What is oto and why and i getting denied on a few WSO's?

I'm new, what is OTO?

Also, I've applied to a few WSO's and been accepted. However, I've been denied for a few others that I really believe my data base could use. Any insight on why this happens? Is there some back office tracking that would tell the WSO vendor that I am new and haven't made any sales yet? Not sure what to do....would appreciate any insight...

OTO stands for one time offer. This is giving people a chance to purchase a product at a lower price and is generally a one time offer, it is a marketing technique.

When you say you have applied to some WSO's do you mean to be an affiliate for people's WSO's? If you are being denied maybe it is because you are new, I would contact them directly and sell yourself to them, letting them know why they should let you be an affiliate.

Hey Duncan, Having been someone who has sold WSO's, I can tell you the reason you're most likely being denied is that you only have a few posts. When selling WSO's if someone only has a couple posts we tend to deny them because we know nothing about them and don't know if they are trustworthy or if they will spam people and put our pay pal accounts at risk.

WSO = "Warrior Special Offer". That's the products promoted by warriors in the respective forum category.

I'm really tired of offers that contain products that rarely live up to the hype. You never know if the people flogging the products are affiliates or not (I'd guess they mostly are). In any case, it's rather shoddy to be offered something that's pitched as the best thing since sliced bread, only to be offered an OTO once you get in the sales funnel that actually makes the product useful. That ten dollar offers turns into a hundred dollar offer! Happens on ClickBank all the time, too bad the Warror Forum doesn't require that offers containing an OTO be spelled out in advance. Of course then a lot of us would just move on. I suppose that's the act the seller wants to prevent.

Duncan if you feel your list could benefit from a WSO, you may have better luck sending the WSO author a note explaining exactly how you plan to promote their product. A little personalization goes a long way, especially since you are relatively new to the forum.

Hi, I am a newbie here too. I understand the literal meaning of OTO "one time offer" but I have seen on many posts where older members ask if there is an OTO to the product, which makes me think that they will get an OTO after they buy the product. Is there anything like that or is it just a straight forward one time offer that will only last a certain period of time? Sorry I know this sounds a little silly but am trying to understand. Thanks

An OTO is a special form of the upsell/downsell. As far as I understand, its called an upsell when it costs more than the original prouct, and vice versa.

I often buy a Warrior Forum Special Offer, and by the time I get around to accessing my purchase (which is usually around 25 days after I buy) the OTO is either closed, or if it was a dimesale, it is outragously expensive. All I can do is regret my procrastinating ways...

Hi PeakPeromance, Just curious, why would a special offer take so long to access? Is it not available immediately?

No, no it is not the offer, it is me. I have never had any technical problem accessing a wso. But I seem to end up browsing wso forum for new shiny objects instead of actually using the ones I already got! I am addicted to wso's, and buy way more than I need, around 150 so far. So around the time the 30 or 60 day guarantee expires, I will make a desperate attemtp to find out if I actually need it. I hope at some point to reach a thresold of learning, where I make a living, and feel that I don't need any more information products.

Oh! I see! My apologies Sir. I was a little confused there. When I started researching into internet marketing a little over a month ago, I spent almost $2000 in a week and bought some get rich schemes that I promptly got frustrated with because I couldn't even set them up and there was little to no support at all. So then I decided to get a coach and I have partaking in Dean Holland's 4 week Quick start challenge. I don't know if you have heard of it but if you think you are not doing well I would advise you to take a look into his program. He got me started from scratch and now I have like almost 150 unique visitors to my site in just 3 weeks and growing. If you like you can visit my site. You can see I am still a newbie as I am still tweaking and adjusting things around but I think I have gone far in just 3 weeks. Hope it helps. My link is below. Thanks for you comments.

Yes I see a lot of people being denied only because they are not known and the WSO provider does not want his stuff spammed out.
