"Being Deserving of Success ..."

If you don't feel like you deserve “material success”¾and many people don’t (on an unconscious level)¾all you have to do is to help more people, and give more to your customers.

Then, when you’re driving your dream car, you can say “Of course I deserve this, I’ve improved hundreds of people’s lives.”

(Which is the real reward anyway.)

Just a quick thought. : )

    Interesting thought.

We all get what we deserve (imho). If you are not getting what you want then perhaps something needs to change.

And, this is something people can change. : )

Many people who win the Lottery either end up going broke or being unhappy. I'm guessing because they don't think (really) that they deserve their "success."
When I have enough money to buy whatever I want I'll appreciate it because it's something I've worked for, and have helped many people.

Your interesting thread captivates my attention since I'm a true believer of success results in helping others, exercising the law of giving and circulation.

Only thinking this verse "For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future" - Jeremiah 29:11", I don't feel worry about my life :-)

This is just my idea that I want to share. Thanks :-)

You're right...many people feel guilty for being successful. But how many more people can you help when you are a success. It doesn't better the world to be struggling right along with everyone else...Someone must blaze the trail

I agree..that's why the bible says *we are blessed to be a blessing.* We can't bless someone else (financially anyway) if we're struggling and can't help ourselves.

Thanks for sharing your thought. Always do your best to be a blessing to others, then more blessings will follow.

That is another way of subconciously programming your mind that you deserve such. Another way is to do Hard Work and you can tell yourself that the material things that you own now are the product of your hard work.

there is a lot more satisfaction when giving. However most people don't feel it that way as they NEED money. When money isn't an issue, the greater pleasure lies from giving.

Its a great post! Its important for every individual to introspect themselves and come to a conclusion whether they are a deserving a candidate for the success. If they have done, am sure they will get more and more in their life. Else, it will be purely based upon the luck which cannot be sustained in the long run.

We can indeed be our own worst enemy when we don't feel worthy of receiving. Changing your mind by giving to others can work, unless you're a person who gives and gives and never accepts anything in return.

Realizing that you need to accept good things (including material things) is the beginning. You may need to cut yourself some slack and know that you won't be able to receive gracefully unless you've practiced for a while.

That is a great way to think about feeling deserving of success. One should definitely engage in actions that are benefiting to both self and others. This is where value is created it seems.

I agree. When we focus on serving others and adding value to their lives, we receive rewards in a variety of ways, some of them monetary or material. And we feel good about ourselves.

When our focus is on what we can "get" from what we do, that just pumps us up with anxiety as we "worry" about making a buck.

this is simplistic as an explination..but success is achieved not deserved ..

i believe the phrase i heard ..is "in life you don't get what you deserve..you get what you negotiate "

an most people don't actualy value themselves enough to feel deserving of much ..
