Do You Intend For Your Circumstances or Create Them With Your Attention?

It's so powerful to really acknowledge the distinction between intention and attention.

So often, we declare and intend for manifesting our dreams… then our attention becomes seduced by our present circumstances.

Not too long after making the intention for prosperity do we often start thinking about debt, the high cost of healthy living and the fear surrounding our economy.

Remember, your attention is the words you’re speaking, the thoughts circulating through your mind and the appearances that capture your eyes.

If you want abundance and are telling stories about lack, your attention trumps your intention.

It’s so important to keep your attention acutely attuned to the feeling place of your intentions.

If you allow the appearances and circumstances playing out in your reality to seduce your attention, you will endlessly keep recreating what you don’t want… all the while convincing yourself that you’re trying so hard to intend for what you do want.

You’re a master at manifestation. Yet when our intentions get lost in the unconscious reactions of our attention and stories, it’s so easy to say “this manifestation crap is nonsense.”

Your reality is always in a state of Becoming where your attention is RIGHT NOW!
  • What stories are you talking about?
  • What appearances are capturing your attention?
The holiday season is a miraculous time for many people. It’s also a time of immense stress and feeling like you’re not going to be able to create the abundance you need to buy the gifts you so passionately want to give…

So...

...Ask yourself:
What does it feel like to know your bills are paid, you’ve got a bountiful selection of healthy food in the fridge and you have all the money you need to buy the gifts you’re looking forward to giving those you love?

Now, can you keep your attention there, even in the midst of dealing with everything in your reality that isn’t in harmony... while it dissolves or falls away?

Getting rich and creating REAL financial freedom is less about intending for it as it as is knowing what it feels like and disregarding WHATEVER IS until it DISAPPEARS!

Excellent points! This is precisely what I've done to shape my current circumstances. My experiences over the years has shown me that manifestation is absolutely real.

I like to look at it this way: "Energy flows where your focus goes, and what you focus on expands". Therefore, by focusing your attention on what you want, you'll be headed that way, as opposed to focusing on what you don't want (i.e. bills, debts, etc).

    Thanks for posting!

      Absolutely Jason!

The trick for people who aren't happy with their current circumstances is to APPRECIATE the hell out of them, rather than judge them.

Everything we create is the manifestation of our attention.

When we judge our circumstances, it widens the illusion of separation between the observer and the observed.

Worse yet, judgment gives away your power... to what IS your power being demonstrated.

In other words, you can't judge a lack of income and get more money.

However, when you appreciate the creation of lack, you begin to dissolve the charge you have about it... which opens up your energy (and attention) for more abundant reflections in your experience.

That's why you NEVER need to intend for anything...

...You simply need to clear away the limiting beliefs preventing you from witnessing those circumstances.

On an energetic level, one creation is no better than another.

Lack is just as amazing as abundance.

Sure, it doesn't FEEL that way when you're giving away your power...

...But when you can appreciate the illusion of lack, without the agenda to create more money... your limiting beliefs organically dissolve and ALLOW for more abundance to SHINE THROUGH...

        Awesome stuff!

I like what you said about appreciation, it's like another way of saying being grateful for what you have, not for what you don't have

Appreciation applied to lack may seem odd, but I know it works! I prefer to do the reverse, by focusing on what one already. This puts me in a better mood (and therefore my attention is on something positive).

Additionally, if it is the case that we created our lack, then we can create our own abundance, by redirecting all our attention on thoughts of abundance.

And this includes avoiding negativity at all costs, whether spoken by you or another, or from some other outside source. (i.e. garbage in, garbage out). And therefore it's a good idea to stop watching evening news, for example

This fits neatly along your idea that 'attention is the words you’re speaking, the thoughts circulating through your mind and the appearances that capture your eyes.'

I made it a habit to avoid saying certain phrases to myself like, "I can't afford it" (technically I shouldn't have even written this, but you get my point). So instead of saying something like that which focuses one's attention on lack/limitation, I use "I'm coming up with a way to pay for this", which is focusing attention on greater possibilities.

It's simple, yet so powerful. When I listen to people talk about their finances, I hear words like, "the economy sucks, jobs aren't available, it's hard to make money, I'm struggling". It's all a symptom of paying too much attention to negativity, yet by merely questioning it and shifting one's attention, greater possibilities start to open up to us. Using the principles we've discussed, I manifested a rather large sum of money (a bit less than $10k) roughly 2 months ago.

This stuff is totally real, and the major key for me was to shift all my attention away from 'present circumstances' to focus on what I wanted. Of course it's a bit more complicated than that, but merely taking all the attention off the seemingly negative circumstances has done me wonders.

Over the past 5 years, I spent close to $10,000 on self-help products, seminars, conferences, etc and I never experienced amazing manifestations until recently. Everything I learned benefited me, but it wasn't until I realize the importance of focusing attention away from negativity and stubbornly focusing on the positive did I have such a breakthrough. And the most practical way I did that was by changing my words to reflect the types of words spoken by a wealthy person.

Ultimately, all of this stuff points to our realization of who and what we are, but that's for another topic/forum LOL

Attention IS the key. You get what you put your dominant attention on.

Your dominant attention causes your dominant emotions (worry, fear, lack of, not enough or plenty, happiness, joy, abundance).

and your dominant emotions emit constantly your dominant vibration which attracts all to you.

Most people wish and hope for something better than where they are and then immediately, without them even wanting it to happen, all the past lack, loss and resistance comes up.

It takes practice to intend something, want it and actually be able to think, feel and believe that you already have it.

When you can feel the feeling of happiness and joy "as if" you already have what is wanted, that feeling will vibrate out and attract that what is wanted.

    :-)

I will add, even the top mentors and authors have mentors.

We all need reminding of this often because it is "normal" for people to operate by default as if they have no control over what happens to them.

That is why I get daily help in my email from Home of Abraham-Hicks Law of Attraction -- It All Started Here! and Kathy Hadley Life Coach

One of my mentors basically told me the same thing but used the phrase 'dominant thought'. The idea is to create a new dominant thought which is essentially what we are talking about here. Of course there are some distinctions between emotions and thoughts, but I couldn't agree more with what you shared as it really points to the same thing

Just thought I'd go off on a tangent here: What I've discovered is that these top mentors are really no different from us. They just happened to position themselves in a way in which people go to them for help. We were all once babies that cried and pooped. There is this notion that somehow mentors/gurus are somehow special, when in fact they are really no more capable than we are. If anything, these people reveal to us what we can actually do.
