Business or Personal? Who Is your Hero and Why

Being the inspirational page, I thought why not find out who has a Hero or a Mentor they would like to mention. Who knows your story may inspire someone else.

For me, I would say that God seems to have placed several people in my life along the way for whatever stage I was at, Increasing slowly both to stretch and grow me.

When I was a teen there was a man who took me under his wing to feed the importance of who I am and the importance of others no matter what position they were in.

Young adult years 19-23 a series of individuals at various jobs I wondered in and out of. There always seemed to be an old person who came up to me who did not know who I was. They always said the same thing "Son what are you doing here. You know inside you, you are meant for bigger things."

In my early business career 23-35 a series of business men who had no time but to make money, picked me out of the crowds and took me under their wings to teach and test me. Those were the years of stretching and shaping with lots of success and stories.

The last 5 years my hero's and mentors are still here and business is better than ever. I now have opportunities to be a mentor for others and give back after obtaining success.

My full story really is a book but maybe this thread will provide enough small stories to help someone.

What is your story? Who is your hero or mentor? Personal or Business.

I wouldnt call him a hero, but Tim Ferriss (author of the 4 hour work week) got me from living a lazy good-for-nothing slacking student lifestyle, to creating many businesses (offline and online) resulting in 5 digit monthly incomes.

Of course there were other people along the way like Frank Kern and Rich Scheffren, but Tim got the ball rolling. Highly reccomend reading his books and his blog.

    Sincerely, Buyseech

Business - T Harv Eker; Tim Ferris; success stories on inc.com, warrior forum, ********** - sometimes the experiences on these sites sound very achievable and they are good to get inspired; and finally looking at Flippa sales

Personal - Lord Buddha, Rhonda Byrne, Superman & Lex Luther (yeap both of them!) and myself!

Og Mandino- His work was the turning point in my life, and today sharing it is almost the "point" of my life.

A few boys / men impacted my earlier years with various types of life lessons, and I hope that I have tried to follow in their footsteps to some extent.

Eugene A and Fred D from High School who taught me to treat everyone the same, regardless of their social status in school. They didn't look down on anyone, and they didn't snub anyone Funny, by doing this naturally, they became the most popular guys in school.

Jim R, and Owen C (both former teammates and coaches), who each had a moral and ethical code for living, and made every attempt to live it by those standards.

And I have had the fortune to have met perhaps hundreds of other like them over the years.

Money. Nice to have, but irrelevant in the main scheme of things. I have friends, and a lot of them.
