The #1 quality for success

Hey warriors, I read pretty much all the classic success literature as well as studied the biographies of the most wealtiest people on the planet. They all have their similar qualities such as charisma, passion, faith, imagination, contribution orientated, ambition, etc. The qualities can go on and on. Sometimes it causes conflicting drives because different qualities work better for different people simply because it's obvious that we all have different personalities. This means some qualities are capitalized more because it fits different personalities. I have came to the conlusion of the most important quality of all. I believe it's perseverance simply because everytime you fail you tend to learn and see patterns of what works and what doesn't work. I believe perseverance is the most imporant quality. Of course there are many others but I believe perseverance is what seperates the average from the elites. What do you believe is the strongest quality for success and why? I am interested to seing the different answers.

I think perseverance combined with smart action. If an action is taking you away from a desired goal change that action until it moves you toward it.

      Agree.

This is actually one of the reasons I like the "famous company" slogan "Just do it". Simple - yet it has a lot of things to think inside.

    Hi Selfmadetycoon,

strongest quality to success: Use a bit of spacing in your text
    Just kidding. :p

Perseverance is one of the top qualities- however before "perseverance" comes "getting things started", so I believe the ability to get out and DO something, at all (and THEN stick to it) is #1.

Not a native speaker, don't ask me how you would call that in English

    Cheers,
    Rob

I have been teaching personal development courses for years and while there is no "one" quality but my top two is intention which is different from commitment and responsibility. If a victim gets committed they just end up victimized.

I agree with the quote by Calvin Coolidge: Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

I think the strongest quality for success is having imagination.

A lot of people, like for example you might tell your friends about internet marketing and all of the different things you can do, and 99% of people will look at you like you're crazy.

And even if they do believe you they just dont really care, because this type of stuff just isnt accepted by them as reality.

People are so programmed to want to go to school and sit at a desk that certain things just cant be accepted.

So if you can have the imagination to actually picture in your mind you doing awesome things then nothing can stop you, because the fact that you can picture it means that you realize its possible.

I agree perseverance and learning from your mistakes can help create success. You have to take action and make sure you don't make the same mistakes twice, you can only learn through trial and error.

I'd agree with perseverance. My old college used to have that as its motto: "Perseverance conquers all, God willing," and I sort of absorbed it! You also sometimes have to be willing to get a little angry. When people say, "You can't do it," you have to be able to go, "Oh yeah? I'll show you!" and then do it. Cause doing it is the best revenge!
