devonm's road to success
Then I ended up playing my life away on the net for some years and in the mid 2000's found Get Paid to and PTC programs. I thought I hit a goldmine at the time. Then the recession hit and these dried up.
Finally I was floating aimlessly in cyberspace for some time. 2010,I found Fiverr and did articles there for a while, and made 400 dollars there, but the articles were tedious and I really didn't like articles as much as I thought I might. Dropped out of that.
Drifted into another forum on and off and did little 4 dollar or less items on and off. Just pitiful spare change like you'd sweep off the street really.
Living on bottle recyclers amounts of change, internet-style, I just got roughly 15 dollars of change online all of 2010 and 2011. I was ANXIOUS to find something that was marketable, I really was suffering with wonderment of what I could POSSIBLY do.
Well, TRAPPED UNDER MY THICK SKULL was several skills that were ACTUALLY MARKETABLE! TRAPPED! Unable to pop out and remind me that they were THERE!
I "broke" a hole in my skull metaphorically by going to this forum and helping out on a Wordpress problem someone was having. Suddenly, the memories of the skills I had HURRIED to the surface and breathed in the air, all of the air that they could get! My skull was closing the memories of the really truly marketable skills under like people stuck under ice.
I instantly gained a very intensely bright ray of hope, soon as I remembered oDesk and decided to search for needs of my skills there.
HOOOO-BOY!
Was I in for a wake up call. There were HUNDREDS of requests for my skills from 90 dollars worth up to 5K. Average was from 100 to 700 dollars. I screamed LOUDLY and woke up the neighbors.
The (men) skills caught under the ice kept chugging in the air and I knew I hit something major.
My attitude went up from frustration to JUBILATION!
