.

My macbook pro is so much more efficient than my windows laptop I use for work. </end advertisement>

You could also put up an icon on your desktop of the folder where you put your files in.

That could also save you time.

Very good share. I forgot all about those.

CTR + T is definitely an assist. But CTR + click on link, could actually save people from right clicking, then scrolling down to "open in new tab/window" and then clicking, so I definitely think that ones a winner
